History
Established in 1985.
As a music hobbyist in the mid 1970s, President/CEO Gregg Brunclik started building speakers in his dad's basement. Under the name Clearwing Audio, he provided sound at festivals and small music venues in Milwaukee. But, when Eddie Rabbitt came to the Milwaukee Performing Arts Center in 1979, Clearwing provided the sound system for its first big gig and the business suddenly became real. After the show, Eddie Rabbitt asked if Clearwing could be in Norman, Oklahoma, three days later. "He liked what we did that night, and he just asked us to get on the train and come along," Gregg said. "And it was a five-year ride."
In 1985, Clearwing Audio officially became an incorporated company, and in the following years began to expand its client list beyond music and festivals into a full-survice production company with offices in Milwaukee and Phoenix.
