Had another set, well two sets of lights put on the new GSA. Once again I went to Clearwaters shop to have them installed, Erica's on top and Darla's on the forks, amazing attention to detail with the install. The lights are amazing and make the bike almost impossible not to see coming. I had a light go bad. Since I had the bike for sale, I needed immediate replacement and paid the cost for a new light since I would have to get the bike to a shop for replacement (the tank has to be removed). I then got a call the light had been repaired and they were going to send the repaired light to me. I was not happy about it and politely expressed my displeasure. They later came back and offered a $200 credit on a $330 light and $200 installation cost. Not exactly an equitable solution for selling poor quality merchandise. While I appreciate the representative going to her manager and getting something, I won't be buying from Clearwater again due to substandard product. The only reason they have 3 stars instead of 1 is the representative at least made an effort to mitigate the impact of their marginal product. read more

I'm glad I went with Clearwater Lights for my Honda Rebel 1100! They mount up perfectly to the front fender bolts, everything taps in very well. When you turn on your high beam, the fog lights also go brighter. You can tap into your horn so when you honk, the lights get brighter. It also comes with a dimmer so you can ride with your low beam on, & turn the dimmer switch up so your fog lights are lighting up the way! Highly recommend! read more

We took the GF's '19 Street Bob in for the Darla lights and had a great experience. They were friendly and answered our questions. You could tell the owner was proud of his business since he gave us a tour and showed us the shop where all lights are built and tested. On our first outing with her new lights she was happy. Lit up the roads in night riding. Even on darker curvy roads. So, we took my '22 Street Glide ST in for the Krista lights and were met with the same friendly cheer and service. The only slight annoyance was the check engine light came with the installation. I checked the code and found a battery voltage interruption code, cleared it right quick, and good to go. If you're thinking of adding lights, Clearwater is the place!!! And their lights are the lights!! read more

I would like to say a few things about Clearwater Lights and the President/Owner Glenn Stasky. Glenn and I have known each other personally and professionally for over 10 years. I have had Clearwater Lights installed on two of my motorcycles - first in 2012 on my 2004 BMW R1150RT and then, after selling that bike to my younger brother 3 years ago, had Glenn install a pair of Darla lights and a Billie Brake light with a CANopener on my current 2014 R1200RT. I get amazing positive comments on the quality of the lights on my bike wherever I go, and , belong to a riding group, I have recemtly referred two friends who have installed Clearwater Lights - one a former State Undercover Agent in the Bay Area who went to the Clearwater shop and had a full set installed on his R1300GS, and another a rather famous retired plastic & reconstructive surgeon who is absolutely delighted with his Clearwater Lights on his Harley Ultra Classic. Glenn is a highly ethical and respected person in the motorcycle industry. We have been side by side in booths at trade shows several times, and I admire his professionalism, interaction with customers and his overall work ethic. I have also been to the factory several times in Rancho Cordova and observed the comraderie and good vibes among his employees, which are more like family. Glenn and Clearwater Lights are a "best bet" if you are looking to add auxillary lights for safety to your riding experience. I can heartily recommend Clearwater Lights, and Glenn without hesitation. read more

I purchased the Darla lights and Billy break lights for my 2018 BMW Grand America. The installation began as soon as I turned the bike off. I put a set off Darlas on my BMW S1000R. The parts guy at my local dealer told me these were in his opinion the best lights available and that his customer experience with Clearwater Lights had been excellent. Both these observations turned out to be accurate. The construction, fit and finish are of OEM quality. I managed to dump my bike practicing U turns on a mountain road with a couple different angles and managed to knock something loose in the light causing its failure. A call the Clearwater, a return of the non-working light, and I had a new one in less than a week. I am most pleased with this company, these folks, and their products. read more

