For the longest time I was using the bigger guys with the big store front right down the street…read more Everything I hated about them is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT at Mower Medics. Over there they hardly ever answered the phone, here they always do. Over there you were made to feel like your business wasn't appreciated and you weren't even good enough to be considered just a number. Here you get polite personal service and they make you feel like you actualy count as a human being and customer. (Mower Medics actually have a pleaseant sense of humor and know how to smile and laugh.) Over there you are waited on people with attitudes and egos who are NEVER in a rush and NEVER respect your time (or lack there of). Mower Medics is a 180 degree complete opposite experience. You almost want something to break just so you can go back there and be treated by some happy, smiling, respectful faces. Over there it might take two weeks for them JUST to look at what you brought in, while they're somewhat selective on what they'll work on. The technician here is all knowing, works on anything and everything and in the two weeks it takes the big guys down the street to look at something, he's already called me, got my approval, ordered the parts, got it fixed and called me to come pick it up. Mower Medic is fantastic, seven and a half stars out of five on a scale from one to five. I only wish they were up in Lutz so I could get the same great service and travel less to get it. But they're safe to keep my business because they know how to fix things right the first time and treat me like I'm a respected human and not a piece of dog meat like the big people a couple of blocks down the street.

I was a resident here for two years and only moved because my roommate and I decided to get…read moreseparate apartments. We signed our lease when it was still Tapestry and were notified on our move-in day that we had to sign new paper for Brookview. Not too big a deal. In the two years we lived there, we only had one outdoor roach come inside. I also only ever saw one indoor roach. To be fair, we lived in a unit above a garage and walked up stairs to get to our apartment proper. This probably deterred bugs from coming in. Still, this is a miracle for Florida. Maintenance was always awesome. Our AC was out for three or four days over a major holiday, and the tech promptly identified the problem and installed a temporary AC unit. All other requests were fulfilled very quickly. The appliances and decor are modern, which made living there really nice. Track lighting in the kitchen, stainless steel appliances, full-size W/D in their own "room." The thermostat was also really easy to program, which is an overlooked convenience sometimes. The grounds are constantly being maintained. However, there are still some sideways trees left over from Hurricane Irma that I noticed were never addressed. Valet trash is not very reliable. Whenever they don't pick up your trash, you have to take it to the compactor yourself and complain to the office so they can call the trash service. It's not a great deal to pay $25 for valet trash when they come some of the time. There are some complaints on here about towing, which seem silly to me. If you don't live here, don't park in a resident spot and don't get towed. This is not unique to Brookview. In fact, residents had to raise a huge stink just to get a formal towing service started. After the towing was instated, parking was much easier to find for people who actually lived there. So I give a thumbs up for the tow trucks. The only thing that was annoying was when people with garages would take up parking spaces. I spoke with one of the towers, and he said management hadn't given them the okay to tow people with garage stickers yet. Maybe that has changed since then, because I didn't see it as much in the past year. When we decided to move out, the property manager, Phil, asked what he could do to make us stay. I thought he was being sincere, so I told him my budget, checked the website for availability, and even walked the complex to see where the open units were located. It did not take long for me to realize that Phil's email was perfunctory with little intent behind it. He was probably looking for an easy sell. But if you ask someone "what can I do," you should be prepared to put in a little effort. As a consequence, I've moved to a really nice apartment I like much more, and the price is $200 less per month! To summarize, my experience here was great. The gym has your workout staples but not really enough if you're truly into fitness (no squat racks, etc.). We didn't have many noise problems, no pest problems, and our interaction with management was minimal. If Phil had worked with me on price and been genuinely interested in keeping me as a resident, I likely would have stayed. However, things worked out great for me in the end! I think Brookview is a good option for people who don't like to be around a lot of the hustle and bustle of Tampa but enjoy the convenience of not being too far away from places of interest.
