    Storefront - plenty of parking

My husband and I walked in while waiting for an oil change close by. We were blown away from the modem interior - high ceilings, bright, and spacious. Let's talk about the meats - premium quality meats, individual sealed and wrapped and a huge selection. I can definitely see myself coming back to try the lamb pepperoni and other cured meats for a picnic. If you're looking to wow your taste buds for dinner - come here. It's on the pricier side but you can't get these types of meats at your local Publix or Kroger. We sampled the Bloody Mary mix while there and it had a huge kick. We will definitely be back. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of parking. I hope this business does well in the neighborhood.

A trip around the world and a walk down memory lane…read more It's been decades since I stepped foot inside the Buford Highway Farmers Market, and being back felt like a beautiful reunion. The last time I walked these aisles, I was with my mama, Donna Theresa. So much has changed since then, yet the soul of this place remains as vibrant as ever. It feels more expansive than I remember. A true global treasure tucked right here in the city. I'm still obsessed with how they organize the aisles by country. In just one afternoon, I traveled from Korea to Eastern Europe to Central America, no passport required! I was officially "team sample" the moment they offered! Unlike the heavy, sugary profile of traditional American cakes, these were a masterclass in balance. I tried the Neapolitan, a stunning phyllo-layered creation that was light, buttery, and perfectly textured. But the Lemon Cream Cake? It stole the entire show. It looked picture-perfect on the shelf, and the taste was even better. It was so bright, airy, and just the right amount of decadence. Coming back here wasn't just a grocery trip; it was a win for my palate and my heart. Now that I'm back in the area, you can bet this is becoming a regular stop on my rotation. I purchased a pack of tofu along with some other items on March 11. I open the fridge a few days later on March 15, finally ready to prepare the tofu, just to see that the exp date on the pack was March 10. This picture was taken March 15 upon this discovery. I meant to update this review a while ago. I just can't spend money here anymore knowing that I'm liable to accidentally purchase old products. As customers, we should not have to be this vigilant at a grocery store... it's ridiculous.

So when Alpharetta opened, I was ready. Let's start with what they got right. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful. It's giving upscale, classy, a little loud but still grown and sexy. You can tell it's meant to feel expensive. And I do love a good valet moment right at the front... makes the night start off smooth. Now... this birthday dinner situation. We had a reservation for 9 and somehow ended up split into separate booths across what felt like multiple sections. For a birthday? That's just not it. Especially when I'm looking around seeing other parties our size seated together with no issue. There was even additional seating that was never offered to us. The service felt just as scattered as the seating. Our server was kind but clearly overwhelmed. Because we were split up, everything came out disorganized... and I mean full chaos. Entrées before salads, appetizers hitting at different times, and one person never received their appetizer at all. That's not the experience you expect here. Now let's talk food... because this is where I really had to pause. I ordered my steak medium. It came out rare. Okay, mistakes happen... but when it came back, it was extra well done. And I'm sorry, at a steakhouse? That's just unacceptable. That should be the one thing you get right every time. Now I will absolutely give credit where it's due. The wedge salad? Delicious. Fresh, crisp, and that blue cheese dressing with the crumbles... divine. The lobster tail was also really good, no complaints there. The Brussels sprouts, though, were undercooked and just didn't land. Overall, the flavors just didn't hit the way I know this brand can. It lacked that consistency I've experienced before, and that was disappointing. I did speak with a manager and they were gracious and invited me back, which I appreciate. And I'm going to be fair... they are newly opened, so I'll give them some time to tighten things up. But right now? It's a no for me on the overall experience. I'd still recommend checking it out for the ambiance and potential, but if you're going, just know they've got some things to get together first. I'll revisit... just not anytime soon.

