Worst people to hire. They lack morals and ethics. They ruined my wedding and were full of excuses…read morethat made no sense.
They did not set up the backdrop I prepaid for and they confirmed they would set up. I paid them over $1,500 to provide desserts, table set up, and a backdrop for my wedding. Felicia asked me before my wedding if I still wanted the backdrop because my venue was pretty. I told her, yes definitely, I want the backdrop that I already paid her for and planned my wedding around. I had my wedding set up so that the backdrop would cover the seating charts from behind. Vintage Kitchen decided DURING my wedding that they would not set up the backdrop I paid them for and planned for, without telling me. She decided by herself that she would not set up what was already paid for and confirmed. I didn't see it until it was too late. So, the back of my seating charts were visible right behind the dessert table and it was so ugly.
Vintage Kitchen began the night by arriving 30 minutes late to set up. They approached the dessert table when we were beginning our wedding party entrance at 6pm. Our cake and desserts were not set up by the time we had to do our cake cutting (after the wedding party entrance, our first dance, and table dash), the table was still bare - about an hour after the agreed upon set up time.
I reached out to Felicia the following day during my mini-moon to tell her what happened, and instead of being sincere, she was making up excuses. She said she tracks her assistant and her assistant arrived onsite at 5:38pm, minutes after our agreed on time of 5:30pm (as if that should have been ok). This is ridiculous because she should have been setting up at 5:30pm, NOT barely arriving in the parking lot at 5:38pm, in her car. I told Felicia that, and she didn't care. Her assistant didn't reach the dessert table for setup until about 6pm when we were doing our wedding party entrance. Felicia then went on to blame my other vendors as to why my desserts were not set up on time and blamed them for why they did not set up the backdrop, which made no sense. It was NOT my other vendors' fault that Felicia's assistant was late and couldn't set up because it was about 6pm and we were doing our entrance. It was not my other vendors' fault that Felicia's assistant made the decision on her own to not set up the backdrop I confirmed, paid for, and planned my wedding around. I can confirm that my vendors did not impede their set up in any way, but Vintage Kitchen wanted to lay blame on others for their own wrong doing. Felicia also told me it's up to their "discretion" if they want to set it up or not. How does that make any sense when they are prepaid for the service and I confirmed with them? It was a very rough back and forth with her. Felicia was full of excuses.
Felicia said she would refund me $50 for the backdrop (I don't think the backdrop was only $50, but that's what she was offering) and sent me $50 on Paypal, then she took it back within 30 minutes of sending it! She took back what she said she would refund me. I saw $50 in my Paypal from her, then the $50 vanished in half an hour. I messaged her to ask her about it, and she ghosted me. It has been almost 3 years since and still no refund of any sort, no reply, and no sincere apology or way to try to make things right, even though she posted my wedding to market herself. I paid her over $1,500, she messed up my wedding, kept money for a service she did not provide, and this is how she behaves.
I left her a review on her business Facebook and she deleted the ability to leave reviews to get rid of my review, then blocked me. I also left a review on her Google business, but she deleted it to get rid of my review. Now that she has it back up, I feel it is my duty to let others know my experience with Felicia and Vintage Kitchen.
There are plenty of other local bakers who have delicious desserts and have better morals and ethics, who actually value their customers.
