I was told to get a smog check and that it needed to cost around $60, i tried looking for a smog station on yelp and i happen to see this one and everyone writing reviews stating how nice the man owning it is, i tried calling to ask for the price, but no one answered the phone so i drove there and when i arrived the man was sitting at his desk with no clients and i asked him good morning how much do you charge for a smog and he replied $85 i said oh ok thank you but i was told i need to find some where that does it around $60, thats when in a rude tome he replied Good luck finding one and I responded well i know there is one but its a little further and he responded well yeah they're not even going to be in business and just laughed in a condescending rude way. Now its his business how much he wants to charge i have no issue with that but no need to be rude. I just went and searched again and called and found a smog place on the corner on Fairfax and pico and he charged me $60 His comments were so uncalled for that im writing this so if you are planning on going to this place know the prices and don't give business to someone who apparently got out of the wrong side of bed this morning read more

There's just one guy who works here (at least when I went), Ebrahim, who is the most friendly and professional gentleman. I didn't make an appointment so I assumed there'd be a long wait. Instead, I pulled up, Ebrahim waved me in, and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. He offers you a seat at a table, and gives you a bottle of water while he gets to work on your vehicle. This is a small business and I fully support him. So long as I'm staying in this area and need a smog check, I'm going to keep coming back to Clean Cloud Smog! read more

Con man! I've gone to this place three times over the past six years because it's a block from where I live, but no more. The first time I went he quoted me one price, then charged me more. When I complained, he told me I should have mentioned the quoted price before he rang me up. Sorry, but I thought if someone tells you how much somethings costs, then that's what it costs. So this was shady, but again, a block from my house and I only go every other year. Last time no problem, but this time, right before I went, my car battery died erasing information from the car's computer. I needed to drive it longer so after he ran the test, I returned. He charged me for the second visit. My registration was due so I couldn't really argue, but it was absolutely criminal. (Oh, and he somehow assumed I would pay him cash the second time... when I didn't think I would have to pay at all!) Despite the convenience of him being so nearby, I'll never go again. read more

If you want fast, polite, competent service, look no further. Ebrahim is a hard-working, kind, and actually pretty hilarious person. They close at 5pm, I called him around 4:20pm, he said he could fit me in if I got in soon, I got there around 4:35 and was out by 4:55. He has a really interesting story. He looked at my car, guessed where I was from and was right! Turns out we both spent a lot of time in Michigan. I guess Michigan cars all look rusted on the bottom due to the salt on the roads. Stopped by today on my lunch break. It's in the gas station parking lot. There were 2 cars in front of me but I only had to wait about 10-15 minutes. Whole check was done in 10 or so minutes (I passed). Paid via credit card and was on my way. The guy running it was very kind and explained every part of the paperwork to me afterward. I don't think they print stickers on site but they are a STAR station. read more

After I questioned why it was so much, he said he could give me a discount- $75. By that point I knew he was a bullshitter. Left and found a place down La Cienega for $60. Hard for me to rate. My late 90's vehicle required a STAR facility and I passed after preparing for the test on the technician's advice. So that was good news. The downside is COST: I drove up and started testing prior to confirming the price. Prices are not posted and I paid $88.25 including the certificate. Paying with a credit card instead of cash would have added $4. I doubt smog checks have gone up that much in the past two years. My advice: Call first and confirm the price for your vehicle make and model. Confirm they'll retest for free if it doesn't pass. Upon arrival, get the paperwork done which states that price and policy before proceeding. read more
