Fair warning I can be long winded at times! We had a small…read more"flood" that stemmed from a frozen pipe (winter temperature down below 10 degrees F) from wall out to our washer. The water flowed under our washer down to the street (under our garage door). Plus through the wall on the other side/down the indoor flight of steps/down to the full daylight basement. Needless to say we needed: carpet/pad/drywall removed & area totally dried so No mold/mildew could grow. Once we new homeowners found out who/which kind of company to call, they were "Johnny on the spot" with their acknowledgment/scheduling/professional compassion! They came out the night of the day we called. They inspected/cleaned/dried areas affected by our small flood. Were very respectful of our family/pets while they worked. We would highly recommend this fine company for your catastrophe!

The company lied about offering financing, otherwise I would never have agreed to the work…read more "The work" they performed was minimal: cutting some drywall and discarding it, peeling up my floorboards, spraying a substance on the subfloor, and running a fan for nearly six weeks. The workers were only in the house three times for a grand total of about four hours. Crucially, when they left, the remediation work was NOT complete. Another company had to be brought in later to finish the job, which involved properly replacing rotted, moldy floorboards with new ones. That said, around week two--before the work had even progressed a quarter of the way--they sent a bill for nearly $7,000. The person I met with initially had quoted a price of under $2,000. For reference, the actual proper remediation work they failed to do only cost the second company about $450. In short, this company took a ton of money for almost no work and, despite their job being to remove it, left mold in my home.

He was on time, friendly & knowledgable. I've worked in customer service for over 40 years and Miguel knows how to give good customer service! He said he'd work me up an estimate. As a single woman, I am always leery about being taken advantage of, because some businesses have no shame. The estimate came. I had some questions, he came back...on time, just as friendly as the last time, but this time he had a co-worker in tow....Sylvester. I wish I got his last name, but what a guy! The most respectful & pleasant kid I have met in a very long time. (By "kid"...he was mid-20s) These guys were awesome. I can't speak toward the work or the finished product. I disagree with the negative ratings. First Choice immediately responded to a water leak at my…read morehouse on a holiday weekend. They did initial damage removal, set up dehumidifiers and dryers. The problem came with my insurance company and different claims adjusters assigned. The manager, Barry, and other people, Nick, Darrel and others were very great to work with. I lost my voicebox two years ago to cancer, they were wonderful and patient with my current method of communication, as was Kaitlin the office assistant. My problem was not with them, but my insurance company and that created delays in my repairs. Had I known that was the issue, I would have paid immediately and delt with the insurance company later. They know what they are doing and are very cordial and understanding to my lack of speech. I would recommend this company but also advise for them at the management level to keep you completely informed. Many companies are waiting on insurance claims to be approved, however, insurance companies never want to pay out, just collect money. They did have internal issues, but not with the technicians, workers, or administrative staff, I am confident that this has been resolved.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!!! Seth seems like a good enough guy, especially because he had a baby goat, but…read morewow does he have ZERO follow through. That includes the ability of his business to finish a job. After receiving an estimate that was waiting on an engineer approval, I had to follow up several times. He finally went ahead without the approval, but his guy was walking on the insulation (I went in the attic and verified this with my own eyes), and broke through my ceiling causing an 8 foot break down the hallway (December 2021). In repairing the damage that the employee caused he completely messed up the texture of the ceiling, the mud has bulges and valleys along the wall seam, and he missed entire strips of paint to the new ceiling. In May 2022, after Seth and his crew failed to show up or return my multiple calls, I received a bill in the mail. I had the work inspected within 2 weeks of receiving the bill by a local home inspector who found that the work in the attic was only 75% complete. I told Seth I would happily pay him if the work was completed at which point he stopped responding. In April 2023 Seth sent my bill to collections and I was assured by the office manager that all bills are reviewed by Seth personally before hitting collections. I then scheduled a meeting with Seth AND THE HOME INSPECTOR, to show him the unfinished job. The same employee came back to finish the work. He then STEPPED ON MY CEILING AGAIN!!!! I sat here and watched his leg hanging through the ceiling from the attic. The employee (with a bloody shin) put up a patch and texture the same day and said he would be back in a week to finish texture and paint, but nobody showed up or called. I reached out to Seth who had no idea his employee broke through my ceiling a second time. During all of these ceiling damages, multiple fractures started spidering across my ceiling. I complained to Seth multiple times but he refused to acknowledge that his employee was walking on my insulation causing this damage. In August 2023 Seth then sent me a bill with an additional $2632.50 to the bill for ceiling/drywall repairs "not at all part of the original scope of work". FOR DAMAGE HIS EMPLOYEE CAUSED. The office manager and Seth agreed to have Seth pick up the damaged piece to repair at his shop. After a few follow ups on my end I have never heard from or seen these people again. I hired Seth in late 2021. It is now April of 2024 and the damages are not fixed.