If you are looking for the ultimate destination for fresh international produce, authentic global spices, and an unparalleled selection of exotic groceries, this is the place to be. I walked in needing a few simple fresh vegetables and some specific culinary spices, but I ended up discovering so much more in every vibrant aisle. The sheer variety is a dream for any home cook or food enthusiast looking to elevated their kitchen game in 2026. The highlight of the trip had to be the live seafood section. Seeing the live tilapia swimming right there is a testament to the quality and freshness that City Farmers Market maintains. It is rare to find such a high standard of fresh caught fish and specialty meats all under one roof. Whether you are searching for organic greens, hard-to-find Asian ingredients, or Hispanic pantry staples, this market has mastered the art of being a one-stop shop for the Duluth community. The atmosphere was energetic, the shelves were meticulously stocked, and the overall experience was a perfect ten out of ten. It has a great outdoor patio, indoor dining, and a full bar with libations to satisfy every palette. Everything is super clean, from the tables and booths to the floors, and they also offer some fun retail items if you want to take something home. I ordered the Greggah lobster roll warm with their mustard sauce. It came on a top-loaded, buttery toasted bun filled with warm, fresh lobster. Absolute perfection. I also had the crab balls, calamari, and a house salad. The crab balls had a nice spice without going overboard and were served with a flavorful house-made sauce. The calamari was cooked well done, just how I like it--crispy, tender, and not rubbery at all. The sweet and hot sauce they serve it with is divine. The Louie sauce is my personal favorite. They make almost everything from scratch in-house, including the sauces and their slaw. The slaw is cool, creamy, tangy, and sweet--exactly like the kind I grew up eating. The house salad was generously portioned and full of crisp, fresh ingredients, all clearly prepped in-house. I came back the next day for lunch and caught the house-made clam strips special. I got the clam strip basket with sautéed vegetables--same side I had the night before because they were that good. The vegetables are crisp and vibrant, not mushy or overcooked like you sometimes get elsewhere. I also had a cup of clam chowder that was thick, creamy, and packed with flavor. You can taste the coast in every bite. The chain was founded in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, and it still carries that same coastal character. The staff here--bartenders and servers alike--are extremely friendly and helpful, which just adds to the overall experience.

Review for H Mart H…read moreMart is one of my favorite Korean grocery stores--ever. I remember when they first opened locations in the Bay Area in places like San Francisco and San Jose, and I would gladly make the trek just to shop there. I've never been disappointed. The stores are always clean, organized, and full of incredible food options. What really makes H Mart special, though, is that it's more than just a grocery store--it's an experience. Inside this massive market, you'll find a bakery, authentic Korean food stalls, and restaurant-quality meals being made fresh. It's honestly amazing to walk into a grocery store and have access to food that tastes like it came straight from a restaurant kitchen. Because I travel frequently for work across the Southeast--covering a pretty large region--I'm always on the lookout for an H Mart whenever I'm near one. I've been lucky to have access to locations like Cary, North Carolina, and the one in Buford outside Atlanta, which serves a large and vibrant Asian community. Whenever I'm within a reasonable driving distance--usually within about 10 miles--I make a point to stop in and enjoy a delicious, authentic Korean meal that's made to order and very reasonably priced. I've brought friends and colleagues with me, and they've all been blown away by the food stalls. My personal go-to: * LA galbi (Korean short ribs)--if it's on the menu, I'm ordering it * All the little banchan side dishes--I absolutely love them * Fresh seafood options, including live crab and fish that can be cleaned and prepared for you * A stop at the bakery for dessert--think croissant donuts, almond pastries, or a beautiful layered crepe cake Some locations--even the ones I visited years ago on the West Coast--would steam or fry seafood for you right there, which makes dinner incredibly convenient. Another thing I appreciate is the cleanliness. This store truly rivals places like Whole Foods in terms of organization and quality, even while handling live seafood. The parking lots are typically spacious, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. I also love browsing the aisles for specialty ingredients you can't find everywhere. For example, they carry my favorite laksa noodles, which remind me of a Malaysian dish I fell in love with while visiting a friend in Mauritius. It's always fun to discover unique items like that. The staff--both in the grocery store and at the food stalls--are friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. Bottom line: If you're anywhere near Cary, North Carolina--or even the Buford, Georgia area--do yourself a favor and make a beeline to H Mart. As a lifelong foodie, I truly believe: Life is too short not to eat well.
