I let them know as there was a small pond in my yard and my water bill was x3 for three months. I let them know and they sent their irrigation guy who said he is not capable of fixing the issue, so I had to call my irrigation company. They fixed it and billed me and I told Preferred landscaping. They ignored my emails for a while until they said it was not their fault because they have highly trained employees who looked like they may be the age of 18. They have not gotten back to me after multiple attempts and denied it's their fault which I am not sure what else it could be since they cut to build a wall right where the leak was. Poor customer service and they do not own up to their faults. So not only did I pay for poor landscaping services, they did not reimburse me at all of my water bills of 300 or the 2k bill from my irrigation company. Plus overall they laid seed for grass and it was an extremely poor job and our grass look horrible compared to neighbors who had their seed laid around a similar time. They just happened to lay seed a weekend before a rain storm and said that is not their fault even though if they have been in business they should know not to schedule a seed lay right before a huge rain storm. I am super unhappy with all aspects of the work they did and would NEVER recommend.

I moved into my home in spring of 2019. Turfs was the preferred landscape company from our builder,…read moreso we went with them. When Jon Stotz met with us, he was kind and cordial, listened to our wants and desires, and provided us with a timely proposal. At the time, no other homes were built around mine, and being the lowest point of the phase, we had a silt screen around our drainage easement that couldn't be removed until construction was completed. It left us about a 10'-0" wide chunk of property that we could not develop. Jon stated to us specifically that this wouldn't be a problem. He stated his company can pull the silt screen and finish the area when the adjacent homes were built. When the adjacent homes were completed and landscaping was underway, we tried countless times to get in touch with Jon about our discussion to finish the easement to no avail. When we finally got a hold of him, he "did not recall" our conversation about the easement and said he wasn't planning to conduct the work. Be careful with him, and get everything in writing. Turfs Are Us uses vague language and innuendo to persuade the deal. Who could have thought that "all lawn areas" only means to the limits of a fence, and not a property line? Other issues to note: 1. Hydroseed was installed after a substantial rain. The workers were ankle deep in mud while spraying. You will roll your ankle in my backyard if you aren't careful. 2. Front Japanese Maple had to be replaced because they laid weed mat over top of the dedicated sprinkler (didn't realize until too late). 3. River Birch in back had to be replaced over similar issue (nozzle was never opened - didn't realize until too late). 4. Fertilization guys burnt my grass in several areas and left other areas severely malnourished. Stay away. There are so many other companies you can do business with that will treat you with the respect and dignity that you deserve. To Jon's credit, he did eventually offer to complete the work, although I'm curious how someone so confident to have been right in our dispute, would offer to complete the work at such a severely reduced rate.