Buying Clearwater Lights and putting them on your motorcycle WILL save your LIFE. They are incredibly resilient and functional, but most of all, they are noticed by all of the distracted cage drivers. I currently ride about 11,000 miles per year having to go between Oakland and Sacramento, where splitting the lane is a must. These lights make me visible. People part like the Red Sea. I would NEVER ride or drive anywhere without these lights. I even put them on my F-150 Raptor. More importantly is knowing that you're dealing with a company that puts customers first and that is the epitome of Clearwater Lights. I received a brand new still in the box set of Clearwater lights as a package deal along with my motorcycle. I needed a bigger set of lights for off-road so I reached out to Clearwater and asked if they were willing to accommodate an exchange. They were gracious enough to accept. Upon receiving my lights customer service contacted me and provided me with a credit offer. I happily accepted. Soon after there was a pause on the phone and suddenly they retracted that offer and made a lower one by $150. I thought that was an odd thing to do but I said ok and proceeded to modify my order because of the now lower budget I was working with. The customer service team apparently did not like that so they returned to the phone to let me know they were not going to pursue the exchange because it was no longer worth it for them and I was condescendingly told to go to eBay with my lights to sell them instead. I was genuinely insulted by this treatment and disappointed they would back out of a commitment like that. To me when you say you are going to do something you should see it through to the end. As a business owner myself I can honestly say that Glenn, Billy, and Angela handled this situation like amateurs. I will be happily taking my business over to Denali. read more

Let me start by saying Clearwater Lights for my BMW 1200 GS were the smartest purchase I have ever made. I had my lights installed at the Company Headquarters near Sacramento, Ca. I have had the lights for over 3 years and they have worked flawlessly since then. The additional visibility that I have at night is unprecedented . I guess for anyone looking for motorcycle lights have to ask the following questions: - what's my budget? - how long do I want to keep these lights? - what are the road conditions I would like to improve and "light up"? I would definitely recommend looking into getting a Clearwater lightning system because: - it is used by law enforcement, which means it needs to comply with stringent conditions of longevity and use - I use their lights since 2014 and had no issues since - they use the latest generation of LED lightning technology which means your lights will be the best for years to come, others are just catching up later read more

I've seen their work on law enforcement bikes and know a few people who have had their lights installed here. I've skimmed amazon pages and found cheaper lights however, that's exactly what I would have gotten, cheaper lights. My understanding is the cheaper ones are made in China and also can get really hot and last about a year. Clearwater installed their lights with a full warranty. Professionally installed with a dimmer switch as well. They also make it when you turn on the high beams the running lights also go full bright. I feel so much safer now that everyone can see me a mile away!! Thank you Clearwater Lights! read more

Installed the Glenda's on the front fork 5 months after I purchased my F650GS. I have been using my Glenda lights for the past 4 months now for my NC700X. The visibility during the day as running lights is substantially brighter than my headlight. Cars change lanes as I approach from behind now, and at night, the Glenda's actually outshine the bike's headlight both in regular and high beam mode. The ability to vary the brightness is a big plus when I'm at night and there are no street lights in the area. If you have to make one addition to your bike, get a set of Clearwater lights. read more

Installed the Darla lights on fork mounts and must say the guys at Clearwater Lights did an excellent job on a ride-in installation. Getting both side faring panels plus the dash panel off the FJR to get access to the headlight relays the lights need to tap into was a bit of a challenge. They spent their time and did a very clean install, not only in getting the wiring harness secure and tucked solidly away, but finding the one area to accommodate running harness to the dimmer knob in a location that is accessible but inconspicuous. The lights themselves are fantastic and I really like the Hi-Viz cover lenses (that are a special color the owner Glenn Stasky researched from I think a BMW study about what color drew the most attention from oncoming drivers) that slip on quickly, or can be removed if you just want the white LEDs shining. The lights have a nice range of adjustment through the dimmer knob, from low "see, I'm here" levels to full bright light-up-the-road level, and they are also tapped into the highbeam circuit so the Darla's go to full brightness if the highbeams are activated, over-riding whatever level the dimmer knob is currently set at. This is a very well-designed and executed product, and the people who work here truly seem to care about doing the very best work for the rider. Couldn't be more impressed with the lights and the staff at Clearwater. read more

Besides having the best and brightest lights I have ever seen, the kind and responsive service of the Clearwater staff in astounding. Sure the lights are easily installable, and sure they are awesomely bright and adjustable, and sure they draw very little from the electrical system of my R1200GSA, but believe me, if you want real service by people who CARE about your safety in diminished lighting conditions, you have got to talk to Clearwater. I had questions about the installation because I'm a dufus dermatologist who doesn't know a battery from a gas tank, but they were so patient with me, called me back to check on my progress, and then when my brother-in-law saw the quality instrumentation, wiring, and actual lights, he ordered a set immediately. Since then, several sets were installed on bikes of members of our Beemers in the Bluegrass, and all are astounded at the quality of this product. Doesn't get any better. Pricey, yes. Worth every penny and the customer service is above reproach.

