She said to come over and I tried showing her what I wanted and she didn't even look just said yep lay back. I haven't gotten my hair cut in 5 years. It's long, healthy and I don't put any heat in it. I told her this. I should've left knowing she didn't even see what I wanted to get cut. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I sat down and she shuffled the other girl she was working on to the sink while working on me. ALSO she put me in the same chair as the other girl she was working on. Super unsanitary. Literally just switched us. She pulled my hair so hard when she was brushing it and anyone who knows wet hair is delicate. She yanked and pulled so hard trying to brush it fast and I was in so much pain. Again benefit of the doubt. Then comes the cut. She blowdries and straightens my hair. I TOLD HER I haven't used heat on my hair in 5 years. My hair smelled burned after she was done. The burn smell lasted for hours after I left the salon I had to wash my hair at home just to get it out. Horrified I see the result. I asked for a cute bang and she gave me what I could've done at home and I'm not kidding it's trash. Honestly I had an amazing experience with the owner sometime last year who took the time to tell me to grow out my bangs a bit more so she can cut them just to come back and have Shauna give me the worst cut of my life. NEVER EVER COMING HERE AGAIN. Bad vibes. Trash cut. -1/10 would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Ever.

The lady who did my threading did a great job with the shaping and even convinced me to get my first eyebrow tint. The workers will constantly mention the different services they have. Constantly. Every 60 seconds, they will mention it. I thought agreeing to the extra tint service would make it stop, but then another lady came over and shoved their menu in my face and went into another speech about the services they offer. The color she chose for the tint was too dark for my blonde hair and caused alot of laughter and teasing from my husband. I went home and scrubbed off as much of the tint with clarifying shampoo as I could so it was tolerable. It would have been beautiful with just one shade lighter. The biggest issue was the wound that was left from the threading. I couldn't get a decent picture of it, but it was very clearly from her pinching my skin too tightly in the one spot with the thread. It doesn't look bad, but hurts terribly even several days later whenever I try to put on makeup or moisturizer. It was just a mistake honestly... Overall, this threading was much less painful than others I have gotten. I would like to come back and give them another chance. Maybe it was just an off day.

All the staff were very friendly and kind. I asked for coffee, and the receptionist went out to the hotel hospitality area to bring me coffee. Had I known, I wouldn't have troubled her so much! But she was totally cool with it. The massage therapists who worked on my wife and me were also very friendly and professional. My wife got us Swedish massages - very relaxing! The massage room is basically one of the hotel rooms but without the bed and instead with two massage tables. After our massages, my wife asked for a changing room so she was able to go back in afterward to freshen up. The only negative (not really the spa's fault) is that a large, very loud group passed by in the hallway while we were getting massaged. The therapists were apologetic about it so I don't really blame them at all. Prices are not bad. I imagine it's a little high for Buffalo, but the price in New York City for a comparable massage would be slightly higher, I think.

Its well lit and very clean inside. 2. Service is great. Ive never been turned down for a walk in appointment or had to wait excessively long. And im always offered a glass of wine or bottle of water. 3. The massage chairs are a cut above the rest. I would honestly pay just to sit in one for 30 minutes without getting my nails done! Ive never been to another salon with massage chairs this nice. 4. They always get the shape of acrylics right when i get them done. I had nearly given up on ever getting acrylics done again because other salons kept giving me terrible looking acrylics but ive always been happy with what i get here. That being said, i took 1 star away because prices here are higher than average. I personally feel that if im getting a pedicure or acrylics, the upcharge to come here is certainly worth it.
