Shoutout to the squad at Clark Tire Service. This is my third visit the past couple of years and they always got my back. They're straight shooters no bs. Not counting the wait time being 3rd in line, when it was my turn, tire changes, they got me in and out in 15-20 minutes with a great price on a new tire and a warranty too. Just note, you only enter from Clark then exit out back, which honestly great flow of traffic, makes it easy. See y'all for my fourth visit in the future! read more

I have used Clark Tire service for year, through 4 different vehicles and have never been steered in the wrong direction. I've always relied on their honesty and fair prices. I had 2 Yaris's, both requiring special size tires, which has to be ordered. At Costco we were told it would be a week before they would have them, Clark Tire had the next day. When I knew we were due for new tires, I would just call them, and they would be there the following day, no down pay, no hassle. When we bought our current car (used) we knew it needed all the tires replaced. The dealership only had one brand that was $750 per tire. I got 4 brand new tires from Clark for a grand total of $550. And they had them in stock. 45 minutes later I was back on the road. I highly recommend them to all my friends and family, and no one has had any complaint. They praise the quality, service and value they provide. read more

This shop has always been respectable and kind to me as a female driver. The shop's services are affordable and the quotes are fair and honest. I have typically taken my car here for used tires, oil changes, and a recent strut replacement. The shop can get backed up at times, but I see this as a good sign that drivers in the community trust their work and don't mind the wait. read more

Had a cracked rim on my BMW, they were able to fix but had issues with the same rim about a month later. They fixed it again, no charge because of the warranty they have on repairs. Ethical group of guys read more

I grew up down the street from this place, I have gone here over the years for friendly, honest service. (Always a hint of flirtation, but I didn't mind as long as my car was getting serviced and I wasn't being charged an arm and a leg.) Unfortunately, it seems those attributes for this place have fallen off. I went with my partner on Saturday and the guys were rude! I had low air tire pressure and they took my tire, went in the back, didn't tell us anything, and so my partner asked what he did and he replied with an attitude. Clearly they don't care about communication or being friendly to customers. (Or perhaps you only get good service if you're a woman by herself.) whatever the case is, I do not recommend this place. It feels predatory and negative these days. read more

Clark tires is a family owned buisness for over 50 years in buisness. The service is top flight , quick and the owners still operate with the utmost integrity. the absolute lowest prices Garunteed!! Go anywhere else on the same block. Went in for a tire plug and they slashed my sidewall to try to scam me into a used tire. Horribly unprofessional. This place is a joke read more

Clark Tires is the best automotive repair shop in the Rogers Park, Evanston area. I have been taking my old Grand Prix here for repairs and maintenance for over a decade and the car runs like new after each visit. Pricing is reasonable, Carlos is an extraordinary mechanic who at this point has at one time or another repaired or replaced nearly every mechanical component of my over 20 year old vehicle. The owner Joe has always been honest and fair in regard to any repairs He's always kept me informed of things that may be failing next, so I could be prepared if and when something went out. I've had major engine service such as intake manifold gasket replacement done (due to mfgr recall,) and things such as complete AC system rebuild, radiator replacement, rack and pinion replacement, tires plugged, trans service, tune up plugs and wires, door lock actuators, etc. The pricing is always fair and reasonable he gives honest quotes and assessments of what is wrong have always been spot on. I am happy to have found this shop after having bad experiences at other shops The Evanston and Rogers Park area. I cannot recommend this shop enough. read more

Horrible place. They charge you more than they need to! They are charging for a piece and then a whole set of the same piece. They never worked on the car, they had us waiting for two hours. Once my partner was going to check the car, they didn't do NO work. The service was just completely horrible. This shop is a rip off. read more

service was fast and efficient. Highly recommend! I am a young female that knows nothing about cars but the gentleman was honest and did not try to scam me. I came in for all around brakes and he was honest and told me I only needed front brakes. read more

Went to get my low tire looked at on a Saturday morning. I did not wait at all. He greeted me kindly, checked it, filled it, and my other tires. I asked how much I owed him he asked me what did I think was fair. I gave him a $20 and was on my way. read more

Very friendly owner with his sons that works here. Helped me out on a good price altogether for the work I had done with brake pads along with a new exhaust pipe. Would recommend this place to people looking for a friendly family run business that deserves to be supported. Thank you again for helping me and my car. read more

I would like to start off saying that the employees here were pretty nice. I came in to fix a flat tire and ends up needing to replace it Altogether. I was leaning towards a new tire because they seemed to have good deals but was swayed to just get a used one since I would be replacing all my tires soon anyways. The service didn't take long, maybe 30-44 min wait in the morning. As they were putting the used tire in, I heard air coming out of it. They assured me that they were letting air out to match the rest of my tires. I should have stuck with my gut instinct and ask them to give me another used tire. As I was driving out the lot I saw my tire pressure indicator on my dash was still lit and they reassured me that this would go away as I drove throughout the day(it never did). Two days later while driving on the eway I get a flat on this same tire. I tried to inflate it but it wouldn't go. I called Clark tire service to let them know that they obviously gave me a faulty tire and the guys response was "well that's what happens with used tires, they can last a year or they can last a day but you don't know and you don't have a warranty". I honestly was appalled and so frustrated. That was $50 gone down the drain. Do yourself a favor and never buy a used tire from them. read more

Here's the short version (continue reading below for the longer version): they patched up my tire in less than 15 minutes. Great quick service for under $20! Can't beat that! When I arrived it seemed like it was going to be awhile as there were several cars in front of me, which makes sense considering I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon when everyone else is doing the same thing. So, I settle in to wait awhile and, before you know it, one of the mechanics waves me up. I'm thinking, great! I can take my pups for a quick walk, maybe do a bit of shopping down Clark street. Well, I walked my pups around the block, came back to check on my car and they diagnosed the issue, gave me a price, and said they'd be done shortly. By the time I went in and paid, my car was pretty much done. Great service and super quick. Two thumbs up! read more

Lighting fast and super economical. I had a flat and was in and out in less than five minutes. it was nuts.

