We received our initial quarterly residential pest treatment on Friday, 08-09-2019. First, I must comment on how professional, polite and friendly was our technician, Austin Hugueley. He has an extremely pleasant demeanor. He explained the entire process thoroughly and executed without issue. He was very knowledgeable about the products used and assured us that all the products were safe for our pet canine. Its nice to know that a pest control company utilizes products that are pet friendly. Austin was extremely accommodating as I had to reschedule our previously set appointment due to a conflict in times. Austin made arrangements to come to our residence on a Friday at 6:00 PM to perform the service. I was very impressed that he was so willing to change the time to early evening on a Friday to top it off. He did not leave our residence to shortly after 8:00 PM. That is what I call extreme customer service and employee dedication. I could tell that Austin takes pride in his work and was not merely performing a task. As far as the company, I was provided via email with a list of all products used in the treatment of our residence. This is a nice touch that is greatly appreciated. I have used another reputable local company in the past and did not receive this amount of information. Also, Clear Defense appears to utilize more pest barriers than their competitors. Austin flushed out cracks and crevices (brick house) in the exterior of our residence along with web/nest removal . My previous service provider did not offer this step. This company takes steps to ensure that nuisance insects/pests are eliminated from the perimeter of the residence. Competitors seem to offer spray services but not steps that go on and above spraying. Since I am locked into a contract for monthly mosquito spraying with a competitor for the remainder of the season, I will not have started a ,monthly mosquito spraying service with Clear Defense until Spring 2020 but based upon my experience this past Friday with Austin, I am looking forward to see how the compa.ny's mosquito spraying program performs and expect to embark on a long term relationship with Clear Defense as my pest control provider. I cancelled my services as I went w/ a company offering me the exact services and promises but for 1/4 less the price. I called and spoke to a supervisor last week and informed them I appreciated everything and that I'd follow up w/ them if I needed them in the future based on how great they were. I then get a call earlier this week that they need to charge me over over $100 dollars for services rendered. I paid monthly and paid after my last service but apparently, they claimed they did not get enough money for said service. I asked to be shown this so I could go thru it and instead, see an debit on my account from them. No call, no email other than the payment taken out. What the heck?!? I went from still considering them for business if needed in the future to now will be disputing said charge and will never use them again. Coupled w/ that, I will tell everyone I know how horrible they have ended our business relationship and how I was treated. He was here for a while and thoroughly went over everything and every place inside and out. He arrived 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time and was very courteous, professional and seemed happy that I was asking questions to help me help him ensure my home is pest free. I have used this company for over a year and have seen not a hint of pests inside. Also, my yard is ant and mosquito free plus my dogs love not having to worry about fleas and ticks either. 10/10 would recommend to all! read more

Eric is probably the best technician I have ever worked with. I have a triplex and we discovered that German roaches had infested all three of the townhouses and Eric not only explained in detail about the treatment that he was going to do, but he also managed to take care of the problem extremely quickly and efficiently. He knows exactly what he's doing and did an amazing job getting rid of these difficult roaches and a very short time. He not only took the time to explain in detail to me What he was planning on doing, and then updating me once everything was completed with each service, but he took the time to speak with each and every tenant to let them know everything as well. His work is Exceptional. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable and cares very much about getting the job done right and making sure the customer is.informed and fully taken care of. Clear Defense is a relatively new and small business. Don't let their "put together" appearance fool you! They are new! I would recommend their service as it is cost effective and works! Even more so, let's look at the return rate, not that you would need to call them out, but if you do, a real person (English speaking) will answer the line. They will be just miles away and will actually listen to your concerns! When you decide that this company is the one for you, do these next two things to ensure you have the best service and deal. 1. Ask for Joseph! He is sweet and kind. He entered our home respectfully and even was responsive to our pets!! He did an amazing job and best of all, he didn't know the answer to all my questions! This is key! Many companies will act as though they know it all so that we perceive them as knowledgeable. This is a new company and this employee admitted the one thing he didn't know and immediately sought the answer for us both. 2. Use my name as a referral- it give us both a discount! Who doesn't love great service even cheaper- right?!? All in all- this is a great new company who spends more funds on service than advertising, so if you are reading this- make them your next call and get rid of those pesky bugs! I had the pleasure of meeting the Clear Defense technician, Jonathan. I was visiting my mom who wasn't home at the time. I pulled up as Jonathan was de-webbing the front porch. He approached my car and greeted me. He asked if there were any areas both outside or inside that needed treatment or special attention. I told him since I was just visiting my mom I wasn't sure but I could call. He gave me some time to call and check with her. My