Sean was extremely helpful and patient when showing me and explaining to me about different helmets. They also were able to set up my Cardo.

Cycle gear is an awesome spot to get the gear you need to be safe and have fun on the road (or dirt trail if that's where you ride). They have a huge selection of helmets, jackets, gloves and maintenance supplies. This location is huge and you can be sure to find something you like or need. read more

A little update I was hoping it was only the front wheel that wasn't balanced correctly but upon getting the front balanced properly I now know both front and rear weren't balanced properly as I get a shaking vibration from the rear wheel now only rightfully so to be expected that if the front wheel wasnt balanced correctly neither is the rear wheel sorry Emma taking the rear wheel off is more inconvenient work than the front 2 stars....... otherwise the team has always taken good care of my needs and this has never happened previously whether it's negligence or laziness it's not for me to say but a inconvenience nonetheless gotta take it and roll with it I guess read more

Top service! Jay is phenomenal! I recently bought a bike, had no idea what I was looking for as far as gear. Cycle gear was my first stop after going down a deep dive online. Jay guided me to several different types of helmets to try on, was very patient and helpful. I learned some info in talks with him and am so glad I found this shop! It's a bit small but still plenty variety of motorcycle items to try on. He recommended I visit the biggest store nationwide off Madison. I did, but definitely prefer the Rancho store and service. I'll be back! As a lady rider, I felt comfortable during my visits. read more

Sean who is the store manager does a great job making sure customer service is the number one priority. In an era where customer satisfaction is waning, it is refreshing to see a veteran store manager care about customer loyalty and repeat sales. I highly recommend this particular Cycle Gear store. DO NOT buy online. Keep your money local and buy at Rancho Cordova Cycle Gear! read more

Excellent customer service, prompt greeting upon entering and friendly attitude. Shannon help me with selecting shoulder and elbow pads. But given their great sale on jackets I'm considering just purchasing a new one. Thank you for the excellent customer service and friendly attitude. I'll be returning soon. read more

Assisted by throughout my shopping for my jeans and clothes. They helped me get the exact size and gave me great suggestions. After helping me for a whole hour around the store, they still provided me with patience and great service. I also noticed how helpful they were to other customers while I was in store looking around. Possibly the best customer service I've experienced at a retail store. read more

They couldn't even get my tires put on in 24 hours, I dropped my wheels and tires off at 1pm on Friday. I called the store the same day around 230-3pm to check the eta on my tires. They said they would be done that evening, i had work near the store the next day so while on the phone call I told them I would be coming tomarrow afternoon to pick them up and pay, and they said cool I'll get them done and set them aside. I come back to the store after my work shift the next day (Saturday) and go to the parts section where I see my new tires in a stack next to my wheels still sitting where they were yesterday, I don't know how they didn't give me a call or anything to give me an update, what a great store. Now I am at my house with my wheels and tires still not on read more

Amazing customer service ! Thanks to Shannon and Kristi for helping me get my gear for the road !

It was 4pm on a saturday night and me being a procrastinator waited til the last minute to get some riding gear before my safety course tomorrow morning. The list was mandatory riding jackets , gloves and helmet. i told Caleb what i needed and was stressed out and he helped me get all my gear and even showed me what was on sale and everything. Sean Gruber was so helpful with my tie downs and gear I needed. He really took the time to show me how stuff work. Simple things that for a newbie mean a lot like setting up a ratchet. Shout out to the white staff who always are helpful. read more

Good luck bringing any tires in for replacement. They throw a fit about "how busy they are" but the place is always empty. Everything is overpriced. You gotta take the tire off the bike and bring it in, they don't promise anything and actually look mad you brought in more work. Apparently they don't have a dedicated tire person. I would plan a few days with the bike on the jack to get your tires done. There is no urgency. Recommend? I think you got me. read more

