Recently moved to the area and was looking for a great hair stylist who could dial in my blond highlights and work with my gray. Claudette was just the person I needed. She is very experienced and I love that she painted in the blonde to give it the perfect dimension. Thank you Claudette for me perfect color and cut. read more

Claudia is amazing. I'm brunette with some natural silver growing out. I wanted more to blend in and add some more silver. The finished look is wonderful not to mention the cut. I will continue to see her for maintenance. read more

Claudette is the best! I've been seeing her for a couple years now, and I'm so glad I found her. I always know my hair is in great hands, she uses quality products I love (K18 and Kevin Murphy) and my hair always looks amazing. I've gone red, and then blonde, and I've loved both! She's great with blending color and giving me a dimensional balayage. My hair has never looked better, or felt healthier. read more

I wanted a PROFESSIONAL hair colorist. Some one that was actually schooled on hair color. Not a learn as you go. Claudette is that person. She takes her job seriously and is well educated. Claudette took a lot of time to discuss what I wanted. Discussed different options and what was the best for me. Coming from NYC, where the top colorists are educated, not just get licensed....she was the right person. My hair color is EXACTLY what I wanted, and perfect for my skin color. With hair color....go for a pro, and pay the price...for a perfect color!!! read more

Claudette is amazing! No one compares to her talent and knowledge. She is a master color specialist and it shows! I usually get a blonde balayage with lowlights. It's great because it looks very soft and natural and my hair grows out gracefully. Claudette also does my custom blend foundation and powder. So my makeup matches my skin tone perfectly and always looks spot on. I love it and highly recommend Claudette for all your hair and makeup needs! read more

My color correction Khaleesi! I originally found My way to Claudette's chair after paying another stylist in town to change my naturally light hair that I had been box dying black for ten years to a dark brown. The other stylist bleached (i.e. fried) my hair and then covered it with a splotchy, uneven brown. I returned to this other stylist for my next appointment and she accidentally used black on me instead of the brown she spent so much time creating the previous appointment. So, after a large financial investment I was back to black with frizz fried hair and a chip on my shoulder. This is when I found my way to Claudette's chair. I first visited her for a cut and consult to see if she could do anything to fix my mess of a mop. She was blunt (excuse the hair pun, I'm a monster) about the fact that fixing my hair's color and condition would take time but she described a detailed plan of action that instilled in me the confidence in her skills to set up a color correction appointment and submit my straw-like hair to yet another chemical beating at the hand's of a completely new stylist. I made my appointment for a four-hour color correcting session and Claudette sent me off with a handful of conditioning treatments to use in the meantime. The color correcting appointment was long but the results were far better than I expected. Claudette used a stripping agent instead of bleach and took the extra time to apply bonding treatment after bonding treatment during the appointment to salvage what she could of my hair's integrity. The end result of the first appointment was brown hair that was a bit frizzy but brown and most importantly, intact. Had I gone to another stylist who didn't use Claudette's skill much of my hair would have likely broken off from the additional damage. Three years later I am still hooked on Claudette's skill and talent and even hooked my mother who flies in from Alaska under the guise of visiting me but with the true target of getting in to see Claudette. My hair is the best it's ever looked and I look forward to each appointment with Claudette who is warm and smart and always a delight to spend a couple of hours chatting with. As a bonus she always has the cutest hair herself and is more than happy to oblige when I inevitably state "I think I want your bangs." She's the best! Do yourself a favor and give her a visit. read more

Claudette Markovic Hair - Perfect brunette bob compliments of Claudette - Hair Stylists Near Me - Draper, Utah

I've been having Claudette do my hair over the last year and I have never made a better beauty decision in my life. Before meeting Claudette, I've never had my hair professionally done and she made the experience so comfortable and warm - which is why I come back a year and a half later. Her eye and attention for detail is honestly unparalleled, and I will never trust anyone else with my cut and color. As soon as you sit in her chair she looks at you and you know you're going to be take care of. She's flexible, understanding and so incredibly talented. I had quite the disaster of a dye job when I first fell into her chair and she corrected it with ease. It's truly amazing to see her work and to witness the outcome for yourself. She makes you feel both beautiful and authentic, and I am so impressed by her commitment to her clients and her art form. read more