mom said she wanted the baseboards inside the house sprayed for preventative maintenance. Jonathan was more than happy to do so. He was also extremely respectful about the process, stating he would feel most comfortable if someone was in the house with him. Jonathan also asked for permission before entering certain rooms and before going upstairs. He was super friendly, personable, and professional. He worked diligently and swiftly. Matt came around our neighborhood soliciting service and I quit listening after I heard "no-web guarantee" - I was sold. For the initial service, Austin H. came out and spent 2 1/2 hours treating the inside of the house and all of our many porches and decks. He wiped down all the webs and treated the outdoor areas with a powder (inside was a spray). We have two indoor cats and he told us everything was safe for pets, kids and plants. We are so amazed at the difference! After the initial indoor treatment, it's just exterior maintenance, unless we want/need something retreated inside. We use our ground floor deck and screened in porches constantly, so it was really annoying to always have a ridiculous amount of spider webs. It is absolutely incredible to have gone so long with none! I cannot recommend ClearDefense Pest Control highly enough. 5 stars and two thumbs up just doesn't do them justice! read more

So far I've had 2 services completed. The sales guy was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. Today the service guy Eric made sure he checked in with me before AND after the service. He didn't just leave like some companies do. Eric went over in detail what types of things he did around the property. Explained additional services available after mentioning things he noticed. Dustin did a great job today during my monthly pest control treatment. He did what was previously told would be impossible by other pest control services...like ridding my home of mice, stinkbugs, and mosquitoes. Before Clear Defense, Pest Control Companies told me, "Mam, the only way to rid your property of mosquitoes is to get your neighbors to hire us to spray his yard as well." Clear Defense Pest Control is the only choice for pest control. Todd is always super helpful and polite. They send me a remainder so I know they are coming and are always friendly!! Did I mention they don't break the bank. The price they charge is very reasonable and not as pricy as other places we priced for the same services. The services they provide are top notch. We have never had a issue with bugs and they make sure we don't. They are good about letting me know what I need to do in order to keep my pets safe. Clear Defense Pest (Columbia SC) came to perform a quarterly check. Eric the tech came to the door to alert me that he was here and about to begin his work. He asked us if we experienced any issues and we told him we saw a couple of different bugs in the Master Bath and Laundry room. He than asked if we would like him to apply insect spray in those areas and we said yes. He used an app on his phone to show us pictures of the different bugs to ensure we were talking about the right insects. He went about his work and returned to ring our door bell to inform us that he was done. We chatted a little while about things and assured us if we needed anything else to call the office. I showed him a black spider which I had 2 of since last time, he let me know that they were harmless. He actually did the screen-in-porch which had never been done from the inside before. Clear Defense's technicians are very thorough. On top of that, they are both friendly and knowledgeable in their field. Roshard Campbell completed my quarterly service and he too lives up to the Clear Defense standard of excellence. Roshard sprayed for bugs, removed spider webs, and disposed of a dead critter he found stuck in a glue trap in my garage. The technicians put down several glue traps at every service, and this time fortunately for me.... but not so fortunate for a mouse who found its way into the trap before having a chance to find entry into my house! During yesterday's service, I seen Eric and another person from Clear Defense Pest Control conducting an inspection while de-webbing the exterior of our home. My wife and I looked around the house and found no more webs in our area so they removed them all. The exterior of our home was then power-sprayed around the entire perimeter of our home including the patio area. It looked like Eric sprayed the interior of our garage. Excellent! It looked like he got all the spider webs from the garage also while changing out the old traps with fresh new ones. We appreciate the attention to detail when we receive our pest control service. He de-webbed both our front and back porches, as well as sprayed the inside of our home and the outside perimeters. Eric went the extra mile, in that he made sure to sweep all of our high windows outside, as well as to spray around all of the front and back porch windows, to alleviate some of the issues with spiders which we had been having. Colin Lowther just serviced our house from Clear Defense Pest Control in Columbia, SC. Also, we were having issues with pesky house gnats from all this humidity and recent rain storms. He also treated all the drains inside our home. He was very thorough on the outside of the home as well including garage, yard area, and screened in back porch. Been using this company for the past 5 years and will not use anyone else. They also back their products to if you see issues between quarterly services they will come back out and give a second treatment at no cost. Thats amazing. We have a ant problem. Fire ants in our back yard and mounding ants in the front yard. I informed Clear Defense they came out as soon as they could. The first Tech Eric put all my ant problems in the system and from there on, we get follow up phone calls to see how our ant problems are progressing. Yesterday the Tech Wyatt came out and did a great job as well as Eric had done before. I highly recommend CD. Not only are all of their Techs very polite and knowledgeable, they also are very thorough. I know the ants will take a while to get rid of, but with Clear Defense and the way they treat it should be a breeze. read more
