Dr. Gelety works perfect for me because I am not someone that needs to be treated very gentle and fragile. I was going through an infertility journey that requires to be tough to push through! Dr. Gelety has NEVER been rude or disrespectful in any way. He is quick, thorough, and knows what he is doing. You can see his mind problem solving during appointments. I rather him focus on THE REASON WHY CAME IN rather than him focus on being extra sensitive and fragile with me - that's not what I came in for. They…read moreabandoned me as a patient after I spent 3500+ on meds and had the audacity to ask about taking vitamins and hormone tracking as I have irregular periods. Ghosted over an email with questions. The nurse was fake nice enough and the only time her facade cracked was when I would ask her questions she wasn't ready to answer or I'd ask questions over and over since they wouldn't answer or address my concerns. Her response was always the same and very rehearsed... I didn't have a problem with it until I realize she didn't have any real answers. Dr. Gelety was nice enough, answered all my questioned, didn't quite assuage my curiosity registering my weight or my irregular periods. Both he and the nurse just basically ignored and never acknowledged that I even asked or said anything about it. He did an ultrasound the first appointment which I thought was only a consult but no... they wanted to rush me thru the procedure. Offered very little guidance outside of meds and the scheduling to harvest. They weren't really concerned with my concerns just getting me thru the procedure. The nurse told me that it was annoying to have to help patients with their shots and that's when I started feeling uneasy. ... I have a traumatic past with needles as a kid so I asked a lot of questions. Her answers were unhelpful. She forgot to fake smile because this was probably the third time in a half hour period I asked about the shots. I don't like having to explain my traumas(and I didn't) but I needed to know the exact process and the side effects and yaddayadda. So anyway now I have wasted all the money on meds. And have terrible anxiety about going to other clinics and asking questions because it's hard enough to get any doctor to listen to me as it is... I gotta go and pretend like this traumatic nonsense never happened.

We felt strongly that we wanted to avoid other forms of birth control and plan our family in a responsible way while also being open to God's plan for our lives. We were intrigued by the introductory session that we attended on the Creighton Model, and went on to meet with Kimberly individually until we felt confident in using this method. Since then (for the past 6 years) we have faithfully and confidently used the Creighton model to successfully achieve pregnancy at the times that felt right for our family situation. We have one nearly 3 year old son and I am pregnant with our second child now. Even though we no longer live in Tucson, Kimberly still offers advice to me when I have questions about unusual cycles or need clarification. When I arrived at the Maternal-Fetal Medicine location on La Cholla, I was "greeted" by a most rude and unsavory reception staff, in particular the woman who handled taking my payment. I couldn't believe I was being dogged when all I did was walk in the door! This nasty woman told me that my out of pocket cost that day was $359.49 and I would need to pay it before the ultrasound. I pressed on and asked if she was sure that was what I owed and was firmly told yes and if I didn't pay it I would not be seen and of course I paid the $359.49. Two months later I received an EOB from my insurance provider and lo and behold my out of pocket for the testing was not $359.49 it was $111.00 proving the woman at the front desk was wrong and she was a creep and I wonder if she does this to all patients. Young ladies go in there with pregnancy complications, and gynecological health concerns and they're worried and scared and other woman may not have had the $359.49 available at that moment - what happens to those girls? Are they told that they can't be seen unless they pay their co-pay? I can stand up for myself and fortunately I had the funds to cover the purported co-pay but not everyone does! I contacted the Genesis billing office twice and received no response. Between the nasty receptionist and the lack of return calls from billing, I'm sad to think that the practice may be void of personal communication and attention to patient needs OTHER than medical.

My calls were answered or returned in a timely manner, as were my portal messages, and the front desk was always friendly and respectful. The phlebotomy techs have always been quick and friendly as well. Everyone in the office provided the quality of care that I would expect from a women's health setting.
