Comfortable beds, plenty of room in the refrigerator, and everything was clean, neat, and comfortable when we arrived. And even though I had been skeptical of the "world's greatest tire swing," it lived up to its reputation while we had a campfire and cook out! It's also in a great location! Shops and restaurants are a quick walk down the road, and if you're looking for attractions, they're all a short drive away. We spent our time at Fun Spot, but most of the best parts of the Lakes Region are within 30-40 minutes. Lastly, David, the owner, was great to work with! He was responsive to e-mail and phone calls, entirely accommodating of our large group, and just generally a pleasure to speak with. Michelle and Geordy have been giving my mother the runaround and have stopped returning her calls. Despite multiple assurances that the check was mailed, we have received nothing. They do not return calls, do not provide specific information in emails, and are simply holding onto my family's deposit. Michelle and Geordy, we expect a phone call and our deposit returned before we contact our attorneys and the AG's office. This review will be updated once we hear back and receive our deposit.

They are keeping up with technology, as they have satellite TV and great wifi. They even have a public computer with a printer. The kitchen was small but very efficient and fairly new. The work-out room is nice, and the pool is warm and clean. They keep the grounds well groomed and are really paying attention to guest comfort. Being an older resort, the floors creak some and so do the stairs, which I think adds to the experience of staying in a colonial building.
