My dog was newly diagnosed with diabetes and some other things so she could not have a typical doggy bday, so I commissioned a drawing instead. The completion date was not until December but I inquired if I could have it earlier for her birthday gift. I asked if she could design a birthday party in a sunflower fields. She even added the Koolau mountains in the back. The piece was beautiful and everyone loved it. It was also my last favorite memory of being outside freely with the both of them disease free. Literally. Now she has dirty chai sketches daily for October. You have a chance to win a digital or hand drawn piece from her which is amazing. She'll do about 3-5 a day on YouTube. Very disappointing. I hired Glass Guru based on the ratings here on Yelp, to replace the broken…read moredouble-pane glass on my back door. The customer service was good throughout the process, and communication was clear. Since the glass had to be custom ordered from the mainland, the turnaround time of about a month was understandable. The price was also on the higher side at $1k, but I accepted that given the custom nature of the job. However, for what I paid, I expected a higher level of workmanship. Unfortunately, the final result did not meet those expectations. The quality of the work--especially the overall finish of the door--was disappointing. In my opinion, when a company completes a job like this, the area should look the same as it did before (or at least close to it), just with the repaired glass. That wasn't the case here. Maybe expectations can vary, but for me, the outcome didn't reflect the level of quality a reasonable customer would expect at this price point. Based on my experience, I can't say I'm satisfied with the final result. Now I need to find someone to fix what they did to the door.

She just graduated from Navy boot camp on Sept 17. I am so proud of her. I was able to go to Chicago to see her ceremony. It was beautiful. Coming back home I had some great loss. I lost my first love, my baby girl, my Alpha, my "Boss dog Nala", within 12 hours also lost my brother, while being really sick and trying to make it through the days. I decided Sunday, that was the day to get up, get out and do something meaningful. I went to Pictures Plus in Ka Makana Ali'i. I was greeted immediately and while I waited for the person their to finish with her customer I walked around to see the options. When it was my turn the woman who I later found out her name is Kalei was pleasant, layed out my first order...my daughters picture, a picture of her shipmates, the different coins for her division and started offering different options. She explained the amazing time and detail they put into the work and even gave me options on different prices and materials. Overall, I was pleased. We decided we would wait when I get back with my daughters name plate to start the process, she was very patient and did not rush me at all. Then came to my baby's items. I wanted to frame her hair, nose print and paw print, but I was terrified to leave all that. Afraid the clay would break, thinking all the "what if's", freaking myself out with "what if they lose the items?" It was not easy for me to leave that, but Kalei's heart, patience and reassurance helped my anxieties. I left with peace in my heart, but definitely said before I left..."please take care of my baby". I am excited and can't wait to see what both frames looks like. I stopped in today to drop off my daughters name plate. Kalei was there again. Pleasant, inviting and reassuring, she mentioned my baby Boss dog Nala's things were picked up and is being worked on and she is excited to see it. SO AM I! Thank you. Thank you for your compassion, experience and care. Look forward to getting the call that its ready for pick up. I recommend this place to EVERYONE.
