Mr. Appliance of Oconee County Is awful! I was told one price and then another price by the…read moresupervisor. The supervisor Shannon then told me that the technician Eric were new to using their equipment and gave me the wrong quote! I asked to speak to someone else because that's not fair for her not to honor what her employee told me and she responded by saying she's the supervisor! I definitely got robbed of $129 and still have to find someone to fix my dryer because I would never use them or refer them to ANYONE! Bad company and BAD supervisor!! They are literally 0 stars ! Then the guy was complaining about how hard it was going to be to change my belt on the dryer when I done had a woman service it and didn't complain at all! Kind of looked like he didn't want to really deal with a big dryer in the first place! Whole company sucks!

TL;DR The people at Mr. Appliance are unreliable,…read moreincompetent to fix a machine, difficult to work with, and don't care about the customer. Do not use this company. If something goes wrong Mr. Appliance will blame the customer for their technician's mistakes and refuse to take responsibility for irreparable damage done--which is ironic as they are a repair company. Outline of events We have a 2016 Electrolux front-loading washing machine that was built and purchased in 2018. After 2.5 years the seal was beginning to leak so we called Electrolux and received Mr. Appliance as one of their recommended repair companies. Just before Thanksgiving we called Mr. Appliance to do two things for us: 1. Replace the seal (gave them the model number and serial number of the machine so they could order the part in advance.) 2. Swap the washer door hinge so that it opened from left-to right So far so good. Initial visit: The technician arrived but didn't make the repair, just wanted to inspect it first. Okay, nothing to inspect as we gave you all the details already, but okay. The technician then said that the door can't be swapped to the other hinge position. We pointed to the product manual sitting on top of the washer, open to the page showing how to change the door. "Oh. I didn't know that." Red flag. I should have questioned the service at this point. Second visit: The following week the technician missed the appointment window entirely--we had to call him to find out he was on a lengthy repair--rather than receive a courtesy call. These things happen. Rescheduled the repair again. Third visit: A few days later the technician arrived with the correct seal and casually blamed the leak on us for having a washer built in 2009--clearly it was too old and we should have replaced it sooner. Uh, no. The machine is under 3 years old with a label showing was built in 2018. Moving on. He then performs the installation and door swap. But the washer is now broken. By his own admission he forgot to unplug the washing machine before working and shorted out the motherboard. He told us that is was on him and we would not be charged. I appreciate the honesty! We are with out a washing machine--again. Another visit: A week goes by and the Mr. Appliance technician replaces the motherboard, turns it on, and leaves confident in his repair. The first wash was a dream, a nice and quiet cycle, I was really happy. However, the next day the wash was disastrous. It was VERY LOUD with severe vibrations. It shook so hard the that jug of laundry soap we keep on the washer had completely moved onto the dryer 3 feet away. This is crazy. Another red flag. Another call for repair. He came out two more times, and we mentioned it was the motherboard. He then looked at the motherboard and said "you are right." Need to order another part--yay. More visits: Again he came out and replaced the motherboard--it worked for a day or two and then died with error E91. Today, he came armed with two motherboards and neither fixed the issue. "It's something deep inside the system." Maybe the intense shaking broke something else? We called Mr. Appliance to get end the madness and have the machine replaced, but they refused. Instead they insist that it's not their problem and will waive the fees to call it even. How is this even? I had a working appliance and now I have a hunk of junk. They attempted to absolve themselves of blame with comments like: "electricity and water don't mix," "I can't confirm that it was working before we came out," "our technicians don't make mistakes like that," and then hit us with "it's not our fault that you didn't buy an Extended Warranty." Excuse me?! Let me break your blame game down: 1. You're right--the technician shouldn't have worked on the machine with it still plugged in, he could have been seriously injured. Also: a leak from the bottom of the seal isn't going to drip onto the electronics at the top of the machine. 2. From the beginning the repair order was only for the seal and door. Every incident after that was for the technician's initial error. 3. People make mistakes, that happens--own yours. 4. The washer was fine until we hired your company. Four weeks and counting: It's now a couple of days before Christmas, and a full month of dealing with Mr. Appliance. They're trying to make this go away by waiving the fees but that leaves us without a washing machine. Ordering a replacement may take eight weeks for delivery because there is an appliance shortage. Do not hire this Mr. Appliance. They will take your money, break your stuff, and claim it wasn't their fault. It's not worth using a company that does not care about you at all. Merry Christmas.
