They were very lax about calling you with information concerning when they were coming to do the installation and any follow-up afterward was always initiated by us. During installation the installers almost broke the granite, had my husband not been watching they would have. He told them to just slide it in because they were trying to "wiggle" it in from the top down the sides. In the process they caused a lot of damage to our drywall, we had scraps, scuffs, and lots of chunks torn out of it. We also had a side splash piece that was chipped and they used the wrong color of chalk! They told us that the company would come out and fix the drywall and get the side piece. We waited a day and when we didn't hear from them, we called the office and were told that they were not made aware of any damages! We sent them an email on Sept 18 stating the damages including pictures. After about 2 weeks of calling about when someone would get out to fix it and pick up the side splash piece, we finally got the owner out to look at it, about another week later! He stated that the contract said there might be some scuffs to drywall and we stated that these damages were much more than "scuffs"! He finally agreed to send someone out to fix it and said if they couldn't do so very soon then he would give us a $100 credit so we could get it fixed. We waited another week or so and never heard from them, so I finally called my charge company and disputed the charges because we were having so much trouble getting our side piece fixed and reinstalled and the drywall money. On Oct 9, 2023, they came to get the side piece and returned it on Oct 16th. On October 16, 2023, the owner finally called back to say he couldn't get on his contractor schedule "anytime soon" so he would just pay us the $100. He called on Oct 18th to say he wanted his money now that he had completed the installation of the side piece and reneged on paying the $100 for the drywall! I told him that I had released half of the bill and would release the other half when he paid us the $100 he agreed. He refused and went ballistic screaming at us on the phone! He accused us of using the system to get a free countertop, screaming at us that he wanted his money back in cash not redeposited into his account through the charge card because "we couldn't be trusted!" He even showed up at our house and continued his rampage! He did pay us the $100 in cash but still insisted that we pay him the other half of the bill because he didn't want to wait for the charge company to redeposit it, we told him we would not pay him again, and he just needed to wait just like we waited on him. It has been a nightmare dealing with him! The worst business experience we have ever had!!!

American Leak Detection came out and found the problem which was, as expected, at the drain that was newly installed during the $12,700 pool upgrade and liner install. Why doesn't this company follow up with customers request to come back out since there was a leak? I am getting legal help and starting a claim today for monies lost due to leak and the cost to have the Leak Detection folks come out and do the job the pool guy didn't do. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING...Unless you hold off on paying until you know things are correct. ------------------------------------------------------ Original POST..... We had our pool liner replaced and had the deep end shallowed up to 6 or so feet. The Company that worked on our pool was T L Marshall Custom Pools at 143 Oakcrest Road, Huntsville Alabama 35811 The rocks were added and eventually, the liner was installed. As the liner was being buttoned up the guy told me "Now, don't add water until about 2 hours to give the caulk time to dry". Well, we took his advice and doubled it waiting 4 hours to allow dry time. We filled our pool and started the pump. It was noticed that our pool was leaking at a fairly fast rate and the pool guy points to evaporation. My response was, "Our last liner didn't lose water at such a rate even in very hot weather". Another data point was he reused the stair strips to fasten to the steps instead of buying a new kit. I've asked several other Pool People and they all say that stuff is standard and he was cutting corners. Well I can't make him drop by and check things but I did notice the caulk was flaking off around the pool steps and landing at the bottom of the pool. This was a sign. I called another pool guy since this one wasn't doing anything about it much less returning my calls etc. This guy immediately found two leaks around the steps and attempted to fix them. This guy charged me $125 for the service call and $25 for caulking materials. He quickly stated, "Why did he use this kind of caulk?". This slowed the leak but obviously, there were more. I then reported T L Marshall to the BBB and this prompted a response and he showed back up. He never once mentioned the BBB complaint. He began applying caulk to the same steps and screws around the steps where the liner is fastened. All the while the pool pump was still running and as anyone who works with pools and leaks knows you turn off the pump. Then, as he was leaving that day with his helper he said now you call me if anything else comes up. --------- fast forward. I have sent multiple text messages made several phone calls and left a few voicemails. All to no response. So then, I reported again to the BBB. This time he responded with (copied from BBB website) "The $150 was returned to them and the leak is a result of him not following the directions that I gave to them. Water was put on the pump before it cured. I got in the water and made the necessary repair the leak. It is all fixed now." I answered this response with, "The problem still exists and the business is not returning my phone calls, or text messages. and the like. We waited 4 hours before filling the pool but he had advised 2 hours for cure time and both of us remember him saying 2 hours". What or how should I approach getting this fixed? Call an attorney? Get another Pool Company or Leak Detection company to fix it then write it up again on the BBB? Send the bills to T L Marshall? I just want the pool to be right and over amount spent was $12,700 which he has been paid. I guess he expects me to just go away since he has been paid. By all means avoid this company for all your pool needs. If they can treat me this way they will treat someone else the same.

They also ripped two screens on our sunroom and never replaced them (we had them replaced through another vendor). After they removed the old roof and replaced it, it started to hold water the next day and my sunroom looked like a waterfall. After 4 days of using a tiny heat gun they left. Another week or so went by (we had no rain) and it was fine until it started to rain again. We had over a foot of water at the top of the roof. 5 other roofing companies have come out and looked at the mess they have made. They have all said it was the wrong style roof, it did not need rafters as it is a sunroom, it did not need joists or beams in the room if the correct roof had been put on properly. 256 decided to walk away from this roof and did not hold themselves accountable for their mistakes. They said they never received funding approval, but I have since found out that they did. Now, the roof has 9+ inches of water and is fully caving in (see photos of progress) as we are still trying to find a roofer who will actually work on the mess 256-Roofers LLC left behind.
