They lost her dog when they took him on a trail walk in the rain, then didn't contact us until 9 hours later. Thankfully, Sherman ( a 13 yr old Cairn Terrier) was found wandering through the street crying by a nice lady who contacted the pound through Sherman's tags. When I asked why they hadn't called me earlier, Don claimed his cellphone was broken. When I asked had they contacted the shelter he said it was closed. He also said that he was talking to someone and didn't notice that the dog was missing for 15 minutes. Unbelievable! I asked them to email me all of the details and they still haven't done it. They still haven't called my mother to explain what happened even though it is now an hour after they should have been returning Sherman. The woman who found him left her a message, but neither Don or Linda has called as of this writing. I am not usually the kind of person that wants to give a bad review, but I just felt that this is too important to not let people know about it. I had to give 1 star because it's required to post a review, but obviously I wouldn't give them any stars considering what happened and how they handled the situation.

If you are looking for an amazing pet sitter, call Growls N Meows!…read more We have used Joe from Growls N Meows in the past and he was FANTASTIC! Before embarking on our travels we contacted Growls N Meows. Joe came to our house to meet us, and our furry friends. Joe was very professional, yet comforting. We had to fill out paperwork, he needed to know about electrical and water shut offs so that in an emergency, our house was a safe place for them. We were shocked and impressed by the amount of effort Joe put into preparing to take care of our furry friends. During his daily visits with our pets, Joe went above and beyond what we asked. Joe would clean bowls, litter boxes, and exceeded our needs. Joe also would provide us with daily photos of our pets. As we embark on another travel journey, Joe has agreed to to check-in on our pets again. As it has been some time, Joe requested to meet with us again, and he was still very thorough. Joe met with our pets and Joe is ALWAYS good with our pets, even when they are anxious. Joe takes great care of our pets. You can see that Joe loves all animals. We have cats, and used to have a bunny. Joe was about to take care of them all. Joe also let us know if any pets have medical needs he has no problem administering medications, or coming to check-in on pets more often. We will continue using Joe, even for short trips!

In looking at Ruff Ruff's website I was initially pleased to discover they are Diamond Certified. I signed up for the Group Hike service for my dog to be done once a week while I was at work. I was told my dog would be picked up at my house around mid-day and would be returned after at least a full hour of hiking. At first Bettina was the one who did the hikes and I would always get notes placed on my kitchen counter as to where my dog went for the day and how much he had fun. For some reason, Bettina no longer picked up my dog and it was Joey (I believe that's his name) started to do my route. A friend of mine was over at my house and called me at 5:30pm to say that my dog was just picked up. I was completely surprised as this was not the mid-day pick up I was told of. Additionally, since it was winter 5:30 was too dark to go on any hikes! I immediately rushed home to try and meet the dog walker on his return to my house but by the time I got home (within 30 minutes) my dog was already there. Again I was upset that my dog was not even exercised for one hour. My dog did not even look tired. And to add to that, the walker left me a note and said my dog had a great time. So now I wonder how long this had been going on; my paying for this service and all they did was come over and leave me notes saying my dog had a great time. Needless to say I cancelled services immediately. Being Diamond Certified doesn't necessarily mean a great company will provide great service.

Rick walked my 5 month old Great Dane puppy for one week. On the third session Raven came back with a really bad limp. The following day the limp was still happening and after a Vet visit and x-ray there was fracturing all down my pup's smallest toe in her front left paw. When Rick did the drop off he said he noticed the limp and wasn't really sure what happened (probably just a tumble with another dog?). And then afterwards he said he saw her go down with a dog and come back up limping. I can't say whether or not this is really accurate, and from the vague sounds of it, neither can he. I lost my trust in having Rick walk my dog and hope to at least provide a cautionary tale if anyone else uses Rick in the future. Reality is that I entrusted the care of my dog to a stranger and now my dog is out of walking commission at a formidable time her in life, with a large vet bill, lack of ability to socialize with other dogs, and even higher time commitment on my part. Despite good communication through logistical parts of his service and seemingly easy-going approach to dog walking, if I were to do it again I would not have had Rick walk my puppy and had a more discerning approach to who I entrust her care to.
