I've loved something different about each instructor I've taken a class with so far, and I'm looking forward to trying even more! Carrie does a great job explaining how the movements translate into our everyday lives and which muscles we're working. Paula was amazing at explaining the foundations and making sure everyone understood the exercises and helping us perform them correctly. I also really appreciate that Debbie uses hands-on corrections to help with form. It makes it so much easier to understand what I should be doing. My only feedback would be that I wish there were more classes available overall, especially before 8:00 AM. I would love to see more Reformer 1 classes in the early morning and/or more Center + Balance classes. With my work schedule, it can be difficult to find classes that fit, and getting there after work can be more challenging. Classes do fill up pretty quickly, although I will say that even when a class is waitlisted, it seems very likely to get off the waitlist and make it in! Overall, I've had a great experience so far and would definitely recommend Club Pilates, especially to anyone who is new to Pilates!

Pilates has helped me so much with movement in my daily activities, while it is more costly than a gym, you get so much more with the instructors helping you in every class to ensure you are doing the movements correctly to get the most benefit. This studio is always kept clean and the staff are all friendly! I started Pilates several years ago when I retired and decided it was time to make health my priority! I will be doing Pilates the rest of my life! Sign up for an intro class and you won't regrets it! My only complaint is the classes do fill up quickly so I have learned to book as far ahead as possible.

The short review: try it, you'll like it!!!…read more The long review: PureFit made my day. Week! One of the things I don't like about travel is missing my yoga classes. I found PureFit on Yelp and it seemed like an easy class to visit. So true! The instructor/owner Emily immediately made me feel welcome and comfortable. The class was perfect, just challenging enough and fun. I wasn't sure about the space--it's in a church--but there's a good, open feel as soon as you walk in and the space where the class is held is spacious. Emily uses the mic well so you can easily hear but it isn't loud. The cost is very reasonable. If we lived in the area I would be a regular at PureFit Yoga and Pilates.

I have been doing yoga for years and after taking classes at PureFit I can feel my form improving in new ways. I am new to Pilates and I can tell it is really helping me tone up. The classes are held in a large open airy room in a church but I feel like I am in a studio. I especially like the evening classes during the winter because they are all taught by candlelight. This is by far the most affordable yoga and Pilates studio I have found. I appreciate the reasonable prices and the friendly atmosphere.

Wonderful barre studio in the heart of Novi near the intersection of Novi and Grand River. I am…read moresomeone who has experimented with many types of workouts and have had to pivot due to injuries, but barre has quickly become a staple workout routine for me. It is challenging while also mostly low impact and you will use a combo of bands, balls, weights, the barre itself and other equipment which truly helps to shape and tone the body. I was a bit skeptical at first about this workout as I prefer high intensity and drowning in sweat = a workout well done but this workout still manages to help me break a sweat, and challenge my body and tone me in ways other exercises have been unable to touch. Also importantly, the instructors can help you to modify any exercises if you have existing injuries. There is a workout here for everyone: classic is great, especially if you are new to barre; empower is great if you crave a high intensity workout with a barre twist and reform is great for strengthening your core with Pilates type movements and resistance bands being utilized. The work outs are similar to each other but each work out session is unique which keeps things interesting plus the high energy music played is awesome to keep you engaged and your heart rate pumping. The owner Bridget is warm and welcoming and has amazing instructors here - Ani and Jade to name a few are wonderful. Bridget keeps things exciting here by planning fun events, offering fun challenges that can lead to prizes and / or discounts, and celebrating the holidays and even offering little bonuses such as a eucalyptus towel to cool down after workouts. The environment here is very positive and overall most of the attendees are decently friendly. Bridget also stocks very cute tavi noir and toe Sox along with some of the cutest yoga / barre / Pilates apparel I've seen! I love shopping here also for my workout clothes and discovered the brand Beyond Yoga thanks to Bridget curating some epic workout styles here! The only con is I do wish more classes were offered after 6 pm on the weekdays and adding one early afternoon class as opposed to mornings on the weekends would also make this place even better for me, as the classes can occasionally fill up so you do have to reserve a class sometimes in advance depending on the time slot. The staff is understanding if something comes up last minute and if you call to let them know you cannot make a class you intended to which is very helpful also. Check Pure Barre out, it is a great workout you should try if you have not already!

I have met some of the strongest, kindest, and most thoughtful women. Finally, I have had a membership for two years and it has been a game-changer. PBN is a part of my life and I am so thankful!

We pay a premium for this gym to enjoy a pool, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room. Unfortunately,…read morethe place is packed with clicks of kids dropped off all day to hang out. The pool is overrun with kids to the point they spill over into the swim lanes so either they are in my way or a random soccer ball gets slammed into my head while swimming. I watched a guy in the hot tub get his glasses knocked off his face and broken by a kid jumping in despite the 18 or older sign. The lifeguards ignore it all. Adult swim time is extremely limited. Wanted to learn Pilates. Class hours are sparse. I took 3 classes but stopped when I hurt my back - the instructor was disinterested. I get closer coaching at independent studios. The kids use the weight machines to sit and scroll on their phones. Not a lot of working out going on while I'm waiting. I never see anyone clean a machine after they use it so I clean before and after each machine use. The locker room bathroom is pretty gross, staff just can't possibly keep up with the crowds. I'm forced to head back to Planet Fitness where membership costs are reasonable. No pool but I can't use it at Lifetime anyway so I may as well stay at Planet Fitness. This is so disappointing, I had high hopes because they have so much to offer. Planet Fitness is closer to home and more adult.

I decided to cancel my membership, and they make it EXTREMELY HARD to cancel. For months I was not taking any classes but still paying because they make you cancel in person and when I was able to come in, apparently the person who is able to cancel my membership could not come in. After many phone calls and trying to work out a time to come in, our schedules are not lining up and they refuse to cancel by phone. I did a few months but after realizing my schedule never aligned with their classes I decided to…read morecancel my membership. I went in person because that's the only way they do it. They said I had a month to continue using my membership until that month had ran its course so I showed up to a few more classes and one of the last classes I attended, I ended up talking to this woman who apparently was the owner (I didn't know that at the time.) mentioned instead of canceling my membership that we put it on hold. She sent me a link to my phone, but I never really filled it out because I knew I wanted to cancel my membership and I Just didn't wanna be rude in person. I ended up getting charged for another full month so I called them and asked them what was going on since I had canceled my membership and they told me the last payment I paid was it. Then they tried gaslighting me saying that I still have one more payment to make and then my membership is canceled I told them that last time I was on the phone they said I wouldn't have to make any more payments. They said there was miscommunication, but I really think that because I'm a young woman they were trying to take advantage of me. I mentioned the situation to my dad and he felt it wasn't right and decided to show up to the establishment himself and once he did, they got back to us an hour later saying that we were right. But this was after I was on the phone with them back-and-forth and having them trying to say that I still owe the money, blah blah blah, and that because me and her talked about putting my account on hold they didn't actually cancel my membership, which doesn't make any sense. I never signed anything saying I wanted to put my account on hold once it was canceled. I received confirmation which tells me the first time I canceled my membership. They didn't actually cancel it, even though everything was in person and signed by both me and another team member. The staff was nice and the classes were OK but the management in this establishment is ridiculous and definitely fraudulent. I'm disgusted by the way Kavitha is running this business. Memberships are over $100 a month so that's a lot of money to just take out of somebody's account when they already had it in place that they were canceling. If you wanna try title, don't go to this location.
