It's a smaller day spa, with a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The waiting room is nice and bright, everyone is friendly, and Monica is definitely a professional who knows her trade. I first knew I liked her when they offered the bed warmer, and was sold when she spoke science to me. LOL! She really takes her time to get to know you, your skin, and your concerns. She educates you about what could be causing it, what the underlying issues might be, and how she can help and how you can help maintain the results and care for your skin at home. Before proceeding with the Silk Peel, she took care to explain how it worked on a superficial level AND molecularly, and brushed my arm with the device so I knew what to expect to feel before she began work on my face. I could see results IMMEDIATELY after, in both texture and firmness/hydration of my skin. The days following, I could see some acne wanting to erupt (which she warned me about) but I listened to her about not picking at anything and just let it do its thing. It all cleared up on a couple of days and the wounds from previous picking and some scarring is healed over and almost not even visible a week later.... I've had terrible experiences with painful facials, redness and breaking out after threading and getting burnt by waxing. After these experiences I am very picky about who I allow going near my delicate face. After years of not letting anyone touch my face Nas made me feel so comfortable and in control of the outcome of her services. She was extremely accommodating and allowed me to be very specific about how i wanted things, greatly easing my anxiety. The first time I went to Beauty by Nas I got threading of my eyebrows and upper lip. She is a marksman for eyebrows and was great about keeping my brows thick but shaped. I wish hairdressers would understand that my hair grows extremely fast, so they can cut as much hair off my head as they want, it will grow back. I don't know how to get it across to these hairdressers that I want my hair cut the I want it cut. I had to spend over $65 dollars to get the haircut that I wanted.
