Meadowgreen is a great company! They deliver top tier residential snow removal at a very reasonable price. They let us know when they are coming through our neighborhood at the most convenient time for us, sending emails before and after each pass. They monitor snow depth closely and come out whenever the snow reaches 1.5 inches. They haven't missed once in the last three seasons. They also report road conditions accurately in every email, very helpful for commuters. read more

I only write reviews when something is either really bad, or really good. The reason for this review of Meadowgreen: they are ridiculous good at doing their job. Having had many snow plow services in the past, it is easy to compare these companies. What is impressive about Meadowgreen is pretty simple, but rare: when a snowfall is predicted, they email you to let you know when the snow is expected, and when they will be out, plowing or snow blowing (good for our type of drive). And then they do EXACTLY what they said they would do. Compared to other companies we have used, this place is a pro organization. And, when they show up to plow our drive before the snow has stopped, they often RETURN to do it, again! So, they do what they say they will do, completely and on time. And, to the reader: I don't know anyone at Meadowgreen and have nothing but a good experience that is driving my desire to write this review. read more

We are newly signed and were looking forward to an "all in one service ". They showed up, unannounced, to pretreat our lawn. HUGE problem as we have a dog we leave out with access to the garage for shelter. They also scalped our front yard in cutting the grass but didn't touch the back. This company won't "own" their mistakes. After years of service, they damaged my car. I had just detailed my car the day before our mowing day, so the damage was clearly from their mowing team. They denied it, and since I do not have cameras installed on the outside of my house, I could not prove they did it. My recommendation is to invest in a $500 camera system so if they damage your car, you will avoid $700 in repairs. read more

This review is based on two different services. The first, snowplowing, I would rate as 5 stars. We have been using Meadowgreen plow service for 3+ years at this point and have never had a single issue. They are great with communication, come multiple times during storms, plow early before work and return to plow the ends of driveways after the snow plows come. Truly I have no complaints on this service. The lawn service on the other hand, is a different story. We used Meadowgreen in 2017 for lawn service. Everything was going great until the end of the season. The last month or two was spotty. No one would show up for 2-3 weeks. When I called, I was told it was because someone had quit and just not shown up to do their work during their last 2 weeks. That night the manager came and mowed my lawn. No problem. The weeks that followed were also spotty, but since it was getting into fall, I wasn't as worried about it. 2018 started off bad. I got a new quote for lawn service, and the price jumped MORE THAN 50%. In 2017 I paid less than $1000, and it 2018 the price went up to $1,650. The reasons listed were terrain (the same terrain they quoted the year before and mowed the year before) and pet waste (again, same as last year and we actually try to clean it up the night before they come, but since they don't come on the same day every week, it's impossible; I'm assuming they have this issue with anyone who owns a dog?). This increase along with the spotty service at the end of 2017 didn't seem worth it to me. So, I called the company. I was told that someone would contact the manager and get back to me. I waited 2 weeks and called again. At this point I was already missing the window to get the early bird discount (because no one returned my call). The second time I called, the person was very nice, and again said she'd talk to the manager/owner and get back to me. Then, about a week later I get a call from the same woman saying that she was going calling everyone who used their service last year to see if they wanted to renew, and gather payment. I reminded her that no one had returned my call once again and she assured me the owner would be contacting me soon. Well, it's now July, halfway through the lawn season, and I still haven't received a reply. My husband is mowing this year and I don't plan on using or recommending Meadowgreen for lawn service ever again. read more

The winter weather in Grand Rapids makes snowplow service important. We have been very happy with MeadowGreen, which we have use since we moved back to Michigan in 2018. They are reliable, staffed with capable plow operators, and equipped with up-to-date snow plows. In addition, they do an excellent job sending emails to customers to describe impending snow storms and to inform us of their plans for service for the upcoming 12 hours. They also send emails to indicate what they have done as of when the email is sent, and what they plan to do during the period over which the current forecasts indicate snow, sleet, or mixed rain and snow will be falling. I used them for a few years but noticed a downward decline with plowing. Year before last, i made calls on a couple of concerns. Last year I was emailing pics of all my concerns more frequently. They did respond and return to replow but I decide to cut my losses and look elsewhere. read more

I have two driveways and I paid to have both plowed. So far this winter I have called no fewer than 10 times because they have missed one or both. Apologies just don't cut it anymore. I will move on. They are not worth the aggravation. read more

We've been using Meadowgreen for plowing and a summer lawn contract for at least 3 years now. The plow is reliable and does a great job; they double back to clear the driveway approaches after the street plow comes by. The lawn looks much better after 3 years of treatment. On the few occasions that I've had to call for clarification or special request, they are quick to answer the phone, friendly, and helped me out. The price seems reasonable as well.
