We have 5 pets and a sometimes messy kid and every other carpet cleaning company always starts out around $100 and then tries to get me to spend over $300 because of pets, and "problem areas" which are just discoloration because I almost never use chemicals to clean up messes. I have a small hand-held cleaner that I use without adding the cleaning agent for bigger messes and just water and rags for little stuff. Then I call a carpet cleaning company every 4-6 months. This is how I've been taught to take care of pet messes. With other companies, when I refuse the upsell, the cleaning tech does an extremely poor job and leaves with the carpets not properly cleaned. Summit is usually about $150 depending on how many rooms I need cleaned, and they take their time to make sure it is done right. If there really is a need for an additional service, he will mention it, but if I refuse, he still tries his best to go over the area a few extra times and do the best job he can within the services I am paying for. To be honest, if I could leave a 4.5-star review here, I would. They definitely do a good job, better than anyone else I've used (and I've used a lot), but if your feeling get hurt, they may not be the right cleaners for you. He always lets me know what is wrong, what stinks, what needs to just be replaced, and what simply can't be cleaned. He is blunt. I appreciate the honesty, but some people may get offended.

I've never known a company not to move furniture. When he entered my house and saw furniture he could've said something at that point which he did not. Also, my husband offered to help him move anything and he still chose not to address the fact that he did not move furniture in order to clean a carpet appropriately. My husband walked him through each room and noted the closets. I also told him we had 3 closets in our initial phone conversation as he asked me how big each one was. He has cleaned enough carpets to know that each bedroom has a closet as required to be considered a bedroom. 3 bedrooms, 3 closets! He just did not clean the master bedroom closet. When my husband said something to him he said he was running late for his next job.
