We discussed what my goals were and used pictures for reference so there was no miscommunication and we were on the same page with expectations. I wanted to go from my natural, non-dimensional dark blonde to a "lived-in" blonde. Something easy to grow out, brighter by the face and at the ends, and dimensional. She let me know the "why" behind the process. Speaking of the process... Sage knows what she's doing. Her placement was perfect. She watched the bleach carefully and didn't let anything over-process. Which means that I now have the blonde hair of my dreams and it's STILL HEALTHY. Not to mention the fact that spending time with her was just plain FUN. Hair can take a while. A true "curly cut" is done when your hair is dry so they can see the curl pattern, how your hair lays, etc. Kristin does this and then follows it up with a relaxing shampoo/conditioner. At the bottom it was lighter because of some hair lightening spray I put in over the summer. I had very little style and shape to my hair and it was sort of dull and lifeless. I showed Katie a picture of what I wanted and she was extremely upfront with me about my hair color and how it would require at least two sessions to achieve the look I wanted. So part 1 was balayage to give me a new lighter base color. Then, a few weeks later, I came back for highlights and foils to achieve the lighter pops of blonde I wanted. She toned it down to remove some warmth and by the end of the second session I was so thrilled and loved the color. You have to be patient! You can't go in with dark espresso hair and expect to come out looking like a blonde/bronde bombshell. I included photos to show what it looked like after the first session. The end result is amazing. Katie really listened to me and what I wanted. She really achieved the look I was going for and also cut my hair in an awesome way to give it shape, style, and texture. Would recommend 100% I'm so in love with my hair. After years of extensions I'm so happy to finally love my own hair.
