I am compelled to write this review to share my utterly disappointing experience with Editor and Publisher Tamara Steiner of The Clayton Pioneer. I approached this newspaper with high hopes and trust, seeking a positive story about my film, "The Envelope," which was not only filmed in Concord, CA, but also contributed significantly to the local community.
We invested over $5,000 into Concord's community during the production and even employed a local resident, expecting at least a mention or a story in the local press. However, what followed was nothing short of deceit and disregard.
Tamara Steiner told me she would highlight our community involvement and the local filming. However, after numerous follow-ups, and even a call with Tamara confirming a story would be written my follow up emails are now met with silence. This was not just a simple oversight but felt like a deliberate act to block our story from being published.
The experience left me questioning the integrity of The Clayton Pioneer's editorial decisions. Could it be racism? It's hard not to wonder when a project that brings positive light and economic benefit to a community is completely snubbed by the local press.
I urge anyone considering working with The Clayton Pioneer to think twice about their commitment to truth and community support. My experience has been one of broken promises and unprofessional conduct. If you're looking for genuine support for community projects, look elsewhere. read more
