A little update I was hoping it was only the front wheel that wasn't balanced correctly but upon getting the front balanced properly I now know both front and rear weren't balanced properly as I get a shaking vibration from the rear wheel now only rightfully so to be expected that if the front wheel wasnt balanced correctly neither is the rear wheel sorry Emma taking the rear wheel off is more inconvenient work than the front 2 stars....... otherwise the team has always taken good care of my needs and this has never happened previously whether it's negligence or laziness it's not for me to say but a inconvenience nonetheless gotta take it and roll with it I guess read more

They couldn't even get my tires put on in 24 hours, I dropped my wheels and tires off at 1pm on Friday. I called the store the same day around 230-3pm to check the eta on my tires. They said they would be done that evening, i had work near the store the next day so while on the phone call I told them I would be coming tomarrow afternoon to pick them up and pay, and they said cool I'll get them done and set them aside. I come back to the store after my work shift the next day (Saturday) and go to the parts section where I see my new tires in a stack next to my wheels still sitting where they were yesterday, I don't know how they didn't give me a call or anything to give me an update, what a great store. If I could rate my experience with extra stars I would!!! I came in here looking for a helmet, gloves, and shoes, getting ready to take my msf course at the end of may. Jay kindly took the time out of his morning and gave me much more than I could ever pay for, in knowledge and personal experience. He was so patient with me and went through several different designs/brands of helmets, to get me my perfect first helmet. Getting into the bike community with no friends or hands on experience can be nerve racking, but he really makes you feel comfortable and does not make you feel stupid for any questions you ask. As well as he explained everything in depth, from breaking in your helmets, what are things to look out for when purchasing a helmet and gloves, and even explained what bikes to go for as a beginner. Good luck bringing any tires in for replacement. They throw a fit about "how busy they are" but the place is always empty. Everything is overpriced. You gotta take the tire off the bike and bring it in, they don't promise anything and actually look mad you brought in more work. Apparently they don't have a dedicated tire person. I would plan a few days with the bike on the jack to get your tires done. There is no urgency. Recommend? I think you got me. read more

I went earlier on to the cycle gear and Sacramento to get two new Diablo Rosso fours put on my S1K. I let him know how important it was at this be done correctly. I got my wheels back after an hour and went home and found out that there was a whole bunch of weight on both of the wheels like six on the front in about 10 on the back maybe 12. We're talking about a lot of weight added to balance the track bike wheel. Not only that, but it looked absolutely horrible. After posting on Facebook, a bunch of people told me something is seriously wrong. I took my new tires on my rims that just got done a couple hours before over to the Cycle Gear in Rancho Cordova. Troy immediately helped me at the site, re-balance the wheels, and found out that there was approximately twice the amount of weight that it was supposed to have on there. He didn't put the weeds in the right area to make it look really beautiful and perfect. Yes, there still are people that care about quality in their jobs nowadays I highly recommend going to this location if you ever need to have tires done. read more

Stopped by this store and was fortunate to meet the manager, Sean. He is incredibly helpful. After running outside to get approval from my wife, he set me up with an awesome Shoei Dedicated helmet. I purchased a set of tires from CG on line and wasn't having a lot of fun mounting them when I pinched a tube...That's when I called the Rancho Cordova store and Mgr Sean sold me he had tubes in stock (despite on-line inventory showing 0) and he had 3 folks on the floor and any of them could help me out. (2 o'clock on an 83 degree spring Saturday I figured I'd be looking at the next week) I shot out there, met Seann, a nice very respectful young man they call Mowgli (Miguel) gloved up and disappeared with my rims. Before I could get out of the parking lot to grab a cup of coffee Mogli left me a VM saying I was ready to go. Looks like I might get those new tires dirty today after all.. I had confirmed with Mogli that he'd give me the $25 per mount rate when I dropped 'em off, but when he checked me out he said "I just charged you $16 for the new tube". I shook his hand and thanked both him and Sean for the fabulous service. In todays world it's great to find a place like this that still looks after and appreciates their customers. All I can say is I will hands down go to this location in Rancho Cordova from now on only. It's even further than the Sacramento location. But these guys are hands down honest a nice people and care more for the rider community and safety than making a profit. Aside from being overpriced the customer service here is nor good especially in the tire department. My father paid 450 dollars for tires and buys warrantys on everything he owns. Unfortunately Victor did not offer him one that day and when we went down to see what he could do for us he basically called my father a liar and swore he offered him a warranty that day. I purchased a heated riding jacket over two years ago. Experiencing problems I took the jacket back expecting to purchase a new switch with a slight discount. I spoke to one of the employees there being as honest as I remembered as far as the date. I was told that they had been having problems with this jacket. To my surprise Without hesitation the entire jacket was warranted out. I am a business owner and was greatly impressed with the customer service, and even offered to pay a portion of the cost of the new updated jacket. I believe that I got the original jacket for around $50. The new jacket had a price tag of just under $200 WOW! Great customer service, I own a Harley Davidson and because of this great Customer service I WILL buy anything that I can at this cycle gear. I purchased a Bilt Bluetooth helmet from the Sacramento location several months ago before the Rancho store opened. No reflection on Cycle Gear that the speaker on the first helmet blew out. Returned it to the Sac location and they swapped it out. Less than a month later the speaker on the same side of the second helmet blew out. I decided to go to the Rancho location since they are right in my backyard and will be doing my cycle needs shopping there from now on. Jeremy the manager helped me out and once again with no hassle whatsoever swapped out the helmet. We also spoke about after market Bluetooth options but they were pretty pricey. I figured hopefully third time will be the charm on this helmet. The Rancho location is quite a bit smaller than Sac but they have a great selection of helmets and gear.