I got a flat tire and called them to get pricing and availability on a new one since I knew it couldn't be repaired. The man on the phone was super friendly, gave me a price and told me to come in whenever it was best for me. I came the next day on a Saturday around noon and they replaced my tire within minutes! The process was super smooth, the guy who took my payment was extremely friendly and the guy who changed our tire was very nice. This place might not look much but they have exceeded my expectations. They work quick, gets you on your way sooner than you expected. I have brought my car here for multiple tire and rims situations and they always get the job done. I needed new tires for a special aftermarket rims and they ordered it at 7 pm and by 10:30 am the. Ext day, it is ready. I recommend this place read more

I would give this place a zero rating if I could. Came to have them check if my rim was cracked since tire kept leaking (this was the 3rd time I brought it to them to check the same problem). The worker broke the threading of 4 out of 5 of the nuts holding the tire plus broke off 2 more nuts from the other tire that I never came in for. I call the boss and he has the nerve to tell me it's my fault his worker broke 6 total nut threadings with his impact gun because I was "telling" his worker how not to destroy my vehicle. I should have called the police because the owner did not pay to fix the damages his worker caused. This place destroys cars and does not pay for the damages. I barely managed to drive the car to a mechanic to repair what they did with only one nut holding the tire in place. Better places all along Clark. read more

As usual love this place! Tire repairs are not expensive. Used tire with good tread normally around $45. The guys are pleasant to work with. I always leave better than I came in. read more

Quick & Simple, out in 15 min!!! When I arrived there were 5 cars in front of me and I was there for a total of about 20 min & they replaced my 2 back tires. They moved fast, was courteous and filled the air in my front 2 tires. Will be back in 2 weeks for my alignment, and will def become a repeat customer! As a FYI I received 2 used back tires and they replaced my spare. All for $94 bucks, not too bad at all. read more

Finding a trustworthy mechanic is as daunting and important to my sanity as fining a good doctor. Except I see a the mechanic more often. I first went here because it was within 2 blocks of my home and I needed a quick tire fix.It is his tiny little shed of a shop wedges into a tight corner lot off of Clark, but don't let the appearance put you off. They pointed out the mechanical issue that caused my tires to wear out. They told me all options from short-term to permanent fix without pressure to choose. I had they do the full repair of my suspension , and at a very competitive price. When I paid the bill (for a job done early) the receipt was this paper with the owner's picture, name, email, phone number, CITY BUSINESS LICENCE NUMBER, and guarantee of his shop's work. I was impressed, as that gave me a sense of his commitment to doing quality work. I have been back for another fix with a different car,and had the same quick, courteous and affordable service. This place is a gem. The priced are great, the service is quick, and they are not pushy/condescending. read more

They are so rude and talk to you anyway avoid this place at all cost. I came for a wheel alignment and when I received my car it was driving the same way. My car Kept leading to the right. I was a little skeptical of the reviews here, so I thought I'd at least let my fellow Yelpers know about my experience. Got a flat on my back rear tire and the front passenger was looking a little suspect. Called over to see what the wait would be, and I was advised to come on in. As soon as I pulled in the guys were ready, I hopped out and they went to work. I appreciated the gentleman telling me the back tire was a no go, as well as not up selling me on a new tire when I asked to replace the front tire also. Instead, he stated he'd look at the front tire first, because he'd rather me fix it than replace it. Turns out the front one had a nail so they patched it, and I replaced the back tire (used). I was in and out in less than 30 mins. They seem to be doing good business as there were at least 6 cars pulling in as I was leaving. I love it when services I need are right in the heart of the neighborhood. Just a sidebar: The guy in the office was a sweetheart, my 4 year old was obsessed with their rim pamphlets, I didn't want her to take it since we weren't buying new rims, but he gave her one of his older versions. Totally avoided a battle/meltdown. Yes, for me it's the little things! In a nutshell, yes, there are some reviews that are less than stellar, but nobody is perfect. So as long as you continue to see positive reviews, chalk those up as a bad day. Your choice. read more

I love this place! The guys that work here are so friendly and the owner (I think he's the owner?) is no nonsense and fair. I've come here twice with a slow leak in a different tire each time. I've come around 4-5pm ish and never had to wait more than 10 minutes, they are super speedy! And the price is right, $15 for a plug, nobody tried to tell me I needed a new tire or upsell me or anything. Definitely come here and support local businesses! read more

I just had a bad valve leaking and they charged me $30 for a 81 cent valve. totally a rip off, I would not recommend this place

Great service and an overall great ability to connect with the customer and get them back on the road fast!

After a long day of dealing with incompetent mechanics and ridiculous prices, to come here and have everything done well and at a great price was wonderful. I've always gone to Clark Tire for anything tire-related with any of my cars. They always have the best prices around with excellent employees. I do a fair amount of work on my own cars and finding a place with good prices and good work is an extreme rarity - and they have it. I had 4 tires that needed to be put on and they balanced them and everything for only $80. Every other place I had called quoted me at at least $120. When you find a car place that does quality work at a good price, stick with them. Clark Tire will always have my business. read more

I have been to this place twice in the past 2 years and both times the service was fast and reliable.

After revisiting once again, Joe actually asked one of his technicians to fix the scratches on my wheels and balanced my tires as well.
