When a storm hits, tree cutters can be tied up for weeks. This can be problematic if you have…read morescheduled maintenance tree work to be done. HA Irish is no different in that way. That said, on Saturday 4/20/19, we had a monster storm hit our area. One tree fell on our house. Another tree was dangling, ready to fall anytime. We were without power for 3 days. We placed a call to HA Irish. They showed up that same day with their survey crew. When HA Irish surveyed the tree that was ready to fall, they scheduled their crew for their first job Monday morning. They showed up and got the job done before further damage could occur to our (or our neighbor's) property. We had a second tree fall about a week later. Since this tree had already fallen and (thankfully) caused no damage, it was some time before HA Irish got around to clearing it. In both cases, HA Irish did a marvelous job of cleaning up our yard after doing their work. Their prices were reasonable and they furnished invoices which allowed our insurance company to pay our claim (on the first trees that fell 4/20... not the 2nd one which fell a week later. The 2nd one caused no property damage.) HA Irish is well known around our neighborhood. They do some of the tougher jobs. I don't know that any good tree service can get 5 stars because it's so difficult to get them to show on schedule when you have routine maintenance. The next big storm is always in the way. It's hazardous, dirty, dangerous work. That said, HA Irish is about as good as we've found for reliable, reputable tree service.

Spoke with Tim at the office and he cannot even send me an invoice until the end of day. Run do not use these people. Also to note: They came the day after they said they would be there, they did not call I had to reach out. I gave a pass on this as there was a major storm, but not very professional to not call. I had to call the office 6 times before they answered this morning. Charged for clean up, however there are still 3 large pieces of tree in my yard. They're was some type of manager (Lansing lesson) there because their Lansing crews had been "caught doing stuff they shouldn't" Do not use this company Edit / Follow up: After reaching out and waiting they did send me an invoice for just over 8500 for the same job, never did receive an invoice for the 13 thousand that they sent to my insurance company. This still seems excessive to me and I did reach out and they were unwilling to lower it any more. They charge for a full 8 hour day no matter how long they are actually on the job, which they state is standard practice, however none of the other three tree companies I called do this. I never received a response to my email questioning this, however, Rebecca was able to email me within minutes when I asked where to send the check. The contact that they make you sign leaves absolutely no protection for you the customer, they can do what ever they want and there is no recourse, including not honoring any estimate given. If you don't pay within 30 days they will charge you interest. This is a predatory company and they are very good at seeming like they are their to help until you get the invoice, then they will not help at all.

Recently, I had them take down a few oak trees when it was bitterly cold out. They asked me how low I wanted them cut, and at the time, I wanted to leave some taller "snags" for critters. A month later, I changed my mind and wanted the stumps cut much lower. My neighbor hired them, so I texted them to see if they could pop over and cut mine lower while they were next door. "Yes", they said, and they didn't even charge me! They also cut the huge trunks into smaller, manageable pieces and even stacked them! Friendly crew, very good equipment, and always willing to help!
