I love this place, David has set me up with many cars over the last 30 years. Just bought one more from them.

The dealership's customer waiting area is generous. This experience was very good. Only exception this visit was an unexplained incident (perhaps magic) which was remedied. Comprehensively considering many prior encounters balances my current overall rating.

I brought my car in for service in Dec. '24 and the first this was when I see the manager Fred and I am setting up the car to get fixed I mentioned I have a warranty and he laughs at me. The other idiot I dealt with was a guy name Joesph Craddock and he tells me that I need new shocks and a gear rack (rack pinion). He lied multiple times and told me it would be done in a couple weeks. A few weeks later with no communication, I get sent through text to write a review about the service and I gave Joesph a bad review because my car wasnt fixed. He personally texts me, mad at me that his bosses said something to him and tried to make me take the down the review so he wouldnt get in trouble. (Typical unprofessional behavior). After a few more weeks and MULTIPLE calls & texts to customer service, I was ignored multiple times especially when I asked for and updates, part numbers or order numbers. Finally, the manager Fred calls me and tells me that hes waiting on rubber bushings (total BS) Finally, after almost 4 months from my original diagnosis which was the gear rack and shocks, this idiot Joesph tells me that I dont need a new gear rack, which makes no sense considering he told me I could drive the car while they were waiting. Even I know that if you first diagnose something it's not going to get better when you put more pressure on it. And they didnt even fix the gear rack and the claimed the only fixed the shocks and there is still knocking in the front from it. By not fixing the gear rack it led to a power steering problem. I haven't been able to drive the car since I got it back because the engine light is on because of the unprofessional neglect by the place and the 2 people that I mentioned. Do whatever you can to steer clear of the people at this place. They are unprofessional, dishonest and do not care about their customers. I filed the grievance with the state and they lie to the state also. I have proof of everything through text messages and screenshots (I'm not some ridiculous customer who's just saying that either) so there's nothing that they can tell me that is wrong. I take it somebody will reply to this with some generic response but I will be more than glad to post all the information. I have a ton of screenshots and text messages that I'll be more than glad to expose Fred and Joseph for and expose how unprofessional and uncaring this place has been. They never even offered me a loaner car to help me.

I really liked that car, and suddenly we had to replace it. Suburban Toyota's website lists all the cars they have on the lot, and what's about to be delivered, too. I saw that the prices were competitive. They had exactly the slightly used car that I wanted. Garrett helped us with everything: picking the car we wanted from a few that were similar years and milage, adding the car to our insurance, plate transfer etc. Pete helped us pick a warranty package for a really good price that covers everything. Both Garrett and Pete were kind and helpful, answered all of our questions, showed us all the options, and just made it such a nice experience, easy and no stress, to replace my car. The next day we finished the sale, went out to pick up the car, and they'd filled the tank and done a last inspection with oil check etc, all. These are truly friendly people, not *just* experts on all the cars and what's involved in buying one, and they have never steered us wrong when we go to buy a car. This will be the third car we've bought at Suburban Toyota, and even when we didn't expect to have to buy a car, they made it something to look forward to. Oh -- and they have delicious complementary cappucino, too! ;-)

Do yourself a huge favor and take your business to Toyota of Farmington hills. Better service, professionalism and the sales team is extremely helpful no matter your issue.

If I haven't had a chance to schedule an appointment due to a busy schedule, or even if something happens to my car during the week and I want to get it checked out. if I pull up at the service center early on Saturday, I can get my car checked out ok the spot. This isn't the first time I made use of this service, but this time reminded me of just how much I appreciate the service... I noticed two of my tire caps were missing about a month ago, but wasn't planning on going out of my way to do anything about it if my tire pressure stayed alright. Over the past 1.5 weeks it appeared the pressure was slowly getting lower in two tires. So, when I woke up on Saturday I decided to take it in-- no appointment necessary! When I drove up, Jerry M. walked up to my car with a smile on his face, told me he'd get my tires looked at, replace the caps if spares were available, and check my oil level just to make sure everything was gucci. My car was returned to me-- with new caps, good tire pressure, AND a nice rinse-down-- in ten minutes minutes flat. Super thankful for friendly, thoughtful, and speedy service. Jerry said it'd be a quick fix and it was! They didn't keep me any longer than I had to be, and I honestly felt like a priority, which isn't always the case when you take a car into the shop. Thanks Jerry & team!

