I'm visiting from Tennessee…read moreand arrived on Sunday, and booked the appt with Citrus Clean Co. on Monday morning after seeing the condition of the home. I'm beyond desperate! I was told that Tammy would be arriving at 9am on Thursday. The company was kind enough to send me a reminder on Wednesday at 4pm to confirm. Fast forward to 8:21am, day of, and the office calls to cancel. I've already paid for and sent to the grandsons to a babysitter for the entire 8 hours today, AND it's going to take 7-10 business days to refund my $648 I prepaid for your cleaning service. You've cost me money now. Your customer service was very friendly, but it's nothing when it only adds up to trouble and frustration for the customer you said you'd provide a service to. Thanks for nothing.

(I used request a quote on Yelp.) They had an opening the next day so they put me on the schedule. I had to split the payments into two and the phone rep was super patient in sending the invoice to make sure that happened. (FYI - you need to pay the invoice prior to cleaning.) I got a basic one time cleaning, which was two hours of the cleaner's time. I told her to start with/focus on the bathroom and kitchen, and she spent most of her time in the bathroom. As in almost the whole two hours. That's ok though, because afterwards it was immaculate, and I hate deep cleaning the bathroom the most so it was nice to have help with it. She did get to the counters and the kitchen sink, and the kitchen in general was looking nice too. The cleaning was really thorough, the cleaner was polite and professional. This was a once in a while thing because I had a voucher from work I could use, but I would book again.

Brits Housekeeping - Does this look like it was "deep Cleaned"?

DO NOT USE Brits Housekeeping! I asked for a Spring Cleaning…read moreand Brit said she would "Deep Clean" everything. She said it would cost extra if they had to move stuff, so I "precleaned" so all they had to do was the cleaning. She and her helper were at the house less than 4 hours and "Deep Cleaned" the kitchen, living room and dining room. When she got to the house she texted me asking for payment, before she left she asked for payment and several times throughtout the day. I paid her before I got home to see the poor cleaning job Brit had done. She missed sweeping and mopping under the heat registers, the window sills, the cobwebs in the corners, the dust on the TV, picture frames, and lamp shade or ceiling fan. Didn't wipe down the walls, didn't clean the couch, futon or loveseats. Didn't clean under or behind the loveseat or couch. Didn't clean the oven. I sent pictures and said I was very disappointed with the work she had done. She said she was at work and didn't have her phone and couldn't respond. I paid her what she asked for and all I wanted was the job to be done. Now the house is still not clean and since she has not responded, it's obvious she's not willing to make it right.

If you want your home cleaned DO NOT hire this person!!!…read more I booked an appointment for Brit to come and Deep Clean a 1 bed/1 bath home that had not been occupied for awhile. She cancelled the first appointment after she was already supposed to be at the house and rescheduled me. She then cam out the following week while I was gone, so I left cash on the counter for her. She left after 1 hour of "cleaning" in which she cleaned 4 total surfaces and did not dust a thing. There was dust and cobwebs still hanging from the ceiling fans, all over the windows and window sills, nose prints from dogs on all the windows and accumulated dust on every single surface other than the 4 she actually cleaned. Nothing was dusted or "deep cleaned" by any definition. I then called her to explain and give her the opportunity to come back and make it right and finish the job. She continued to yell at me and say she did everything that I said she didn't. I then sent her a picture of the dust and cobwebs and she apologized then continued to blame it on her "employee", the neighbors told me her so called employee looked like her very young daughter. She then booked a day the following week to come out and finish the job and NEVER SHOWED UP. I am now out the $160 I paid and now have to do the job I paid her for myself.

Dirt was still caked on the edges/bottom of drawers and cabinets, broken glass in the dishwasher, scum that she claimed she could not remove but I did with a paper towel, and dust on the outer inch of every carpet, to name just a few of the things she missed. We read her reviews on Facebook - which were falsely positive - but boy do I wish we had read the bad reviews on Yelp. Best case scenario: She does NOT know how to deep clean. Worst case scenario: She's a con artist who took advantage of a young couple buying their first home. Considering the fact she did NOT offer any refund or to come back and do the job well, I believe she is the second option.

Plenty of accessible surfaces weren't touched and the kitchen floors still felt sticky when they were done. But I do appreciate that she came out and gave us a quote in advance. She also came when she said she would. That gave me the sense that they were pros we could count on long term, but unfortunately that wasn't the case here.
