Our…read morehosts Gretchen and Keith were warm and friendly and we felt at ease with them in their gorgeous historic home. We stayed in the "Vintage" room which was spacious and yet cozy. The bed was very comfortable. We were able to open the large bedroom window and feel the lovely cool Maine air. The adjacent shared bathroom was large and so luxurious with its double sinks. The home is beautifully decorated with a variety of antiques and special touches.The library and sitting room common areas seemed both stately and comfortable at the same time. The entire home was clean and inviting. A scrumptious homemade breakfast was the icing on the cake! Wonderful. The wraparound porch is large and the garden area and is calming and serene. The flowers around the home are magnificent. There is also a raised screened in porch area off the kitchen to relax in. The home is close to Sebago lake and the New Hampshire border and you can easily walk to the center of town to do some antique shopping or eat at Krista's restaurant. We very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Perkins House and plan to return. 4.75 stars.

The property and house are beautiful, clean and well maintained. Every morning we were able to start our day off right with a great breakfast. You can get a gluten free option if you like. Matt and Lynn were so nice during our stay. Lynn had so many great recommendations of places to eat and things to do. Even when I asked where can I see a moose! We enjoyed all of our time at the inn. There's ample room to sit outside with a drink, a book and relax in nature. We are looking forward to our next visit and exploring more of what Maine has to offer!

The vibes at Snowvillage can only be described as warm, inviting, and peaceful. And owners Jen and Kevin could not be more accommodating. The grounds are beautifully kept. Nothing beats waking up to fresh air, mountain views, and a hot complimentary breakfast. A major plus to this inn is having a phenomenal restaurant, Max's, just steps away from your door. Even if dining elsewhere, it's nice to be able to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail and app at the bar without the drive to another location. And just about everything I've had at Max's has been absolutely delicious. Only a 20 minute drive from North Conway, there's also plenty to do nearby from shopping outlets to great restaurants to outdoor activities. I definitely recommend a day at Crystal Lake if you're visiting in the warmer months! Overall, this inn holds a special place in my heart. Husband and I took a moment to go to the freshen up and came back downstairs, still looked like no staff was around. There was a gentleman at the bar drinking wine, and a few customers dining at different tables. Finally, we see a waitress that greeted and seated us. Tried to order a bottle of wine, only to find out their delivery truck didn't arrive, so they were very limited on their wine offering. While we are dining, we over hear other folks dining saying there was no hot water in the building. As another diner arrives, we can hear them sounding agitated as they made reservations, and were limited to their ordering at the bar, as the waitress was also the bar tender for everyone in the restaurant. The person that was helping these customers out was the same person drinking at the bar when we walked in....no idea why he didn't offer any assistance when we walked in The next morning, a sweet cook named Joe was the only person cooking, serving and cleaning....food was pretty good, but was running out faster than what he could prepare. The location is beautiful, but the lack of service was disappointing.

She just bought the business this spring and she is doing a great job running the place. My fave part of the inn was this great porch overlooking the yard. It was so peaceful and we sat out there for several hours. Sadly it rained the whole time we were there but we stayed nice and dry on the porch and relaxed listening to the rain on the roof. The breakfast was so good. We had so many things to eat and everything was delish. Mariah also directed us to a local running trail that was very close by - which was perfect for us (even tho it was raining). Lastly - we met so many awesome people that were also staying there from all over the world. Had great conversations at night and also the next morning at breakfast.
