This is a Terrible business! Here is most of a letter we sent to the owners of Green Patch…read morenursery and landscaping in Brawley Ca.... who didn't care about our complaint. Yet Another neighbor has just left, after coming to check out what he thought would be our new cool landscaping. Every time someone comes by, is another reminder of how disappointed, frustrated and irritated I/we are over the outcome. A friend of ours highly recommended Green Patch, and after checking out Yelp and your FB page... as well as discovering that you'd also done some of our neighbors yards, we decided to go for it. From our first meeting this past Thanksgiving, we impressed on Richard, that after waiting and hoping for 5 years to have just a bit of shade out here, we were finally able to commit to getting started on the project. The first thing that absolutely had to happen was to plant and irrigate a shade tree or two, and before it got too hot. You seemed enthusiastic about the project, even taking Mike and I to your home to see various trees. We were happy and excited to finally get this long overdue project started. Richard discussed planting more trees, extending the irrigation, putting in some lighting, and a small rock garden feature. We said we could spend $5-10,000, and were told that would be fine. Throughout the process, and every time we came to the nursery, I personally impressed upon Richard the Absolute necessity for at least a couple of shade trees ASAP. On December 19, 2019, Richard came out to our place, walked the property and drew some plans for us. It was agreed that we'd take care of buying and getting all hard scape in the project, and he'd get started on the irrigation, trees and shrubs starting in January. You can see from this photo that the plans clearly show what type of trees we wanted, and where the trees would go. We admit we weren't able to be on sight, overseeing what was being done, as we were caring for an elderly family member thru the end of her life... But Richard assured us that he had everything under control, and we had confidence that he did. On February 6 2020, Mike and Richard spoke on the phone and Mike was told that the estimate for the trees and irrigation would be around $6500-6800. We drove down to your nursery on 2-14-20 to pay our bill. Why we never had a contract, or why we paid before seeing the results I'll never know. But that's when Richard said the $6800 was only for irrigation. We Never would have agreed that. Never. We were dealing with a tragic family situation, so we paid rather than argue. We regret that decision. $6800 is just too much to turn our back on. We had waited for so long to have some shade on the property, and when we arrived at the house, we couldn't have been more disappointed. There was irrigation and some holes for trees, and that's it. No trees. The One Thing we insisted we had to have.