A dealer ship is only good as the level of service you receive after the purchase. I can attest…read more100% that Acura DOES NOT stand behind their New Vehicle Warranty. I am new to the Acura Brand and was exited when I purchased an Acura MDX. However, I realized this brand had issues from the beginning like oil changes when your oil gets to 15% life. That means that in the time you would have paid for 4 oil changes you have actually brought your car in for 5 oil changes meaning that they are cutting your oil life short to bring you in more often. Next is if they say your vehicle need a "Software Update" (I've never heard of this before) they will charge you $170. Again, another way to cheat customers out of their money. Next is the none existing New Car Warranty. My MDX had an Electronic Brake System, Emission System and Flashing Park light illuminated on vehicle notification system. I took the car in for service, they stated that the car gave an emissions leak reading, but they could not find it and because they could not find it I had to pay $169 dollars. I repeatedly ask why was this issue with the faulty sensor notification not covered by warranty and I was told by the manager that it was because there was no repair. I said you reset the sensor due to faulty notification, that is a repair. I was told it was not and I could have taken my car anywhere for the issue, and that THEY (THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT & DEALERSHIP) HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ACURA. Even though I was in an Acura dealership using Acura service. I WAS TOLD THEY SELL AND SERVICE ACURA VEHICLES BUT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ACURA. I was then told to call customer service which told me "THE DEALERSHIP ONLY HAD YOU CALL US TO GET YOU OUT OF THEIR FACE" I had her repeat herself to ensure we heard what she had said, THEN SHE HUNG UP IN MY FACE. I said this is a new car with just over 15k miles there anything that is activates the warning system should be covered weather or not you were able to pin point what trigged the issue. The fact is that the system sent out 3 separate codes to my notification system and I came in to have them investigated and I was told to pay up or I could not have my car back. I said I am new to the Acura brand and this is how you treat a new client that is faced with the decision of keeping the vehicle or turning in for another Acura Vehicle in the next two months? THE MANAGER LITTERALLY SAID IT DID NOT MATTER. I WONDER IF THE OWNER OF THIS DEALSHIP FEELS THE SAME WAY. I have not come a single time for maintenance service and seen people shopping the showroom at Acura of Troy. It seems like REPEAT CUSTOMERS WOULD ABSOULTLY MATTER. I said so $169 dollars is the difference between keeping a buyer or sending them to one of the other 10 dealers on the same road? I was met again with indifference and I went to the dealer next door to purchase a vehicle that cost 10k more. As the Acura MDX was paid off in less than a year after purchase. DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU WANT A BRAND THAT STANDS BEHIND THEIR BRAND AND SERVICE.

Unfortunately since Subaru apparently no longer makes my headlight bulb, I needed to supply that myself for them to perform the diagnostic tests and replace it. However, the tech fixed a pinched wire and downward pointed bulb for my running light on the same side that gave the impression of being burnt out. I ended up running across the street with the car to buy a new bulb after he advised me to bring the car back on Monday even if I couldn't get an appointment. On Monday, I dropped the car off and they performed the diagnostic, determining that corrosion to the connector and wire of the high beam bulb was responsible for the bulb not lighting up. They fixed it and did not charge me for the repair. Even better, they offer a 6 mile-radius shuttle service via Lyft so I didn't have to bother someone on a steamy hot summer day to give me a ride back to the service department. They're easy to get into and out of. Christian was a star in reaching out for updates and communicating what I needed to do. I had a good experience here -- the waiting room on a Saturday was spotless and empty, with free WiFi. He was exemplary throughout for telling me what happened. I wish I'd known about the headlight not being carried anymore as I could've dashed across the street to Walmart to pick one up.

Service advisor wouldn't return calls nor give me updates on if they were waiting for parts or what was happening.basically got ghosted. then finally they tell me they're working on it and some bolts broke they need to charge $700 to drill and tap 2 bolts for the subframe. I'm like ok the price is high but let's just do it so I can get my car back. They finally call me to pick up the car from the recall job. I get in the car and the my newly installed coolant and oil pressure gauge's in my center console are not working. I walk back to the counter and it so happens the mechanic was standing there with the SA. I tell them that the gauges aren't working and the mechanics response was "well the wires for those are such a mess back there I couldn't figure it out. (I just wired those gauges in and tucked all the wires neatly 2 days before I dropped off the car for the recall.) SA butts in asking if the gauges were working when I dropped the car off, I said yes. They then took the car back and the mechanic said "oh one of the power pins must have got pulled out" and he proceeded showed me a photo. I get the car back home and now the wires for the gauges are a complete mess butchered by incompetence. The mechanic couldn't ever be bothered to Tuck the wires. One of the wires was snagging on the gas pedal and a complete hazard in a sense that it would have hooked on the pedal stuck and stuck it on. Extremely dangerous and unprofessional. Took photo proof as-well. So that's one issue. The next is they dropped my fuel tank to do the brake pipes. Standard JOB no big deal right? Well, now everytime I fill the car with gas the car runs so rich for the first few minutes that it's so hard to start it and it's almost as if someone made a mistake on the order of putting back the fuel lines / EVAP lines. I'm lucky enough to have 2 post lifts at my house and have all the tools to figure out this issue on my own. I do however feel bad for all the other normal non car people that bring their cars here and get shown this amount of incompetence and inexperience. Avoid this dealership like the plague. If you have a Subaru with nice/expensive parts this is not the dealership you want to go to.
