    Out of town and needed an oil change. With my mechanic in Florida who can I trust? These guys. Very welcoming and helpful attitudes. Everything was explained to me and a very fair price was reached without any argument or haggle. I am very happy with the service and trust that that right stuff was put in my car. Your complimentary car wash can even be claimed at a later date. Also for those complaining that the car wash didn't completely clean your nasty never cleaned car that you use like a trash can, go spend some real money with such high expectations. Thank you.

    Growing up in the neighborhood I've been coming here for many years. Never had a problem. Guys are friendly and get their job done. Prices fair and with oil change you get a free car wash!

    I always come here to change my car oil. I can't complain the service is great. You wait inside,and through a window on the inside, you get to see what they are doing to your car. Also, with a oil change you get a free car wash. I also come here to wash my engine and chassis. Highly recommend!

The staff explained that the service would take about an hour, which was reasonable, so I stepped out to grab food while I waited. While reviewing my itemized bill, I noticed a $9.99 "maintenance reset fee" and a $10 per tire rotation charge. The tire rotation charge made sense, but I questioned the reset fee since I was already getting a full service. I called a few other Pep Boys locations and checked online (while in waiting room ) and was told that this fee is typically only charged if no service is being performed. I went back to front desk & I spoke with the associate, who was kind and helpful. He checked with the manager, who seemed a bit annoyed and explained that the reset is considered an extra step and not necessarily included. After some discussion, he applied a coupon, which I appreciated, and I left feeling somewhat satisfied. However, once I got my car back, I noticed the rear tires had not been rotated to the front as requested. I knew this based on the tire brand placement. I called back, and after checking with the technician, they admitted the rotation had been missed. Overall, I'm disappointed. The staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, and while some team members were courteous, the inconsistencies in service and billing left me uneasy.After having to follow up on something as basic as a tire rotation, it also raises concern about the quality of the work being done. I hope they improve their communication, consistency, and attention to detail moving forward.

Fearing being "taken advantage of as a woman", I authorized the team to speak with my husband, Robert Stewart--though I am the owner of the vehicle. This past weekend, I made several attempts to connect with Dana, the office manager, with no replies or return calls. I had my car delivered to Pep Boys in Corona, Queens, on October 5, 2025. After receiving a diagnostic exam, I was told that the bill would be over $3500. This is way more than the car is worth! I was given authorization for mechanic, turned assistant manager, Alfred, to self-source the needed parts--as a means to reduce the hefty price. My husband and purchased the needed parts, not without prior authorization from Alfred. Once the work was seemingly done, I was alerted that the car was cleaned and ready for pick-up. I was issued an itemized bill for $1852.40 and paid it immediately. I was alerted on 11/3/25 that my vehicle is ready for pick up, then suddenly I was told that my car is not "working" and a part that I was previously quoted as costing $800 is now $2200. This is very poor customer service. I need my car, and I need it now. I should not be forced to pay out any more money at this point. My car sits on a lift, seemingly waiting for absolution! This is unbelievable!
