Joe must be one of the last "good guys" because if there's a better electrician I haven't found one…read morein the 20 years that I've owned a home. Everyone know the story. You call 5 electricians, you get 5 voice mail boxes, you leave messages, you never hear back. Or you finally hear back from one and they act like they're doing you a favor by responding to you. They won't be available to come to your home for days, there are tons of fees, and you have to promise your next born child if they fix the issue. It must be nice to have a job where you have so much demand that don't return customer calls, you pick and choose your jobs, and treat customers like dirt! Here's how it went with Joe, the owner of The Electricians. It was winter and about 45 degrees. Our furnace stopped working. I called Joe around 5pm and he answered on the second ring. I told him about the problem. While on the phone he had me walk down to the furnace and he literally walked me through troubleshooting steps to see if it was a minor issue that he could help me fix over the phone. When we couldn't fix it he asked me if we would be okay overnight and he could come to our house the next morning. He said that he could come over immediately but it would cost extra and he'd rather not charge me extra if we were okay. I told him with blankets and the heat already captured in the home we would be fine until the next morning. In that explanation alone there are 3 ways that Joe proactively saved us money and didn't look for ways to gouge us. The next morning, Joe arrived at the time he committed to...he was actually early and waiting outside so he would be on time and ready to start. Joe was VERY personable. Just a really nice guy. He went to the basement, looked at the furnace, and determined the issue pretty quickly...a part went bad in the furnace. He started making calls to get a new part but had no luck because it was an older part. Once again, he thought about the customer. He gave me the make, model, year, and serial number of the part. He told me to do a Google search and to check on eBay for the part. In the meantime, he was going to check his sources. He left and didn't charge me anything. He said he would charge me when he came back to repair the furnace. I started looking for the part online and found it. I called him and he told me that the part was a really good price and to go ahead and order it. Again, he didn't find the part on his own and then mark it up and charge me for parts. He told me that when the part came in the call him and he would stop by and install it. The part took a few days to ship(luckily the weather warmed up). When I got it I called Joe and he came the next day right on time. Joe took the part from me, went in the basement, installed it in about 30-45min, tested everything, and it was all working. He charged me $50 to install it and $70 for his time over the two visits. When I made the first call I thought I would be paying $300, $400, $500 for the visit, the part, and the repair. Since then, I've had AC problems. Twice Joe came to our house, looked things over, fixed a few issues, and charged me a VERY reasonable price. BTW, Joe is also a really nice guy. He's fun to talk to and has a fantastic attitude. I don't like having HVAC issues but now I don't dread having to call an electrician. I can't stress enough how fantastic of a job Joe does. He's honest, he's fair, he answers the phone and responds to texts, he's on time, and he's an all around nice guy. If I could give him 6 stars I would. I highly recommend Joe if you have an HVAC problem!!

Their estimate was about 20 percent less than the first we got, and the third (Kite and Key) literally never called back with an estimate. They did an excellent job, especially considering that I explained everything I wanted to be done by phone or email. Our walls are plaster, and the area above the fireplace is plaster over brick. They were still able to work cleanly, and only made 3 very small 2-3" access holes total from fishing the wire for the outlets, and all the wall plates lined up flush with the wall. They were in and out in half a day. I would say to make sure you know what you want - they suggested wire mold twice in an abundance of caution about the access holes, which ended up being fine. Luckily my wife and site supervisor knew what we wanted for sure.

Ray and his assistant Kyle arrived ahead of schedule. I received calls from both the office and Ray relating to me that they were on their way and should arrive in 20 minutes. We have recently built a screened in porch on the back of our house and we needed wiring for outlets, a fan and a tv. We also needed spotlights put up on our house. Ray was quick to give us a firm cost on the job that was reasonable given the extensive work that needed to be done. After my acceptance, they quickly got to work. They were fastidious in their work and even threw out the empty tv box and fan box for us. Both Ray and Kyle were concerned that I was happy with the end product. We discussed the positioning of all the outlets and receptacles to make sure that they all were functional for what I needed and what I had envisioned. This necessitated several calls to my girlfriend to confirm what she wanted. Ray was very patient while I made the calls. When they left there was no trace they had been there other than the completed electrical work. They both were professional, efficient and friendly throughout the time they spent at our house. If you have any electrical needs, look no further. I highly recommend Haas and Sons. You won't be disappointed!

I bought it from a flipper and as far as I can tell they purposely did everything as incorrect, dangerous, and just plain wrong as possible. So when I discovered this, I knew it was going to be a challenge to find someone that was both knowledgeable enough and honest enough to fix all the problems in my house and Scott has exceeded all expectations! He shows up on time, figures out all the various, confusing problems of my house, fixes them, and even takes the time to explain to me what was wrong, why it was wrong, what the proper code was, and what he was going to do to fix it. He even cleans up after himself when he is done. For the work he does and the speed he does it I would say he is very fairly priced! Very happy with the work Scott has done and I feel so much better knowing my house is safer for my family and me.

I gave her a description of the work and my phone number. Glenn Miller, the owner, contacted me to request details of the job, so I sent him photos. I asked him for an estimate before the work was to start, so he came over personally to provide it. He had printed out all the photos I had sent and walked me through what made sense to repair, what made more sense to replace, and the estimated charges. Today, Tyree and Christina arrived when they said they would. Glenn stopped by later to check to see that everything was going smoothly. Tyree and Christina had replaced my deck "coach" light and a ceiling fan in my office. Glenn was able to troubleshoot with them to figure out the issue for my bathroom light/fan fixture. They fixed it without needing to replace the fixture. When Glenn was here, he told me he would subtract an hour off the total job because the bathroom fan situation had been confusing before he was able to figure it out. I didn't ask him to - he told me that's what he was doing. What a PLEASURE to work with a small business owner who cares about the job, his customers, and his technicians. I had an excellent experience with Glenn, Christina, and Tyree, and I wholeheartedly recommend Anytime Electrical Services where, "no job is too small." I could not be happier with my experience.

This company came highly recommended by members of the Greater Arbutus Business Association (GABA) who had worked with them during the May 2022 Arbutus Arts Festival. Their pricing was a little higher than some others, yet as we explored others, it was obvious Glenn Miller and his crew were very knowledgeable. Our house is older, built in the 40's, so you can imagine there was concern about adding this charging station. We scheduled installation and they were amazing. Arrival time was punctual and yes....issues were encountered with setting up the charge station ...yet it not stop the work. It took longer than expected when issues were encountered, yet solutions were found quickly and work was completed. Since then, many of our neighbors have stopped over to see the work since they are also expecting to buy an electric car soon. We are very pleased and are recommending them...even telling others the price may be higher than some competition, yet it will be well worth the little difference knowing they can take care of matters that may arise.
