You get what you pay for. We purchased a pool 3 years ago from this company. Our pool was installed with one experienced person and 2 brand new employees who had little to no experience installing pools. Half way through the build the experienced employee left, leaving the other two on their own. The next day only the experienced employee showed up and noticed a lot of mistakes. So yes, the thousands of dollars invested in our pool was left to a couple of new people that apparently messed a lot of things up. It gets better, year 2, the gasket that connects the filter basket to the outside liner (wasn't installed properly) leaked, pulling water behind the liner. We were charged for a new gasket I think it was $90 for the gasket plus a $90 service call, $180 Woo Hoo! Year 3, rust holes started showing where the water leaked through. Supposed to be a full coverage warranty for the outer liner right? Nope, you can get the outer liner which IS covered by the warranty BUT... you have to pay shipping and handling for the outer liner to come in from CANADA... then pay an installation fee. Here it comes, prepare yourself. $4000 to fix the pool with full coverage warranty! What a joke! Do yourself a favor if you're looking for a pool go to "Pools Patios and Spas" off Richlands Hwy in Jacksonville. Great people, great advice, great prices, they may cost a little more than Clearwater but like I said you get what you pay for. They sent one of their repair guys to look at the condition of our pool (free, no service charge). When Clearwater told us what it would cost to fix our "WARRANTEED" pool. We decided to just fix it on our own. $30 later the holes are gone, the rust is gone, a lot of man hours to fix a pool that has a "warranty". Next time something goes wrong we'll figure it out. I almost forgot to mention, our pump motor popped a leak after the first year. Not part of the warranty, it needed a new gasket and spring. Clearwater water wanted $25 for the part. Guess where we got it? Pools Patios and Spa for $5. I will never step foot in Clearwater again. I will drive the extra couple of miles to see the great folks at Pools Patio and Spas off Richlands Hwy for the rest of my pool needs. read more
