We stopped in here with a group of 15 unexpectedly. We ordered from their takeout stand and had a seat, and our food was out in about 10 minutes - awesome! Then the food? YES! YES! Came here on lunch for food. It'll never happen again. It's the chicken sandwich and the Baked Nachos. Took over 30 minutes and I honestly don't think they have ANY seasoning in stock. The chicken sandwich was simply a thawed out, , breaded chicken patty, lettuce, tomato,lettuce and a dry bun. No cheese, seasoning or any sort of sauce. Definitely not worth $9. The baked nachos were a great portion. However the ground beef was not seasoned AT ALL. the cheese was dry and hardened shortly after it came out. Tomaoto, lettuce and jalapeno. We also ordered the fried mushrooms. They were just ok. Bland like everything else. Don't bother, at least with these items. read more

This is a nice summer hangout. The drinks are affordable but the bartenders can be pretty rude. I came here for an event and it took 1 hour to get a drink and when the bartenders finally got to you they were extremely rude. However, some of the pros: They have great food, the space is nice and open, and there is a patio area that is nice. I had the Mild Wings($10) and they were delicious. A few friends and I met up here to watch a Cavs game and shoot some pool. It was recommended by one of my friends, as a chill sports bar with pool tables. Sold! That's exactly what we were looking for on our Saturday night. When I arrived, I do believe I walked into the wrong door. I was caught off guard due to the hefty crowd of folks admiring a band playing on a stage. At first I was confused but luckily I notice a door into the poolroom and made a beeline for it. From there I found 2 pool tables, several televisions high up on the walls, a few tables, and a mini basketball hoop and a few other games. Perfect! This is exactly what I was looking for. As you passed the games, you found another large bar with more televisions and a giant patio attached (but closed up, its winter - duh!). The drinks weren't too expensive, the staff was typical in terms of refilling your drinks on a weekend night, and there were a few holes in the floor covered by sheets of metal. Thanks to knowing what to expect ahead of time, I was completely satisfied. That's just one of the many reasons I leave reviews on Yelp! No frills, pools tables (and it was good night for me), and plenty of seating and TV's with the Cavs game on. read more

So confused. . . .do I review Classics? Victory's? Both? The symbiotic relationship between the two just has me shaking my head. In any event, Tuesday pizza night found me at Victory's . . . staring at the window where you order from Classics . . . .being handed a Classics menu by the Victory's bartender, who poured me a beer from Victory's before I went to the Classics' window to order my pizza . . . and then having my Classics pizza delivered by Classics' personnel to my barstool in Victory's. My head spinning, I took the pie home to devour. Thin and FLAVORFUL, that's about all I can say about Classics pizza. The crust is thin as thin can be without being too crackery. The toppings were all very good (and what a Victory that Classics uses fresh shrooms!!!). The peps were good and the pizza had a nice victoriously spicy kick. So, if you happen to be in Victory's, order up a Classics pizza. You will not be disappointed. Definitely north of three stars on the flavor. read more

My fiancé and I recently moved to Columbus from Baltimore and enjoy watching the Ravens. We came to Classics hoping to watch the Ravens here as they advertise as being a sports bar. There were empty seats and the bar wasn't packed. I asked if they could put the Ravens game on one of the multiple TVs they have. I was told if it wasn't already on a screen they could not change the TVs as patrons come early to reserve TVs. It wasn't on a screen so we were out of luck. Poor customer service coming from a sports bar. We left and went to the High Beck and will continue to come here. read more

Classics is the closest thing we have in Columbus to Cheers. It is a huge area and the staff are so friendly and work hard to remember your name and remember your favorite drink. I was deployed for a year and came back to everyone remembering me and welcoming me home. This is also the best spot for Sunday football! They have great specials every week and you're guaranteed to see your team on one of their screens. Buckets of beer, mimosas, bellinis, and a bloody Mary bar are the perfect addition to their all day brunch specials. They also have a massive outdoor patio and you can play cornhole with your friends while watching the game on their giant projector screen. The food is also excellent and the prices can't be beat. My first time back in Columbus after sometime and I have to say the atmosphere at Victorys on gamedays and special events is electric to say the least. My nephew, his girlfriend and i were out for a night on the town with friends but ended up making a night of it at Classics. The staff was warm, friendly and attentive while each time the decor for each event set the tone for the evening. Victorys had great food and judging from the staffs professionalism in handling minor disturbances is dedicated to maintaining a mature enjoyable atmosphere for its patron which i personally appreciated. read more

