All of the coaches put in 110% in to make sure all of their athletes are correctly doing a movement. What's great is that they don't do it for the money; they do because they're passionate about CrossFit and helping others become better athletes. I can honestly say I love coming here because I'm always learning something new. The coaches are able to notice when you're doing something wrong and address it immediately because safety is always first. The box itself is always clean and tidy, the equipment is ready for an athlete's use, and they stay organized by posting what the WOD is on Facebook. They are committed to every single athlete they have; no one is ever treated differently than another. I love this place so much and have learned so much in such a short amount of time!

I had signed my teenage son up for self defense/fitness classes because he wanted to get in shape in a fun way. Rick suggested I sign him up for the next level since he was certain that once my son started with the program he would eventually want to spar and compete so why not save money and sign up now. I assured him that would not be the issue and after going round and round with him trying to tell me I'd be sorry in the end when I'd be out more money I reluctantly still signed him up for what I originally came in for. A few days later at his pediatrician appointment my son mentioned to her that he was starting the program. I explained it and told the story of my encounter to both her and my son. She was very adamant that my son should not be sparring due to his several concussions he has had in the past. Since I signed a contract with the place Rick would not return the $230 dollars I zelled to him. He said "a contract is a contract." This may be true but due to the given circumstances and even having my son's doctor write a letter to him explaining why he can't be in that situation I was still denied the $230 even though my son never started. It's very disheartening that this business treats customers like this. I'm a former business owner and I couldn't fathom treating someone with the disrespect I had encountered.

I've been waiting for a boxing gym to open up locally-- and I was so glad when I saw Patriot open…read moreits doors. The classes offered at Patriot give you an awesome workout and I really enjoy it. I had taken a boxing class at another gym, but it wasn't nearly as intense of a workout as the boxing classes offered here. The boxing classes aren't instructional boxing classes- they're more fitness boxing cardio with boxing elements in it. Any level of fitness can jump in the classes, and the classes are totally a mix of people. Guys who were seemingly super fit were sweating right along ladies in their 40s with weight loss goals. I'm almost 30 and trying to get back in shape. There were some younger girls and older guys, too. The people taking the class are always nice, too. None of the guys in the class have ever made me feel like I shouldn't be there. I will say this-- once the class starts, I'm so focused on getting through it myself that I kind of have tunnel-vision for myself. The other people are there, but I'm in my own head as I give it my all. Some instructors spend more time on the bag and doing different moves/combos than others, but there always is SOME bag time in the boxing classes and you usually have a decent mix of doing other circuits/exercises to get you in shape. You're moving non-stop and sweating the ENTIRE time. I liken the experience to getting on a roller coaster-- it's a little scary, you're nervous, not entirely sure what to expect, but once you get on it (or start the class) it's time to go. You can't get off (well, I suppose you could leave the class, but who would want to!?) and you just keep going. Before you know it, it's over. But it was awesome, worth it, and you can't wait to do it again. For actual boxers, they do offer sparring and some mma stuff where you actually box people if that's your thing. I don't really want my face messed up, so I stick to the classes with the bags. They offer open gym, though I've never needed to take advantage of it (classes multiple times a week take care of me). I imagine someone who is actually training to box would love it, though. They also do kick boxing, but I like to stick with just regular boxing. The instructors are super friendly, encouraging, and kind. If you can't do an exercise in the circuit, you can easily do a modified version without ridicule. They're offering more and more classes since they opened and seem to be open to community feedback to make sure they're a gym that can stay. I hope they do. I love it.

Dawna, who is the main administrator, is helpful and engaging. I was going pretty regularly at the start but then took a pause after a medical diagnosis that required that I get more serious about strength training. I knew I needed time to get into the new routine and put my account on hold. As my hold was ending, I engaged Title to figure out the best plan to be on as I wanted to try to keep boxing as part of my routine even if it couldn't be my primary exercise. I had narrowed it down to 4xs a month but missed informing them by 1 day. I requested that they make an adjustment - especially given the series of texts indicating my need to downgrade. Despite that, they refused and are continuing to charge me for unlimited ($50 extra dollars). I decided to cancel and expressed disappointment about the situation. At first they followed their standard process and let me know I'd have to pay an additional month. However, after they received my feedback about the circumstances, they gave me some options for the added month in response t to my circumstances. So - great trainers - and be careful about committing - they have a lot of contractural rules and it can be tricky to navigate.