I did my research when I decided to move from foils to balayage and Claudette's work stood out. It wasn't until Covid-19's shelter in place, causing me to work from home, that I realized just how amazing her color work is. Like many women these days, I am pulling up my hair and sitting in front of a Zoom camera. My hair looks amazing! The colors are natural and rich. I look done even though I far from it. In terms of the cut, I have had a handful of cuts in my life that WERE THE HAIRSTYLE. The cut created the shape and style to such an extent that I don't need to do a lot for my hair to look good. This is talent. Oh, and she is lovely. read more

Claudette is the best balayage and colorist in the Pacific Northwest. If you're looking for an amazing stylist, colorist and makeup artist you have found her! She's also super sweet, knowledgeable about color and explains what and why she makes certain choices. Claudette Markovic Hair - Love my Balayage! - Hair Stylists Near Me - Draper, Utah

I take my hair VERY seriously. The color is hugely important - getting the perfect cool violet or soft rose is an ART and therefore I need a stylist who understands that. Claudette does. I found her through Yelp originally, and her previous salon was kind enough to give me her phone number. She gets the color I want and spends every session learning more about my hair and how it reacts to the color she mixes. I've only been going to her for 2 months and she's given me this amazing dusty rose that I get tons of complements on. On top of that, she gives a great cut. Usually I keep my color and cut stylists separate, but Claudette really delivers on both. Plus she's just super interesting and insightful, so I actually want to talk while getting my hair done - a legitimate first for me. Very happy with her work and highly recommend! read more

When I first went to Claudette I wasn't exactly sure what kind of a cut I wanted but I knew I needed a change. I booked her for a cut as well as colour. I felt pretty confident after reading her reviews and looking at her Instagram that she would be able to help me. I wasn't disappointed, she helped me figure out a cut that would suit my face shape and the colour was incredible!! (I highly recommend a Balayage) Not only is she a skilled Stylist & colour specialist, she is an excellent educator on how to take care of your hair. My hairstyle grows out beautifully (I've had some cuts from others that seem to be so short lived) Claudette is a true Master Stylist who shines brightly. She is a lovely person who truly cares about others. read more

Claudette was very kind, however I was not satisfied with my hair. I came in with two inches of roots and left with that area being splotchy orange. My scalp also suffered from a burn. I've experienced slight irritation but never scabbing and an actual burn from bleaching. Claudette did offer to wait a week and fix it however I was too nervous to have my hair done by the same person who messed it up and will have to wait several weeks and spend money much more money for a color correction in order to have it fixed by anyone else. read more

She's a blonde balayage goddess! It's true! I seriously look 10 years younger and totally sun-kissed. After a year of swearing off hair color, because I thought it'd help my curls become more moisturized, I met Claudette. She listened to what I wanted (and didn't want!) and showed me some pics from her own library as we talked through concepts, what shade of blonde to go for, and where around my face. The time in her chair flew by and I'm so excited about how my hair turned out. The tones she achieved in my hair quieted the redness in my skin tone and left me looking so angelic. Her technique and tonal sense is what I've been missing everywhere else I've ever gone. read more

I am generally a very low maintenance gal, with one big exception and that is who is allowed to touch my hair. After moving to Portland several years ago, I went to many salons to find *the one*. When I finally met Claudette, I knew I'd found her. She is a true artist with color, expert with cuts, and knows how to achieve that look you pinned in a way that works for you. She is fastidious in her work and it's clear she has extremely high standards for her work and always makes sure I love what she's done. Fantastic balayage! Been going to Claudette for a few years now and fantastic every time!!

Claudette has been my stylish for 15 years. She is warm, creative, & honest about what does and does not look best:) I've had several colors and styles and I keep coming back. Claudette is so talented with color that people thought I was a natural red head until she changed up my color again. Looking forward to many more years! read more

I've been seeing Claudette for nearly a year now. This is a HUGE step for me as I have been very non-committal concerning my relationships with stylists. It has been my nature to be very spastic and urgent in my hair decisions. This has all changed with Claudette. I made the rather huge decision to grow out the dye in my hair and to let my natural gray streaks shine and knew I would need some serious support and expertise. A friend of mine who drives all the way from Seattle to get her color done by Claudette recommended her. I have never looked back. Claudette has helped me effortlessly grow out my gray while somehow looking quite stylish! I get asked all the time who my hair stylist is. She listens closely to what I want and is meticulous with her sculpting. I get a wonderful choppy asymmetrical cut that always feels fun. I love talking with her and think she is just a wonderful person on top of being a truly gifted artist of hair. I whole heartedly recommend her! read more