They always have various drink specials but the real highlight for me is their thin and crispy pizza. Very reasonably priced and tastes fantastic. Wow! Does anybody remember the "Cheers". Yeah that is the show starring Ted Danson about a sports bar in Boston which showed anyone with some sense how to run a bar. In an age of fast food and impersonal customer service its good to see Victorys carrying on tradition. Absolutely love the comraderie amongst the staff who interestingly enough come from all walks of life. Just to be a fly on the wall and hear some of the conversations provide way more than enough entertainment. Victorys great for dinner, dancing or just to get a drink with an old friend. Thinking of having a coming home party after learning they book private parties and making good use of all that space. read more

SHADY SCAMMERS. Some friends and I stopped in to grab a drink before eating dinner across the street. The next day I realized they helped themselves to adding more gratuity to my bill. I order from Classics a lot because it is close to where I work. I had wings in Buffalo, NY and they reminded me of the ones they serve here. Their hot garlic sauce is great on wings or on chicken tenders. They have awesome beer battered onion rings and good fried mushrooms. Their salads are good-- they serve Marzetti's dressing. Their pizza is excellent and the sausage has the right amount of spice. You can get a lot of food for the money if you get the lunch specials. Sometimes they are understaffed so the wait times vary, but for the most part the staff is friendly, especially if you're a regular. read more

We came to Ohio for an expo show downtown. We were looking for a bar that we could watch our NFL team play. We decided to check out Classic victory sports bar because they would have all the different NFL teams playing. We were enjoying watching our team when out of the blue one of the customers decided to change a channel to a different game. We only had two minutes left in our game and our team was up two touchdowns. It really wouldn't of been an issue had this customer asked if we minded if he changed the channel to a closer game but he didn't care what we thought. When we confronted him about watching our game he told us he really didn't care! I asked him if he was management and he said no but he spends enough money in there that he can do whatever he wants! He also informed me that if we didn't like it we could go back to our hotel! We are frequent travelers and have never been treated so rudely especially by a customer! We have many people arriving this week for the expo show and will not recommend Classic Victory if they're looking for someplace to catch their favorite sports! (I'm not there getting drunk, so its not a case of simply not remembering) I order 3 beers, I pay for 4. I order a round of 5 for the table, I pay for 7. Only ever gotten takeout pizza. The pizza is okay. The service is horrible. Stick with Plank's Cafe for your local pizza needs in German Village. They have a coupon that you have to bring in to get the free garlic bread on their website. The first time I went in, it was fine to show it on my phone. The second time I called, I accidentally asked for bread sticks and was rudely told they only have garlic bread. After I apologized for making a mistake I was told you have to bring in the coupon for the free garlic bread. I told him in the past it was okay if I just had it on my phone, and he told me no you have to print it off. I said. Okay, I was really only getting the pizza for the free garlic bread, and I was hung up on. For great service stick with Plank's Cafe. They don't need coupons to attract customers anyway! My friend and I visited for lunch. The bartender was not very friendly. She asked what we wanted to drink, got our drinks and walked away. I asked for a menu and she said that everything needed to be ordered from the kitchen window and that she only did drinks. That doesn't make any sense. Ordered a mix drink and the soda was flat, asked the bartender (Ashley) if I could get a new drink and she refused to replace it, saying "The liquor had already been poured and if I didn't like the way the drink was made, then I would have to pay for a new one." I insisted that it wasn't the way it was poured, the soda was just flat, but she persistently declined my request. I have been to this bar several times and have never been treated so poorly.
