He said they stopped a couple years ago, but we had them in 2025. He said they wanted to go back to being a "dive bar". News Flash: Vegas is loaded with "dive bars". Good luck with that business model... Anyway, what has always been a spot we've went to over the past 15 to 20 years will probably be somewhere we don't even think about in the future. The place is visually awesome - Neon lights, colorful decor, and a tequila/mezcal vibe that makes it a great spot for photos! We sat at the bar and ordered two cocktails thinking they were part of the deal. When the check came, the bartender told us the special didn't apply to those drinks. We didn't ask beforehand, but it definitely would've been nice if that had been mentioned when we ordered. That said, the drinks were still good and reasonably priced (~$14 each) for Fremont. The actual 1/2-price drinks were mostly basic wells. We also tried the Mexican candy shots for $7 each that were part of the special... honestly not worth it. Major shoutout to the bouncer who took photos for us. He didn't just press the button and hand the phone back. He actually looked at the screen, adjusted, and made sure the photos looked great. They turned out AMAZING and we really appreciated the effort! Despite the little mix-up at the bar, we still had a great time. The service is top notch, the ladies are wonderful even when they are intentionally projecting insults at you with the megaphone. You will get a good laugh. The bartenders dance on the bar top every hour so make sure you get your crap off the bar when they do! Ask for a water or get cocky and you might be wearing the water instead of drinking it. I've been sprayed with the water gun a time or two. Haha! If it's your first time I recommend asking for a "hog piss" shot. They are only $3 at the time of writing this and actually pretty tasty. Don't forget to buy your bartender one as well! The security staff was very professional and they do check IDs. They were on top of everything very discretely without disruption. Shout out to Nathan! Great guy! I had some guy starting an altercation with me thinking my beer was his. The security team noticed the interaction and immediately redirected him without further escalation. This was my first time to the new location and I stayed at the Plaza Hotel just so I was close to my favorite bar. This bar is also very lady friendly, not just for the guys. I see wedding parties come in all the time. Everyone has a blast! Only complaints I had about this location was you had to walk through the casino to use the restroom and then come back. Also the bartenders have to tame it down a bit from their previous location since it's located in a casino. Also if you are easily offended from profanity or crude comments then this isn't the place for you. I personally love it. This is a temporary location and I can't wait for the opening of their new permanent location. I had a great time as always and will be back as always! I highly recommend going to Hogs if you have not been. You will not be disappointed. Don't forget to tip your bartenders! The bartenders were rude, discrimitory, and dismissive. This Lounge is at the Strat. We went to management and they were dismissive as well. We received great service from Upper management. 20 minutes after our incident that same bartender also got into a fight with a man who was defending a woman in his party for the same rude behavior given to us. The bartender actually got from behind the bar and got in the man's face. Horrible experience. Will never darken the door of that hotel.