If I could rate my experience with extra stars I would!!! I came in here looking for a helmet, gloves, and shoes, getting ready to take my msf course at the end of may. Jay kindly took the time out of his morning and gave me much more than I could ever pay for, in knowledge and personal experience. He was so patient with me and went through several different designs/brands of helmets, to get me my perfect first helmet. Getting into the bike community with no friends or hands on experience can be nerve racking, but he really makes you feel comfortable and does not make you feel stupid for any questions you ask. As well as he explained everything in depth, from breaking in your helmets, what are things to look out for when purchasing a helmet and gloves, and even explained what bikes to go for as a beginner. I appreciate how much effort he put into my experience here and will be back again! Thank you so much for your time and kindness Jay! read more

I went earlier on to the cycle gear and Sacramento to get two new Diablo Rosso fours put on my S1K. I let him know how important it was at this be done correctly. I got my wheels back after an hour and went home and found out that there was a whole bunch of weight on both of the wheels like six on the front in about 10 on the back maybe 12. We're talking about a lot of weight added to balance the track bike wheel. Not only that, but it looked absolutely horrible. After posting on Facebook, a bunch of people told me something is seriously wrong. I took my new tires on my rims that just got done a couple hours before over to the Cycle Gear in Rancho Cordova. Troy immediately helped me at the site, re-balance the wheels, and found out that there was approximately twice the amount of weight that it was supposed to have on there. He didn't put the weeds in the right area to make it look really beautiful and perfect. Yes, there still are people that care about quality in their jobs nowadays I highly recommend going to this location if you ever need to have tires done. read more

Jay came through with the customer service today. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful the whole way through. Quote " Sir, we are a retail store that happens to have a tire changing machine in it. Changing tires is not our priority.." this is the response I received after calling in to see if my tire happen to be ready after dropping it off six hours prior with no other orders in front of me.. Inexpensive stuff that is better than "good enough" and there when you need it. There are lots of stores, some salespeople are more knowledgeable than others, but they are all pretty good. I had been away from riding due to an accident. I miss riding so much I am slowly getting my feet wet again. Needed a new helmet to get started. Stopped by this store and was fortunate to meet the manager, Sean. He is incredibly helpful. After running outside to get approval from my wife, he set me up with an awesome Shoei Dedicated helmet. Also helped me make sure it was the right size. Definitely a customer for life. In these days of less than good customer service, this was a nice change. Thank you Sean for being an excellent manager and so customer oriented. Million stars : -) read more

If I could give this place more then 5 stars I would. Sean was incredible. I came into the store yesterday knowing what I was looking for and he helped me find everything. Not only was he helpful in me finding the stuff I wanted but also made recommendations based on what gear I needed and what I was using it for. I would reccomend this place and to go see Sean to anyone. Matter of fact I am calling into corporate to make sure they know what a great job he did. read more

Cycle gear continues to disappoint, unless you want the latest and most expensive tech or there budget brands this cycle gear is a waste of time. I'm glad there is one in Rancho Cordova but if you continue to give shitty service you will loose all your business to online shopping. I was in the area today and called to see if they had a visor in stock for a helmet I just got... good news is they did! So I make the ride and walk in and they have it on hold.. so far so good.. That was right till I wanted to pay. The visor came out to be right around $50 so 20% than amazon but that's ok because I'll support a brick and mortar store.. I go to pay with a $100 bill and the girl and guy were like umm.. I can't break this do you have a card? I say yes I do, do you not have a safe with change in it? The guy then goes well I can't break that sorry. See, looks like you just lost another sale to the internet Pro tip. Don't be lazy read more

I came in today because I needed waterproof rain gear last minute so I can finish my safety class and get my license this weekend. The staff is super accommodating, they educate you as you are looking for stuff and will even go out of their way to help you find the size and color you are looking for(important note for the ladies). I even found the helmet that will compliment my bike and I'll be back for it after I finish the course and my bike comes home from getting its new windshield and whitewall tires Thanks Guys! read more

The customer service experience here was excellent! I had two people offer to help me within 5 minutes. Jay was particularly helpful. He helped size my girlfriend for a helmet even though we didn't end up buying one. He was very helpful in sizing me for my jacket and suggesting a comms set up for my helmet. Cycle gear even offers to install comms for free which is nice. He was straight to the point and not pushy at all. I'll definitely be back. read more

Amazing place and manger! He was very helpful for a new rider like myself and had a wealth of knowledge and advise.

