She saved my brother's life and our family/friends' lives in turn! (We wouldn't know what to do without my brother) While my friend and I were trying to help find a place for my brother, Debbie was trying to help even though we didn't think he had the correct insurance for Transformations Care. Debbie helped my friend for countless hours and eventually they were able to figure out insurance to get my brother to Transformations. The fact that she was helping my friend even though we didn't think we could get my brother to Transformations, truly shows that this place has the best of intentions. Debbie wants to help people in need get to the road to recovery! She made the road to recovery so much easier than it could have been. She made my brother feel welcome, normal, and loved. Debbie reassured me and my family consistently by sending us photos of her and my brother. Recovery is hard - Debbie made it easier for him and I am forever grateful. I HIGHLY recommend Transformations Care as a family member (I can't fully endorse it as a patient, but my brother has nothing but great things to say about the owners, Michelle in outpatient, and Debbie!) Thank you for saving my brothers life, I appreciate you!

Hello, My name is Jacqueline, and I was recently discharged…read morefrom Del Amo Hospital on July 4 at approximately 06:00. I was hospitalized for postpartum depression and placed on a 51/50 hold. Initially, I was terrified and didn't know what to expect. As a nursing mother, I had many concerns about being separated from my baby and maintaining my milk supply. Fortunately, many members of the staff helped make a very difficult experience more manageable. I would especially like to recognize Raymona, Shirley (with piercings), Jocelyn, Deborah, Diego and Ryan. They were kind, attentive, compassionate, and professional. They treated me with dignity and empathy during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. Other staff members were also kind, and I wish I remembered all of their names so I could acknowledge them as well. For the most part, the rooms and common areas were kept clean, and I felt that patients were generally treated with respect and listened to. Unfortunately, I also experienced a very frightening and traumatic interaction with Nurse Tatiana. On my first night at the hospital, she withheld my breast pump despite my repeatedly explaining that, as a breastfeeding mother, I needed to pump every three to four hours to avoid pain, engorgement, and potential complications. I first requested my breast pump around 19:30. but was not given access to it until approximately 23:00, despite making multiple requests and returning to the nurses' station several times. During that time, my left breast became severely engorged, I was leaking breast milk, and I was in significant physical pain and emotional distress. I cried in the hallway because I felt helpless. Rather than showing compassion, Nurse Tatiana approached me, stood only a few inches from my face, and repeatedly asked in an aggressive tone, "Why are you crying? What have I done to you?" Her demeanor was intimidating and made me feel frightened. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence, this interaction was especially triggering and left me feeling unsafe. Fortunately, three other staff members intervened on my behalf and insisted that I receive my breast pump. I am grateful for their advocacy. When I later asked Nurse Tatiana for her name, she refused to identify herself and was not wearing a name badge. After asking several times without receiving an answer, a kind Asian nurse with her hair in a bun provided me with Tatiana's name and explained how to file a grievance. I submitted a written grievance before my discharge. I respectfully ask that this incident be thoroughly reviewed. Please, look at the cameras and verify what I am telling you is true with other staff members. I believe Nurse Tatiana would benefit from additional training in trauma-informed care, compassionate communication, and the unique needs of postpartum and breastfeeding patients. Patients admitted to psychiatric facilities are among the most vulnerable members of our community, and they deserve to be treated with patience, dignity, and respect. Before becoming a stay-at-home mother, I worked for seven years as an immigration case manager serving vulnerable populations, including individuals with severe mental illness, substance use disorders, and those with extensive criminal histories. Regardless of a person's background or circumstances, I always believed every individual deserved to be treated with respect, professionalism, and compassion. That same standard should be upheld in a behavioral health setting. I also noticed that on my belongings inventory, Tatiana wrote the word "chonis" instead of "underwear." While this may seem minor, I found it unprofessional and inconsistent with the level of professionalism patients should expect. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. I appreciate the many staff members who cared for me with kindness, and I hope my experience can help improve the care provided to future patients, especially postpartum mothers who are already navigating an incredibly vulnerable time in their lives. Sincerely, Jacqueline

I spoke with my insurance and therapist to find a place that wasn't so AA heavy. They recommended Clear Treatment Center. It was an hour drive from my house but I was willing if it was the right place. When I emailed Clear a representative reached out quickly. I was really straight forward with what I wanted from a program and they were just a direct as me! I completed 3 months of PHP/IOP treatment for alcohol, that sounds like a long time but once you start doing the work it fly's quick. The center is welcoming, clean, and organized. After my first week it was getting tough! Jason, Christine, and Jamie helped me see all the reasons why not to quit! The staff is very understanding of everyone's situations and only want what's best for every client. The entire staff works well with each other and they all have their own strengths. Jason was my therapist. Trust me when I say I gave him a hell of a hard time at first. This guy never gave up on me and got me to figure out some things about myself I would have never done alone. Clemmy was my case manager and if your rough around the edges and need someone to help tell you straight but make you feel motivated after ever conversation that's my girl! Jamie heard me when I was needing to go back to work and needed to change my schedule. That's one of the most stressful things when you have to work and continue treatment but she always found a way to work with me and find a way! Thank you! Christine is really good at communicating and somehow gets you to understand how to vulnerable with yourself and trust. I still can't I trust people now. Thank I can't say enough about the staff and the vibe. Everyone is always ready to help and easy to talk to. The hardest thing is showing up and giving it 100% when your in a bad place. They make it easy to be yourself and work through what ever it is you need to work through. I met some really cool people and other clients going through something similar as myself im grateful to have met. I felt alone in this until I met people in the program. Ultimately I could go on and on about the center, staff, and curriculum. I owe this place more than a review. I got my life back and I feel better than ever. Thank you, Luis Enrique Mendoza

When Dr. Goldenberg takes a case, he engages in ongoing consultation with all treatment providers to ensure consistency, continuity of care, and overall highly effective treatment all around. He never assumes authority over any other provider, and engages with each as colleagues supporting each other's work for the best outcome for a client. As a colleague, he is an invaluable resource on every case he works on. All of my clients have reported very positive experiences and successful outcomes with their treatment with him. They often report he is highly respectful of their needs and wishes, never pressures any client to take medication or engage in an intervention, and offers multiple options and perspectives on how to achieve their goals. He is very kind and approachable, and clients report they trust him to work in their best interests and feel very safe in his care. Dr. Jae Jung has been an incredible doctor for me. He is extremely knowledgeable and cares about…read morehis patients. He focuses on conservative treatment methods such as physical therapy before just diving in and doing random medical procedures. I have been dealing with bulging discs in my lumbar for the last 7 years or so and my general practitioner has referred me to Dr. Jung. We started with physical therapy with minimal relief. Dr. Jung recommended we do bilateral injections in the impacted areas. These have helped provide some relief but not permanent. Unfortunately, COVID hit and it reduced treatment options for a period of time until he was able to start doing injections for me again. Unfortunately, we had to have a double laminectomy which was performed by Dr. Shamie (a colleague of Dr. Jung) and that surgery was very successful. I started getting similar symptoms after about 18 months or so and we had to have an MRI done. The MRI revealed the surgery was successful but scar tissue was growing in causing the new symptoms. Dr. Jung recommended another injection as surgery would not be logical as removing scar tissue will just create more scarring. These injection was not as successful as we hoped it would be, so Dr. Jung recommended another injection spinal cord stimulator which has worked wonders. I am very grateful to Dr. Jung and his fellows that he works closely with as he is constantly empathetic, kind, caring, and does everything he can to help with pain management without just giving a ton of pills. I highly recommend Dr. Jung as he will do everything possible to help you. I must mention the office staff are phenomenal and very helpful.
