My breast implants were put in by another doctor years prior and I just didn't like them anymore - they were too large for my frame, one bottomed out, and exercising and finding cute clothes became difficult. After extensive research I decided to see Dr. Stark for a consultation. He immediately made me feel better by listening to my concerns, offering various surgical options, and setting realistic expectations. Excellent bedside manner too - on surgery day, he came to see me before going into the OR and then called to check in later that night (my original surgeon did not do that). Recovery was a breeze and I could not be happier with the outcome! The entire process from scheduling to after care was pleasant. His staff is very friendly and caring. Dr. Stark is incredibly talented and offers natural, beautiful results. Highly recommend!

I went with my wife for a consultation for surgery and we were not impressed…read more We had already been for a consult at a different doctor who is very highly regarded. That doctor took measurements and photos, did an extremely thorough examination, discussed in depth the surgery itself and what techniques would be used depending on findings, etc. He asked many questions to understand what my wife wanted and was very clear that recovery could take weeks. At Main Line the doctor took no measurements, did a cursory examination, and barely talked compared to our first consult. The before and after photos of past surgeries did not impress my wife. The consult felt rushed and impersonal. Then when left with the assistant to discuss costs, we were given different information on recovery than the doctor told us (bearing in mind that his recovery estimate seemed optimistic already). Suddenly, recovery time was as little as 2 days - which seems to be completely contrary to readily available information let alone logic. It seemed to me that the staff is trying hard to sell you and will talk in circles to do so. A breast reduction is not minor surgery, and to be told that my wife should be fine to wrangle our rambunctious 4 year old on her own by day 3 seemed incredibly irresponsible. She the followed up with nonsense about what type of vacation we can take the soonest after surgery (not a concern we raised) and 5 minutes needlessly rehashing that the cost is different depending on which surgery center we used. That they seemed so disinterested in providing details on the actual surgery and recovery, yet spent so much effort on relative nonsense, only served to further put us off. The cost was as expected. The sales tactics were not, and in my opinion it is quite a danger sign if an office tries to sell you on surgery likes it's a time share. And while this is subjective, the assistant in in our opinion needs to step away from the filler - the subjective judgment of beauty applied there was not what my wife was looking for with her surgery. This was consult 2 of 3 in my wife's search for the right surgeon. They can't all be winners ;)

I did so and mentioned what a previous oculoplastic surgeon recommended after surgery with him. I then received a very rude email stating that my eyes were shaped "extremely different" (duh, I know that, that's why I'm seeking help), and that the surgery wouldn't be helpful. No suggestions for an in person consultation. If I look so "extremely" uneven, wouldn't you at least want to try to help me? Photos are limited for evaluation. Also, I just mentioned what one doctor suggested years ago. Obviously I don't believe that what was mentioned then is still what I need. I just finished medical school and honestly, I'm still so peeved and hurt by this unprofessional encounter I felt the need to write. Having a congenital eye disorder results in a lot of insecurities, and having a sensitive bedside manner is really important when helping potential patients. I felt awful about myself after this encounter and stopped seeking help for some time...I just hope whoever wrote that email has learned to be more sensitive towards vulnerable patients. PS I lived 10 min from the office at the time I asked about a consultation.

As background, I was considering a lower face lift and decided to talk with a few doctors about whether it made sense for me and what their recommended approach would be. Dr. Lohner made this decision easy. He was everything I was looking for in a doc - great listener, professional, interactive, vast experience - just to name a few important qualifications. And his gentle mannerism was just icing on the cake! So I scheduled to proceed with the surgery to take place on March 4. At the front end it's important to mention the ease of dealing with his staff during procedural set-up - they were very supportive and never tired of questions from me about the process. This was important to me because with my decision to take a step like this came a case of the jitters. The staff clearly understood this and did everything they could to manage my expectations and to make me feel at ease. I'm now on the other end of the surgery. My experience at the hospital (Bryn Mawr) was professional and streamlined which kept my stress to a minimum as I awaited the actual surgery. Dr. Lohner was available pre-surgery to answer last minute questions and to go over the game plan we had discussed in his office. The outcome. I could not be happier with the result - already. Different techniques he employed helped to keep swelling and bruising to a minimum. I can already see that he executed the exact plan we discussed with sensitivity to the importance of not looking "done". I could not be more pleased with the results and look forward to a continued smooth recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Lohner and would without question return to him for any future cosmetic surgery needs. DS

I just submitted a review for Dr. Sandler on vitals.com…read more(http://www.vitals.com/doctors/Dr_Susan_Sandler.html), but wanted to make sure the review was also on Yelp. The short version: Dr. Sandler is THE BEST! The long version: I had not had a regular doctor for several years. I came to see Dr. Sandler in 2005 due to some odd symptoms I had been experiencing for a number of months. Although it was unusual for her since she had just met me, she suggested I have an MRI based on a physical and our conversation about my symptoms. An MRI?! I thought that was ridiculous, but humored her, anyway. The following week, the MRI results came back indicating "possible multiple sclerosis". While I would prefer not to have this disease, I am eternally grateful to Dr. Sandler for using her (significant) intelligence, medical knowledge and medical intuition to arrive at that diagnosis. Many people go untreated for years without treatment since MS symptoms can resemble other health. I was a patient of Dr. Sandler's for the next 2 - 3 years until moving to LA. My wife and I have been debating whether or not to move back to PA in the future. While I prefer the weather in LA, I told her that being able to be have Dr. Sandler as a physician, again, would be a big plus if we ever moved back.
