It would be hard to detect where the leak was located so Bob had me call a leak detection service and they narrowed down the location. Unfortunately, the leak was under the concrete and couldn't be accessed via an easier route which was his preferred method which he checked first. Bob's professional and you don't have to worry about price gouging. Oh, while he was out, I had him replace our pressure regulator as well. He's an independent contractor so you're not paying for a dispatcher, a company brick and mortar location, and other people up some business chain. He got back with me promptly with my inquiry as well as the repair but just remember that he's one person and is doing everything himself including getting the supplied needed for the job. I've seen some other reviews that complained about appointment times but I'd rather hire Bob and know that I'm going to get good service and pricing than wonder if I'm going to get a fair price.

Nothing seems to have changed with him..the ONLY thing he said was 'You left a very nasty Yelp review for me' and I don't think I want to work for you and then you rudely just hung up. Not only very immature but EXTREMELY Unprofessional. First of all Tim I was NOT GOING TO HIRE YOU...I asked you if you would have 5 minutes to loosen it. The pipes were formally under the slab, and now, we won't have any leaks there... Yay. This was a big job and Dependable was here for two weeks. My second floor unit wasn't directly impacted by the slab leak, but the pipes and everything are all connected for our four units. So after they were done working on Friday, I noticed that our toilets were acting funny and the water pressure seemed to be really high. The toilets also weren't filling properly, and they were making a lot of noise. So I contacted Dependable today, and Thomas came over to assist. He was very kind and professional, and he sorted out the issues. The toilets are both working correctly now, and I appreciate that this issue was resolved. Thank you, Thomas!

The HOA said they would be responsible for payment if the pipe serviced multiple condos. I showed the technician where the pipe elbowed over into the next unit so that he could see multiple units were serviced by that pipe However, upon completing the repair, he told the HOA that the pipe was only the upstairs neighbor, forcing that person to have to pay instead of the HOA. I believe, dependable plumbing does whatever they can to keep the HOA from being responsible. You're better off hiring and unbiased plumber if you think it's an HOA issue.

I had a poor experience with Dave of Day and Night Plumbing and cannot recommend him…read more After seeing nearly perfect ratings on Yelp, I reached out to Dave for help fixing two leaky shower faucets and replacing a kitchen faucet at my mom's house. Communication and execution of the job was poor. I don't live in the same city at my Mom and my Mom doesn't speak English that well so I was helping from a distance and through the phone. I asked Dave if he could call me with updates after he arrived at the house and he agreed. The reason I wanted to get an update was because Dave gave a broad range for an estimate over the phone since he needed to examine the faucets first to understand what needed to be done and what needed to be replace. I waited over 2 hours before calling him again and it turned out that he had already gone to buy parts without sharing an update or updated estimate with me. My sister arrived at my Mom's house while Dave was there and told me that Dave was very short with her and seemed very frustrated. Dave left without saying a word to either my sister or my Mom and my sister had to call him back into the house to understand why one of the faucets he repaired had a protruding spout. He replaced the kitchen sink as requested but didn't complete the job by caulking the faucet so there is now water leaking down into the cabinet below. My sister will have to return and caulk it herself. I spoke with Dave over the phone afterward to share feedback and he explained that he didn't call with an update because he had to go to the store with the parts to figure out replacements and cost. I think he could have still called before making the purchase to update me on estimated costs and time required for the job so I could let my Mom know so she could plan her day. He also said that he didn't speak with my sister because he didn't know who she was. I think that could have been solved by introducing himself and/or at least asking her if she could help inform my Mom of the status of the job. He explained to me why the spout of the faucet is now protruding which I appreciate, but my sister and mom were so confused and he just left. Appreciate that everything he worked on is functional now, but definitely not satisfied with the service.

We use it as a dish rack (token Asian family style). BB wanted to get a new dishwasher, since the old one had become nasty from not being able to run it. We also needed a high loop to be done, since we do not have an air gap. She also wanted to change out our white kitchen farmstyle sink for a black one, which would hopefully lessen her OCD. We would also change out the sink fixtures at the same time to gold ones. Our previous plumber gave us a quote which almost made me pass out from being so high, so I asked around and my close acquaintance referred me to Joe with Original Plumbing. I contacted him with my project, and he promptly got back to me with an itemized quote. The pricing was very fair for the scope of work. I contacted him again to schedule an appointment for the next week. Him and his employee showed up on time. They were respectful, courteous, and extremely competent. You can tell Joe is a master of the craft, and he let me know he has been a plumber for 20 years plus. It definitely shows in his work and the pride he takes in it! He completed everything and we couldn't be happier with the results. I already have another project lined up for my bathroom and will be using Joe exclusively from here on out. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs plumbing work done!

Frontdoor cancelled my appointment for installation and said they won't have availability for another two weeks. So I called Moen to get a listing of authorized plumbers and will request a reimbursement for the installation from Moen (thanks Frontdoor for not doing your job). Apparently I am better at booking appointments than they are. Maybe I should apply to work there? Although I am partially covered up to $300 by Moen for reimbursment, I had to go a little over to book Original Plumbing. In comparison, a competitor quoted $500 more for the same service. In all fairness, Joe had to do a little extra work to make sure that I would be compliant and not have issues with Moen in the future. That alone is a life saver giving me peace of mind. I already had to get a power outlet on the outside of the house installed for this supposedly *free* device (after purchase) that is costing me a fortune. But at least Joe and Original Plumbing helped keep my costs as low as possible and I should be in good standing with my home insurance coverage. Joe was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. I am happy that I chose him and it is nice to finally not have this nightmare project looming over me anymore since he completed it successfully.

Joe's helped us clean up a whole lot of plumbing issues over the past 7 years: the issues we inherited from our previous owners' failed DIYs. He takes the guesswork out of plumbing because he just does it right. The first time. He's a very pleasant person to work with! Here's a list of all the work (that I remember) he's done at our house: 1) replaced water pressure valve 2) installed bathroom vanities and new faucets.. and that got rid of weird sink smells. 3) fixed whistling toilets, rattling pipes in the walls, toilet that was doing a double flush, loose/damaged flush valves. 4) replaced new faucet for backyard hose. 5) finding and fixing old DIYs that are totally not up to code 6) installed new kitchen faucet, replaced all the pipes under the sink (that was done all wrong before). Adjusted the sink grinder and dishwasher hose so everything is kink free 7) replaced leaking shower head hose *Photos are current, 2026. All the stuff he's fixed and installed is still working great! We see him every time we have new projects :) Highly recommended for people who are not handy, don't have time to figure it out yourself, or just want it done right the first time.
