It was late so I pulled over and did some homework... these lights were going to derate my truck in a few hours! I found this Cummins location a couple hours out from where I was in Chattanooga, TN. I got a hotel room for the night in that town & was in their truck yard the next morning before the break of dawn praying they could squeeze me in and help me 1st thing. Someone found me out there and brought me in where I was greeted by Eric Tanker, the Service Manager before they were even open! Eric listened to me and reassured me they were there to help. He introduced me to May, who had just started working there and she was phenomenal. She was able to do a quick diagnostic & get the information over to Daniel in the office. Daniel verified the TRP code I gave him that I thought I needed from doing my homework to get home. Once he arrived at the same solution, he had Matt the technician start on my truck right away. Then, as I'm waiting in the lounge May came up to update me and handed me an information sheet that stated this was a known issue, how to work around it for now, what to do at each fill up, next steps to fix it down the road, & that THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE to me for any of it! They had me fixed & back on the road that morning, I couldn't believe it. They definitely exceeded my expectations. Everyone I interacted with seemed to enjoy their job and were happy to help. It was an amazing experience and I am SO grateful that I landed here for help.

Disappointing Experience at the Dealership I wanted to…read moreexpress my disappointment with my visit to Mtn View Hyundai dealership, as I felt it was a waste of my time. I spoke with Lyn (a general manager) yesterday, I was very clear about the offers I had received from other dealerships on my vehicle. She assured me that she could significantly beat the offers that I had received. I specifically mentioned that I did not want to come in unless that was the case. She also stated that there was an interested buyer for my vehicle and that a deal could certainly be made for a new Elantra around the price point I was looking for. However, when I arrived, the offer presented to me was thousands of dollars less than what was discussed. My vehicle is like new and they did not have any negative remarks that would affect the price. Additionally, they tried to upsell me on the same Elantra that I was interested in. It was priced $2,000 higher than the online listing (excluding fees) and I was told that they were helping me out by not charging me $5,000 grand over list price. Lyn also assured me that the appraisal process would be quick, taking no more than 10 minutes, yet that was not the case (over an hour). Overall, the information I was provided was misleading and was a tactic simply to get me into the dealership. I had previously heard negative feedback about this location but wanted to give it a fair chance. Unfortunately, my experience reinforced those concerns, and as a result, I cannot recommend this dealership to others. That said, I do want to acknowledge the new sales associate who assisted me--he was professional and pleasant to work with, which was the one positive takeaway from my visit. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as transparency and honesty are essential in earning customer trust.

Evening service personnel are rude. Will go to the Hyundai dealer in Hixon before coming back here. Came in around 5:15pm. After the tech went to management the work was done. I took my wife's car to Stapp for several repairs - an exhaust rattle, an alternator replacement,…read morean oil change, reinstalling an under-engine splash guard that had come loose, and replacing the electric door lock actuator on the passenger front door. All repairs were performed professionally and at a fair price. I would not hesitate to take her car there in the future for any needed future maintenance or repairs. This is an old fashioned 4 bay shop with no waiting room, so you will probably have to drop your car off and pick it up later.

I came in with a vehicle throwing a certain code. I told them the code on my car and what was going on. After about 20 minutes, I was told I needed a major repair. That's fine. The bad part was as I was telling the service manager I would be thinking it over and come back, he THEN tells me I have to pay an $80 diagnostic fee. I expressed my disbelief since they advertise free estimates and I gave him the code, but he didn't really care. He proceeded to tell me how much his diagnostic machine cost and the monthly subscription for it. I asked what was covered under the free estimates. Apparently, it's the hand-written list of numbers it will cost for the repair. I didn't feel like they wanted my business. Strange considering I know my car needs other repairs, so who knows how much money they could've gotten from me? Certainly more than $80 wrapped into the final price of the repairs.
