They weren't the most friendly initially- I actually felt kinda awkward coming into the shop, but once I talked with them, it was okay. They said they couldn't have it done that day (a Friday), but it would be done by Monday most likely. It was done on the following Monday, and it was under $5! We definitely thought it was gonna be $10-$20. When I went to pick it up, there was a much friendlier vibe than the initial visit the first time I went in. I asked if I had to wait and keep my car out of the rain or not go through the car wash while the sealant cured. However, they use a very top-quality sealant, and I was good to go. I paid my deductible and was on my way!! I dropped my car off that morning and within a couple of hours they called and told me my car was ready. First visit here was back in December 2022, someone smashed my glass around Christmas & this place was able to replace it within two days! There was still some glass left in the door, but I didn't mind all that much, just wanted it fixed. Receptionists are always beyond helpful & pleasant. Decent price, compared to Safelite. Had the glass repaired today, Steve drove out to me to replace, which I don't think they consistently offer, probably depends on staffing. Steve has such a heart of gold. Such a sweet guy, made sure to vacuum up every last bit of glass, even in the cup holders & air vents. (No more rattling when I shut the door lol.) They had contacted me earlier in the day to let me know about what time they would be here; then called again to let me know when they were on the way. They showed up as scheduled and proceeded to lay down tarp to protect my floor. They completed the job efficiently and left no mess. I am so pleased I can once again see out my picture window. I have had a delightful experience with the in-shop young lady as well. I will be a return customer if I ever need glass repair again. Oh, and by the way, Portsmouth Glass charged a very reasonable amount compared to another provider I had contacted who couldn't bother to come look at the window and do measurements, yet emailed a ridiculous cost for the job. We called around in Hampton, landed with Patrick's Glass, who didn't "have the time to come out and look." So, we took down what we knew to write, the broken part and brought it to the shop. The shop person had a part on his desk that looked very much like the part we needed but explained that they would need to come out to look at the issue. "We don't have the time to come out." He referred us to a handyman he knew; whom we called who did come out. Carter Britton, the person, came out and never followed up. We called him multiple times, either no answer or ignored. Now, a year plus later, the window issue is not resolved, and it is getting cold. We need this window to work, and it looks like we need it replaced. We will not entertain the idea of Patrick's Glass any longer for the disappointing experience with his business. We can't even get a ballpark figure for the repair or replacement, as it requires someone to inspect and do the work. We are still looking and again starting fresh. No recommendation for this business, we are not recommending the business and sure will never call them again.
