On 06/23/2026, I took my vehicle to Butler Automotive West, Inc. for diagnostic and repair services. I was charged $2,500 for the repair. Within the same hour of picking up my vehicle on 07/02/2026, it broke down again with the same issue that was supposed to have been fixed. When I contacted the shop to report the immediate failure, I was told it must have been something I did, even though the vehicle had barely been driven since leaving their shop. They refused to take responsibility for the failed repair or offer a reasonable explanation. I had to pay the tow service because I wanted it towed to my residence instead of being towed to Butler Automotive again. The business charged a substantial amount, did not fix the problem, and then suggested towing the vehicle back to their shop--potentially to charge additional fees. After paying $2,500, my car should not have broken down the same day. I paid nearly $200 for diagnostics alone; they did not even diagnose the issue properly. The tow man told me immediately that the alternator or the battery is the issue; it's the fuel injection system. I asked that it be checked when I gave them my car to fix, and they clearly ignored me and obviously didn't even do a diagnostic test, and their mechanics can't be smart. Butler Auto is A SCAM. Money-hungry liars. I cried to them, literally cried, begging them for help with the bill. I let them know my situation that I couldn't pay $2500 upfront, begged for in-house financing, and they refused to help in any way. Desired Resolution: A full refund of $2,500 for ineffective repair services. A written explanation of the diagnostic and repair process. Accountability for the immediate breakdown following service.

After reviewing the code in her 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, the car needed a new engine, and it was a recall. Initially, the service team provided excellent service. We paid nearly 2,000.00 for suggested service surrounding an engine replacement. We live 3 hours from this location and when it was ready, we drove to pick it up. When we drove about 17 miles, the check engine light came on again, so we called and they told us to drive it back. After reviewing the code, we were told it was the catalytic converter and that had nothing to do with the recall. We were told it was safe to drive home and if there were any issues, we could take it to the local dealership, and the engine issue would be covered. When we got home, we took the vehicle to a local mechanic to check the converter. They called me in and told me to stop driving it immediately. The manifold cover was damaged, and oil was leaking all over the place. I called Taylor Hyundai, and after multiple attempts, by phone and text, from both my daughter and I, I finally got a call back. I was told to take it to my local Hyundai Dealership. So, I did, and I was told by service it was not their problem and only the dealership that did the work can look at it for free. So began my journey of trying to reach Taylor Hyundai. It's been almost 2 weeks. Between my daughter, my wife, and I, we have left several messages and cannot get ahold of anybody but service. Every number they transfer us to goes straight to voicemail. We have received no call backs after leaving several messages. No texts responding to a call back. This is the most terrible service I have ever received by any company. I appreciated that a lot and came back, but they realized the nail in the tire is in a place they can't patch, and he said they don't do plugs at their shop. He didn't charge me for any of this and actually told me of a couple other places I could try IF I wanted to try a plug versus just getting a new tire right away (the tire still had lots of life left on it). I ended up trying the plug and so far so good, but I likely will go back to Mavis when it's time to get a new tire altogether. One star off because their waiting area isn't great and when you offer services that require more of a wait like they do, they really need a better waiting area. With a toddler it's hard to keep them from touching outlets or gross surfaces. Otherwise a fine experience.

My Air Suspension system was, what I thought malfunctioning, and in need of a replacement. They ran a bunch of diagnostic tests, and determined there was nothing wrong with the air suspension at all. They could have charged me anything, yet chose to be HONEST! They only charged a reasonable diagnostic charge and sent me on my way.