Claudette is so ridiculously talented! I came to her with a bad dye job from an expensive salon. I won't name them, because that stylist is a nice person, but I was dying. I have very dark hair and I was hoping to go lighter to make my grays less obvious between treatments. The blonde was just all kinds of wrong. Claudette was not only able to correct the issues but she gave me a killer cut and the color is just amazing. I had been avoiding my own reflection and now I can't stop looking! I waited two months to get into Claudette and it was 100% worth the wait! This folks, is what happens when you do your research. Claudette has an impressive pedigree but she really backs it up with technical skill, but what really sets her apart is her artistic eye. I knew I wanted to be lighter, but I didn't want to look ridiculous, and she came up with the perfect combination of treatments. I will be be a client for life! Thank you so much! read more

Claudette is truly a miracle worker! I had a hair disaster the first time I saw her. The stylist I had seen before had given me orange brassy highlights and totally fried my hair. I was devastated and didn't know what to do. Luckily, I saw Claudette's hair photos on social media and sought her out. My hair looked like a total different head when she finished with me. It was a soft natural blonde and after a cut and conditioning treatment, it looked and felt amazing. It's been a few years now since she saved me and my hair has never looked better. I get compliments all the time. She does the most beautiful balayage highlights that look so natural and grow out really nicely. I can go several months between visits, which is great for my busy schedule. I highly recommend her and would never let anyone else touch my hair! read more

Claudette Markovic is the stylist we've all been searching for. She is artful, experienced, creative and just all around super cool! I have never loved my hair as much as I do since I've been going to Claudette. She was able to give me the exact color I wanted. Her Balayage is flawless and the cut compliments my features perfectly. She listens and then gives you what you asked for but even better. She is truly the full package and more. Without reservation I can recommend Claudette as a stylist you can not just trust with your hair but can depend on her to elevate your cut and color game. Beyond pleased! read more

Claudette pays attention to the little details, and goes out of her way to make her clients happy and bring them to their personal hair goals. Claudette has masterfully guided my hair journey from my first post-chemo haircut to my current style. We waited a year before we started playing with color and I have never had so much fun with my hair- she is a true artist. I have never had more compliments and anyone I have sent her way feels the same. Claudette is the only stylist I have ever been able to trust enough to sit down in the chair and say, "do whatever you think," and I have never been disappointed. In fact, her haircuts are so good, mine weathered the 3+ pandemic months well- my roots were the only sign I hadn't been keeping my usual every 6 weeks appointment. So glad she found a spot outside Multnomah County to reopen. THANK YOU CLAUDETTE! read more

Claudette is an artist. She has a way of cutting and coloring hair that complements your face shape and skin tone. Growing up, I was very blonde. But after living in Oregon for twenty-plus years, my natural hair color has darkened. I'm always so happy with how Claudette highlights my hair - everything from bright blonde to a more natural blonde with low lights over the years. In addition to her expert coloring, Claudette gives the BEST haircuts. Both my husband and I have her cut our hair. Last summer she gave me a short cut I loved - it was easy and cute and perfect for being on vacation. Plus, I got tons of compliments. I've been growing it out to a short bob and I've loved every phase. I've never had a time between appointments where my hair is bugging me - her cuts grow out so well. She's worked with me so it looks good if I wear it wavy and tousled or straight and polished with a flat-iron. And if that isn't enough, Claudette is a really good listener - and not just about your hair! read more

Claudette has been doing my hair since I first moved to Portland back in 2014. Aside from making my hair look amazing every. single. time. I see her, she has been a constant source of support and encouragement in my life--admittedly, far more than I ever expected from a hair stylist! :P When we first met, I was long and blonde and just starting to embark on an intense journey of self-exploration that ended up resulting in a major career shift that has positively transformed my life in more ways than I can count. I felt an instant connection with her, so much so that I entrusted her with chopping my hair off and dying it dark for the first time in over 20 years! I remember when she finished, she asked me what I thought and I said, "I feel like I don't know who she is yet, but I'm so excited to find out!" 5 years later, I've grown into the persona that Claudette helped manifest by taking my first baby step in the direction of my heart.
