Helpful tip: If you are parking in the boat parking area. Please don't park in the middle. They will ticket you. The middle is for people that have boats. The ticket guy will come by and give you a ticket. I've seen it happen plenty of times. There's not a big sign that say it but there is a sign on the far left.

The beach is a quick 5-8 minute walk from the campground, depending on where your spot is. And there's also plenty of hiking paths around the peninsula! I think we clocked in at 1.5 miles, but it's kind of steep in parts. My favorite part about the campsite was the tree cover. There was always shade throughout the day, which kept the temp cooler. It also lightly rained for several hours Saturday afternoon and then again over night, but with all the trees our picnic table stayed mostly dry and our tent didn't get too soaked! I was here recently for a baby shower, and it was the perfect location for the event! Our summer weather has been sort of wonky, so having all of the covered space was nice just in case the event that it wanted to start raining or sprinkling. The bathrooms are very clean - just be warned, the toilet seats are ICE COLD. It's made up by the fact that the hot water in the sink actually works and heats up super fast. Plenty of space for outdoor games, there's a little trail you can walk, and there's a small creek running by the parking lot too. Cute little park to host an event!
