Crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyy I…read morecan't believe this establishment has not gotten one single review yet... I get it. Y'all wanna keep this place a secret. But dayummmmmm!!!!! Sorry. I can't. I had to wait almost 2 hours for my cut. On top of that, I'm from north side. So it took me about an hour to get here. Let me tell you that it was absolutely worth it! Next time though. I will most definitely have to make an appointment because I don't know if I can wait 2 hours every time haha. Even though it is absolutely worth waiting for. For a clean line up and fade? The cleanest I've gotten in all of Illinois? Yea. It's worth it. I got my cut with Vaughn. Super professional and did not judge me because of my race. (A lot of places would treat me differently because I was an Asian looking for a clean line up and fade) Nope. I was treated just like any other customer which I loved! I told him what I was looking for and he told me "don't worry. I got you" Next thing you know. I got exactly what I wanted. My wife was happy. I was happy. I got compliments from others. Shiet. Was. Clean. My fade was hella fleek. The ONLY thing I could possibly say was that I didn't get a hot towel shave at the end like I ASSUMED I would get, but hey. That's my bad for assuming that it came with one. The finesse. The professionalism. The respect. Mad props to Vaughn. I will gladly drive an hour down to this barbershop to get my fade and line up simply because they know what they're doing here and they take A LOT of pride in doing it.

Why is it that when a female walks into a barber and just wants a fade it's an issue? Is it because…read moreI am a female, or does it have to do with personal beliefs? Either way...hair does not have a gender. "Cutting females hair is different from cutting a guys hair." Is what I was told. And I said "hair is hair." I definitely had looks from the males here. It was NOT my first time here. I have been here several times and never had an issue. (Jacob has always been very nice and never gave me an issue.) Thankfully....THANKFULLY Moe put it all aside and did my hair. It came out great. He even ignored the comments he was getting because he was doing my hair. It came out great. Sexism needs to stay out of business. Money doesn't have a gender either. Again. Thank you, Moe.

It was raining and I had about 15 minutes to go and then realized that there were 4 other guys waiting in their cars and another came around from the front. Good, bye! There are about a dozen barber shops on 6 between Calumet and Torrence. I have tried 3 of them, that I will not be returning to. I spot this joint and Lou is all by his lonesome! I popped in and there was a younger lady behind the counter. I was seated right away and we got on our way. He started talking to me like we were old friends. Nice guy. But when he was cutting my hair, it seemed as though he was just flying thru it. Not in a hurry, he just knew what he was doing after 90 years in the business. he shaved my neck and thru the whole process kept sweeping the hair off my face. He also had a damp towel that got rid of the rest before I left. It's been years that I haven't left a barber without half the hair that was cut, still on my head. Lou is my new guy for a high and tight.
