I was stranded by the car service that was to pick me up from my Doctor's office.

A Casa - Patio area for the ceremony (there was an alternate plan for an indoor ceremony if it rained)

I will start by saying, I've never written a negative review. We read a lot of reviews before we…read morebegan to plan our daughters wedding, therefore I don't think it's fair that I NOT write one. We started the process with a young lady , who was wonderful btw, assured us that they were used to Spring weddings and explained how the set up would be for inclement weather. We met with her to secure the timeline, etc.. She assured us that they were professionals and did not need to secure a "day of" wedding person. This was a very intimate wedding with less than 50 total and without a bridal party. Therefore we took her word on this statement. This was September of 2024. Two months before the wedding, May 2025, our point person was longer employed at a.Casa. They required us to come in and have yet another meeting to go over all the details that was already planned out with the other person, timeline etc.. The wedding ceremony was to take place outside and the reception was planned for in and out. About 3 hours before the ceremony was to take place I called let them know that we wanted to move it inside completely because it had already started to sprinkle and was forecasted to continue raining the rest of the day. I was told by the woman in charge, and there were two ladies from the venue present, that tables could not be moved. I was told the bride would have to walk between the tables that was set up for the reception. I offered to send several men from our family to come and help move things around if they needed help. She refused to budge and said again that they could not be moved, and our daughter would have to walk between the tables as an isle. The officiator went to the venue and offered to help move things around. The lady argued with him and said it could not happen. This went on for close to a half hour, she finally threw her hands up and told him to do whatever he wanted to do. WHICH was to merely make a seating area so that the bride could walk down an isle and not between the reception tables with people sitting at them. The officiator and one of my sons in law made room for guest seating and immediately after the ceremony they both moved everything back for the reception. It took at the most 10 min to move things back into place for the reception. Their refusal to make an isle with guest seating was very unprofessional. Arguing with the officator was very unprofessional. As we were taking photos, directly after the ceremony, I realized that all of our flowers that were to be given to mothers, fathers, officiator and ring bearer were never given out. I will end it here and just say that IF you choose to use this venue, make sure that you have hire a Day-of coordinator. You WILL need it.

I chose a.casa as a venue for my sister's baby shower and everything turned out amazing. The venue itself is beautiful inside and out... we barely needed any decorations. They made sure to have lots of non-alcoholic options available at the bar which everyone loved (especially mom-to-be).. not just one beverage, but they had NA wine, champagne, and beer available (and great alcohol options as well of course). The place is also totally ADA accessible... not just compliant but actually accessible, which I love to see. I would 100% recommend a.casa to anyone looking to host a party, large or small

The issue with the hotel is the location, it sucks!!! Do not get sucked into the fact that it's by the arch like we did. This neighborhood (downtown) is totally unsafe. On the first day here we decided to go out for a stroll in downtown looking to check out a cool bar. BIG mistake. First off, almost all the shops and restaurants/bars are closed, even the one that had multiple signs on the streets saying they were open. FYI, this was a Sunday afternoon and there was a Cardinals game going on. This should have been a sign. Then still on the hunt for somewhere to hang we saw a drug deal and several suspicious looking individuals. I felt like I would be lucky if I wasn't robbed. Then we went to the recommended (per google search) "grocery store". It was a gas station less than a quarter mile from a large homeless encampment. Please look for somewhere outside of downtown, you'll regret staying here.

The location is very good for a city stay. You are right next to the Gateway Arch and easy walking distance to Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village. There is a nice lobby with a classy-looking bar that we didn't visit this stay. It smelled strongly like marijuana in lobby and hallways (not sure if this was because of the holiday or if it's always like this). They have self parking with in-and-out privileges for $42 per day with tax (using your room key). It was under the hotel and was pretty crowded. The pet fee was $100 per night ($117.94 per night with tax). The website said that the pet fee would include a food and water bowl that we could keep. When we arrived, there were no pet bowls. We asked at guest services and they said they didn't have any bowls and had never heard of that. Our room was an upgrade (15th floor with an Arch view). Our window did overlook the Arch, but also the highway that goes right past it (along with the noise from the highway). Also, we could not completely close out light at window edge so once the sun rose, there was bright line of light that woke me up. The room was small, had a king bed and one chair with an ottoman. It was clean. There was a nice large flat screen tv with good options for watching on-demand or cable/movies. There were lots of USB ports and plugs at bed sides for charging phones and our CPAP machine. Nice clean bathroom and shower with toiletries. There was a coffee machine with pods and a mini fridge. Unfortunately, I would not consider staying here again, as it was the worst mattress I have slept on at any Hyatt (or other hotel) that I can remember staying at. We had to keep shifting from side to side all night long because our pressure points (hips/back/shoulders) hurt so badly. There is no way I could have stayed here another night on that mattress.
