The job ended up being bigger than originally thought due to parts of the house not being accessible during the first walk though, but they were still able to accomplish it within our timeframe. They also went above and beyond to locate a missing piece of artwork that a family member wanted. In addition to the house cleanout, we contracted them to do landscaping on the overgrown yard. MIlton was able to get in there before our real estate photo were taken and it greatly helped us speed up the sale of the house. I work in a position that requires every aspect of my job to be in place before the actual encounter date. I expected this company to be professionals and have everything in line before the moving date. In hindsight I see why the two moving companies I called before Garden State said they would send someone over a guy to do an estimate. The movers came and said nothing to me about not being packed correctly. I left for a moment and the foreman called Nicole and said I did not pack right. I'm no professional but I thought I did a great job. Nicole decided since I had three guys, (mind you the new guy was sick most of the move) and I did not pack right that she was raising the rate from $145 an hr. to $190 an hr. and taking away the 10% discount agreed upon in the contract. My bed is not properly put together, and I can't find screws for tv stands and other things, it's just a mess. I rely heavily on honest reviews, and I am happy that others seemed to have a good experience. Not me. BEWARE!!!

Home Depot dropped it in my doorway and refused to bring it any further. I called Garden State movers on a Saturday to which a very friendly lady took all my info, explained everything I needed to know, gave me a price, and gave me the time that they were arriving within a hour. A half hour before they came I received a phone call telling me exactly when they would arrive. When the 2 gentlemen arrived they introduced they're selves with a hand shake, and they then scoped out the job first. I questioned them that there was only 2 of them, how would they be be able to lift the vanity even though they Both were pretty buff. They had the vanity and the top in the bathroom in matter of 10 minutes. They were both very careful watching that they didn't drop or bang the vanity. While we realistically knew that not everything would arrive in pristine condition, we were astounded at the amount of things packed by Sea Cure that arrived broken or damaged. They were steady going through narrow door frames and stairwells. They moved 7 rooms of family heirlooms [ treasured antiques] with no dings, no bumps, no scratches, not even one mishap. The Move Crew LLC insisted on a quick FaceTime assessment for our 3,200 sq. ft. out-of-state move rather than an in-person walkthrough, repeatedly assuring us a 26-ft truck would suffice. On moving day, they arrived late at 10:41 AM. Because of their gross underestimation, an entire 20-ft truck's worth of furniture and boxes was left behind. Worse, George refused to carry the remaining furniture down from the second floor, stating he "didn't want to burn out his guys"--items they would have had to move anyway had they properly estimated the job. After paying them $2,800, we were forced to pay thousands more out of pocket for a separate truck and crew to finish moving our own home. On top of abandoning us, they damaged every single wardrobe box and clothing bag, causing hundreds of dollars in property damage due to total carelessness. Note for future customers: When the company inevitably replies with their canned PR response claiming "allegations are disputed" or citing "hundreds of positive reviews," know that this is how they handle accountability when they fail. Their lack of care, poor estimation, and complete refusal to finish the job ruined our move.
