There are about a dozen barber shops on 6 between Calumet and Torrence. I have tried 3 of them, that I will not be returning to. I spot this joint and Lou is all by his lonesome! I popped in and there was a younger lady behind the counter. I was seated right away and we got on our way. He started talking to me like we were old friends. Nice guy. But when he was cutting my hair, it seemed as though he was just flying thru it. Not in a hurry, he just knew what he was doing after 90 years in the business. he shaved my neck and thru the whole process kept sweeping the hair off my face. He also had a damp towel that got rid of the rest before I left. It's been years that I haven't left a barber without half the hair that was cut, still on my head.
