I came here after my barber kinda screwed me for the last time, and I'm a pretty patient guy. I expected the typical barber feel; belittle friends, argue over politics, laugh uncomfortably at homophobic jokes, that stuff. However, while sitting in the waiting room I noticed a few things that completely changed my view of what the neighborhood barbershop could be. The guys in here are respectful as I don't know what. Lots of pleases and thank yous but not the overbearing condescending kind. I got in the chair and it just got better. My barber was so attentive. I would give his name but people tend to get a preference and I am here to tell you prefer the shop NOT the individual. This here is the Google of barbers in Chicagoland. I was blown away by the organization and corporate setting of such a boutique and personable shop. I booked my appointment A$AP Rocky through their app online. The quality of service is just stellar too. I overheard my barber explaining the strengths and weaknesses of how an apprentice barber handled a previous customer. The previous customer's cut was beyond perfect in my eyes. Yet, my senior barber still had a few constructive pointers. This is why I say ask for anyone there, not just individual barbers. All top mother freaking notch barbers here. Oh speaking of which, no cussing. It's crazy though, as reserved and organized as this shop is, Dynasty is still the most down to earth shop I've been to. Now I've saved the best for last, my cut. This shop will without a doubt give you the cleanest, most precision, delicate cut and lining you have ever received. Prepare to look photo ready after they triple line your crown, beard and burns. I cannot believe this place isn't nationally recognized yet really. The guys in here are the most modest around. Then again, the best usually are. *Side-note* After you get your amazing cut be sure to snap a shot of it and let me know how it went. I was flexing so hard I forgot to take a shot of the wavey perfection my boy gave me.

Either I love the barber and hate the shop or the other way around. JR's the barbershop, gets a 4 out of 5. Here's why: - it's a big space, so there's a lot of places to sit as you walk in. Great for social distancing. - Masks required - Good music - family atmosphere - 98% of the time, it's a family/female friendly shop #shoptalk is inevitable, lol. - it's a great spot! Tony, the barber, gets a 6 out of 5! I can show him a picture or simply describe an idea that I have for my cut and he gets it! Plus he's punctual and quick. I have been taking my son to this barber..the owner since he was just past one year (he's 4 now)…read more Children's haircuts are $12...but I noticed that everytime I pay ( with a $20) he only gives $5 back. Ive let it slide for years because I just wanted my child to have consistency and he's a decent barber. However, lately Ive noticed that he will charge some of his male customers less than the prices listed...and I started feeling taken advantage of so I just started giving him exact change ( because tips are optional and at the will of the customer). A good businessman would never take a tip. Today, my son got his hair cut and once again I gave him $12...and he lost it! He told me that the tip that he's been TAKING is for me to show my appreciation for cutting my son's hair and if I can't tip, he cant cut his hair. Needless to say....we will NEVER patronize his business again.
