Do consider my experience before booking in your car for a service....
It was my first time getting the car serviced at West London VW.
Unfortunately without boring you with all the details here are some of the things that went wrong:
Telephone booking service advised incorrect opening hours when I got there they were closed
Website had not been updated and showed incorrect opening hours
Service Advisor had a very abrupt manner about her, she was the sort of person who has to win every argument even when clearly mistaken
At the time of booking I specifically asked that the anti corrosion check isn't carried out - they carried it out
At the time of booking I specifically asked they kept the old parts for my inspection - they said had thrown them away
They washed the car but it still had grease marks on it
They delivered the wrong car to my address, it took three attempts to convince the driver it was the wrong one
They finally delivered my car but they did not follow COVID protocols of sanitizing the keys and main controls prior to hand over
The receipt was presented in a thin card sleeve which said if not extremely satisfied contact Simon Poole, Commercial Director and it detailed his email address. So I wrote to him and guess what, no reply at all, not even the courtesy of an acknowledgement.
A few days passed and I received a survey from VW asking how my service experience was, I completed it in detail (far more than here) of my terrible experience from start to finish and how I felt after dealing with the abrupt Service Advisor. Three days later I had a phone call from Denise at the dealership who apologized and said she had discussed my experience with the Service Advisor but what was even more disappointing is it became clear she had only skimmed over my survey, when for example I mentioned how badly washed the car was it was news to her and also about a few other elements. Plus there was no offer of service recovery, no please bring your car down and we'll wash it properly, no let me deduct something from the service cost for ruining your weekend plans etc.
Am giving two stars because at least they took off the cost of a cab from my total service bill so I could get home as they needed the car for longer.
They hold the VW franchise and are also an authorized Skoda service centre.
