So then…read moreI decided to hire them again recently to do a regular cleaning based on a five hour quote I was given in May. The two young ladies came on time and seemed to be doing what was asked of them per the quote... dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms, etc. I took a quick look around and everything seemed to be in order. But the next day, I checked the kitchen floor and under the shelf units and under the secretary and the hutch and they were still dirty and clearly had not been done. I spoke with the owner, who questioned my manner of checking the kitchen floor and was going to send the girls back over, but I declined that offer. I had already redone the cleaning myself. Then later in the week, I dropped an earring under my bed and had to retrieve it with the ceiling fan broom and found a ton of dust under my bed (see the pic below). And more was discovered under my dresser and under the night stands!! I also thought it was odd that there were no vacuum marks on the rug in my husband's office. I sent the picture of the dust in an email to the owner and asked for a refund of one hour of work, $42, because it was clear that the job was poorly done and I was going to have to do it all myself. At 70 years of age and having many medical issues this year, the cleaning service was a welcome helper (or so I thought!). Instead of an apology from the owner, today, I received a check for $42, and written in the memo line was " extortion, unrealistic expectations".!!! I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone as they do not know how to conduct business nor do they know how to treat their customers!!

They started using strong chemicals that made my eyes water and caused problems with my allergies. I told the owner Clarabell and she had it corrected. Then there were different ladies coming to clean each time, not the same ones. Then they were coming an hour or more late. Sometimes they would call but most of the time I did the calling. The owner later would call and want to change dates and time. This became a frequent routine with this company. There cleaning became terrible to say the leas. Just before I stopped using them two of the employees were starting there own maid service and handing out business cards. I told the owner Clarabel but didn't make much of a difference. Now she wants to branch out and clean the inside of your vehicle. She needs to do a better job of cleaning homes first. I don't like writing negative reviews but I felt people who are considering using Maid In Amarillo would be wise to go with another company. Gary

We sent the crew with 7 rugs to try and clean and save. This happened 05/19, and we received our rugs back on 06/12/2023. They were not cleaned, I took pictures of them, 1 rug came in with leaves on it and I vacuumed it. I sent in the pictures to the PM and a member of management, of which, we have yet to receive any response. We will be throwing these rugs out. They are not salvageable. As a proud Texan who has served and worn my uniform proudly, I value honesty and fairness above all else. When I booked their services, I had no idea that they were over an hour away. When we did a google search for Hereford this company showed up as if they were local. We had a overpowering sewer stench in the building only that added to our sense of urgency. In my desperation to take care of my employees, I unknowingly booked Scottco while my wife had already booked another company. As a small company with only two employees, the $420 trip charge was quite devastating for us. I believe in compensating others for their time and would never want to take advantage of anyone. I understand that mistakes happen, and I am willing to pay a fair amount for the services rendered. However, I was taken aback when I was told that the original charge was almost $600 as if I needed to be happy with the current. I believe in dealing with companies that operate with integrity and put their heart into their operations. I own up to my mistake and am willing to pay what is fair. I always strive to take care of my fellow man and would never want to feel like I'm taking advantage of someone's error. I believe in fair and honest dealings.