I recently finished installing my new Clearwater Krista lights on my 2009 BMW R1200RT, and they are WONDERFUL!! I wired the hot trigger wire to the low beam wire as their Glenda-model instructions for the RT show. I especially like the BMR Products brackets sold with the light kit for the RT; they install easily in a great location beneath the mirror housings. I use other BMR products and believe them of the highest quality, a fitting companion to these quality lights. The other lights on the bike are HID replacement low beams, stock halogen high beam and a set of LightFORCE 170 Striker 100W halogens mounted over the mirrors on the police bike mounts. I went out for a test ride Sunday morning at 3:30 a.m. during the darkest part of the night, and I was blown away! Using only the low beams, the Kristas set at about half strength nicely filled in the spaces left by the HID low beams, especially the center of the road at a distance just right for spotting immediate road hazards, such as the walking skunk I would have hit without the Kristas to light up the white stripe. They also give a little bit more distance vision than the HID low beams alone. Then I hit the high beams, and the world really lit up down the road. I would have no reluctance to ride at 65-70 mph with just the bikes lights (HID low beams & halogen high beam) and the Kristas with no fear of overdriving the beams. The LightFORCE halogens (with combination lenses--spot & spread together--installed) lit up along with the Kristas gives a bit more lighting far down the center of the road and fills in some off to the side of the road from their higher position. I finally have the full lighting solution I've been looking for on my night rides. The only improvement I could make now would be to convert the LightFORCE halogens to HID. Another plus with the Kristas is that in addition to their nighttime performance they fulfill the other purpose for motorcycle lighting, being seen during the day. And, if someone still fails to see the light display of the Kristas and HID low beams, the Kristas coming up to full intensity with a press of my loud horn will come close to waking the dead, and should thoroughly wake up any driver texting or reading the newspaper while commuting to work in the morning and drifting over into my lane. I showed off the Kristas to a few fellow riders gathered at my local BMW dealer for Saturday social hour, and they were impressed even in the clear, sunny daylight. I'm sure they would have been truly impressed had they been following along on my early morning ride. I can't leave without complimenting everyone I had contact with at Clearwater Lights. I talked to Glenn when I first called and ended up ordering my lights over the phone from him, taking advantage of the July special--free brackets. Later when I had a self-inflicted problem, I talked to Loretta and Scott, then Loretta again to order a replacement harness. I was impressed by their professionalism and friendly, fast assistance. I was also gratified to note not even a hint of a snicker when I told each of them in succession of my problem and its cause. The replacement parts arrived three days later by Priority Mail. (BTW, I received a different version of the harness with the switch ground built into the harness, and really like that change. The RT does not have a good place to attach a ground in the front of the bike and incorporating the ground into the main circuitry is a major improvement from my perspective.) Wanting both more conspicuity and nighttime illumination, I scoured the 'net for available lighting products and after a lot of "close but no cigars" I discovered Clearwater LED lights and installed their Darlas. To save a lot of typing, I'll just list what I like about them and the company.... * Friendly and helpful people from the top on down. * Well made products with quality components and connectors. * Hook up to BOTH high and low beam headlights so you don't go blind when dimming for an oncoming vehicle. 100% (wow) on high, variable intensity on low. * Handlebar mounted low beam dimmer--choose how much light you want for conspicuity. * On all the time, no switch. * Small current draw. * World's best instructions. * Bike specific mounting hardware for a clean look. * Nice looking. * Well worth the money. * I highly recommend you go with Clearwater, anything else is a distant second, at best. read more

Got my Erica kit as promised, with the snake skin braiding on the cabling. Clearwater really is a class act with its customer service and product quality. Your knowledge of the technical aspects of your products is amazing and rare with most of the front line people that answer the phone and take the orders. I appreciate it. Little things that most people would not notice, like just the right length cabling, highest quality harnesses and soldered and crimped connectors where applicable. I was impressed when I purchased the Darla's, but this time the evolution of the integration with the GS and the CO/3 shows your companies dedication to providing the highest quality product on the market, and deserving of the price point. I would increase the length of the communication cable coming out of the relay by a few inches so the connector is behind the fairing instead of the forward frame. Even though I was upgrading from Darla's to Erica's it was basically a complete new installation, except I already had power up front from the PDM60. Due my OCD nature, the uninstall/install took about 4 hours from start to stop but looks OEM. Thanks again for everything! read more