All I can say is I will hands down go to this location in Rancho Cordova from now on only. It's even further than the Sacramento location. But these guys are hands down honest a nice people and care more for the rider community and safety than making a profit. I spoke to the manager on the phone and got in touch with Miguel when I arrived at the location. They helped me out no questions asked. Miguel was awesome and easy to make conversation with. Felt welcomed and part of a new community . I am brand new to riding motorcycles. Barely breaking two weeks. Thank you to everyone at this location specifically. Thank you. read more

I purchased a set of tires from CG on line and wasn't having a lot of fun mounting them when I pinched a tube...That's when I called the Rancho Cordova store and Mgr Sean sold me he had tubes in stock (despite on-line inventory showing 0) and he had 3 folks on the floor and any of them could help me out. (2 o'clock on an 83 degree spring Saturday I figured I'd be looking at the next week) I shot out there, met Seann, a nice very respectful young man they call Mowgli (Miguel) gloved up and disappeared with my rims. Before I could get out of the parking lot to grab a cup of coffee Mogli left me a VM saying I was ready to go. Looks like I might get those new tires dirty today after all.. I had confirmed with Mogli that he'd give me the $25 per mount rate when I dropped 'em off, but when he checked me out he said "I just charged you $16 for the new tube". I shook his hand and thanked both him and Sean for the fabulous service. In todays world it's great to find a place like this that still looks after and appreciates their customers. Thanks Sean & Mogli ...I'll be back! read more

Cycle Gear - New rear tires on bikes so my daughter & I can go tear up Hangtown! - Motorcycle Gear Near Me - Rancho Cordova, California

Aside from being overpriced the customer service here is nor good especially in the tire department. My father paid 450 dollars for tires and buys warrantys on everything he owns. Unfortunately Victor did not offer him one that day and when we went down to see what he could do for us he basically called my father a liar and swore he offered him a warranty that day. I really am disappointed as I have sent tons of business their way unfortunately I will never shop there again as long as I live. IF YOU ARE BUYING TIRES SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR THE WARRANTY AS THEY WILL NOT NECESSARILY OFFER IT read more

I purchased a heated riding jacket over two years ago. Experiencing problems I took the jacket back expecting to purchase a new switch with a slight discount. I spoke to one of the employees there being as honest as I remembered as far as the date. I was told that they had been having problems with this jacket. To my surprise Without hesitation the entire jacket was warranted out. I am a business owner and was greatly impressed with the customer service, and even offered to pay a portion of the cost of the new updated jacket. I believe that I got the original jacket for around $50. The new jacket had a price tag of just under $200 WOW! Great customer service, I own a Harley Davidson and because of this great Customer service I WILL buy anything that I can at this cycle gear. I am due for a new helmet and I will purchase it at this cycle gear location. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE read more

I purchased a Bilt Bluetooth helmet from the Sacramento location several months ago before the Rancho store opened. No reflection on Cycle Gear that the speaker on the first helmet blew out. Returned it to the Sac location and they swapped it out. Less than a month later the speaker on the same side of the second helmet blew out. I decided to go to the Rancho location since they are right in my backyard and will be doing my cycle needs shopping there from now on. Jeremy the manager helped me out and once again with no hassle whatsoever swapped out the helmet. We also spoke about after market Bluetooth options but they were pretty pricey. I figured hopefully third time will be the charm on this helmet. The Rancho location is quite a bit smaller than Sac but they have a great selection of helmets and gear. So happy to have a cycle gear so close as I've shopped with them when I lived in the Bay Area. Customer service is stellar and they carry quality products. Welcome to the area! read more
